Fun episode! The Wooing of Abigail Jones is one of my top five favourite Bonanza episodes. That said, I never clued into the issue of Hank’s tendency to violence when he didn’t get what he wanted. This is the early 1960’s and issues like this were seldom discussed…pre Women’s Liberation. Regardless, I watch this episode when I want to laugh, and that won’t change. As to whether I think Adam, and then Joe and Adam, did the right thing by interfering in Hoss’ love life. I think they did. They love their brother and they know he’s an innocent when it comes to affairs of the heart. Like someone else commented here…I love that final scene in She Walks in Beauty when Adam and Hoss walk away from the stagecoach and Hoss puts his arm around Adam. All’s well between the brothers.
From this list, I would have to go with the Wooing of Abigail Jones being my favorite. It's such a funny episode. And I absolutely love Adam singing Early One Morning. It's on the Ponderosa Party Time album and I can't help but think of that scene with Abigail when I listen to it. 🤣🤣 For She Walks in Beauty which I also loved, I don't think Adam was wrong necessarily, it's almost similar to The Courtship in a way. Hoss had to learn the hard way. Although I hate when his heart gets broken because his is a lot bigger than most so it makes it that much harder to watch. 🥺😭 I love The Magnificent Adah simply for that one scene with Hoss fighting John. Very powerful scene and one of the reasons why I love the Cartwrights. I haven't seen The Dark Gate in a while but I remember I loved that part at the end, Adam's conversation with Hoss and that he was his friend again in those last moments. 🥺 Heritage of Anger is an underrated episode in my opinion as is season 14 as a whole. Great topic and video, I'm sure there are many more matchmaker episodes but I can't place them at the moment, lol. 🤔
All these episodes to me show love of family (as most Bonanza episodes). In She Walks in Beauty, my favorite parts of the love between Adam and Hoss are ironically during the fight. The fact that Adam didn’t fight back showed me just how much he loved and respected Hoss. My other favorite part was at the end when Adam and Hoss met up in town and Hoss said let’s go home and put his arm around Adam’s shoulder. ❤ As I write this I realize I pretty much went off topic of the podcast but I guess I just wanted to mention the Cartwright family love.
@ Ha oh no no no I could never do these podcasts any better. You’re the one who causes your followers to think and express their thoughts and feelings. Your podcasts make me smile in this crazy world! 💕
She walks in beauty. I still thinks that Adam did the right thing. He gives her a change to see if she changed but she kissing Adam then knew she is still the same and Hoss will be hurt. The kiss he didn t expecting . He felt bad that Hoss saw it thats why he didn t defend himself as Hoss beats him up.
The wooing of Ms. Abigail was so funny. Adam as usual was ahhmazing. ❤❤❤
@@genettalacey2627 Yep, aside from the specifics about Hank, a pretty great episode.

@teresamadan7978 You're gonna make me cry. Thank you so much.
I was just singing "Stupid Cupid" by Connie Francis today..lololol
@sandrasanders706 I've had this idea rattling around in my brain since last year and it's been in my head ever since. 😆

@josecorporaal6470 I agree. I don't think he was surprised by it though. Him not fighting back when Hoss hit him made me love him more.
