Hi i have a 9 year old son who is doing well but a new coach has told him to put his hands together near the bottom of the handle which has made him hit the ball much harder however it has impacted his touch play , i never played cricket so have just followed all the coaches he has had but my son does not like his new grip do you have any advice please?
ur son should use what is most commfortable, the grip ur coach recommended was the type of grip only power hitters use not proper batsmen, in my opinion u should continute ur son with his current delivery unless its really bad, in my opinion having ur hands in the middle is the best and most balanced
Very useful pls continue

Its him who will play not the coach
Tell him to do the way in which he is comfortable in
I was always told that the hands closer to the bottom meant more control but less power. He could be wrong tho,@@heshaamqureshi3298
