    I built 2-wire and 4-wire hydraulic hose at work very often as one of the services we offer. 95% of the hoses that come in are from the hose itself failing, rather than the fitting breaking/seizing. Its impressive how long the fittings can last in various environments and climates and still function as you'd expect while the best thing you can do for the rubber sometimes is just trying to put protective sleeves around them to get another year or so.

    So this type of hydraulic line doesn't have to be crimped?

      That’s correct the way the fittings screw on keeps them secured

    How do you feel about these fittings in thermoplastic parflex ?

      I haven’t used them on that type of hose but i think the thermoplastic has a thinner sidewall? so might take special fittings

      I usually make them for hydraulic lines but sometimes for air lines or diesel fuel

    How much pressure good for?

      5000 psi max is the advertised pressure rating
