This case hit me hard since day one. As a father of two girls the ages of Abby and Libby at the time, I couldn’t ever imagine the heartbreak of their families. This case shouldn’t be let go and, we can all learn from this horrible tragedy. Much love to the Delphi community and the families of those two girls. Justice has finally come and, it will never be enough but, the bravery of those girls to turn on their phone at such a vital time, will ensure they rest easy. RIP 🙏
If he doesn't get the death penalty, he'll have a terrible time in prison. However, if he does get it, he won't have to worry about anything, especially being put to death. He's 50 right now, so he'll probably be 53-55 by the time he gets sentenced, so he would most likely die a natural death before his execution could be performed.
Death row is on the table for a lot of states, and none of them actually give it. It's sad it's a dying punishment (no pun intended), just too many softies now a days. Smdh

I've been following this case from day one and am happy to see there has finally been an arrest. This is the 1st time I'm hearing about the grandparent's interaction with him while having photos made for the funeral, heartbreaking detail. I find it hard to believe this is Richard's first offense. I think this is just his 1st time getting caught (murderers usually commit crimes that eventually lead them to murder) Now that he's been arrested I hope people will come forward with information they never thought was relevant to this case or any other crime he might have committed.

And turns out, both drawing were accurate The picture that they show of allen isn't accurate to what he looks like normally. He had hooded eyes. I totally agree. Huge difference between somebody in their 20's and somebody in their 50's. I saw an old man in that video, not a young guy. Dude flew under the radar because of it! And neither composites looked like him.
Sketches are from memories of people. Trying to tell someone the features of a face they saw in quick passing is rather difficult. If you're not 100% focused on someone, you're not going to provide a picture perfect description.
It's possible that now this suspect has been arrested, someone may report something that they didn't really connect about something about him in his actions or whatever. I'm sure law enforcement is keeping info close until trial so it can't be tainted.
I watched a video about this case on RUclips channel- It’s A Crime. Richard Allen had taken a pic of his daughter on the bridge. She looked just like Libby. His wife deleted her Facebook account shortly after the murders. The wife had to have known her husband was a murderer. Allen also has the same gait/walk in Libby’s video. It’s been 5 years since this happened.

I live in a small town in NE Arizona. I grow more and more horrified by the brazenness of evil and its tentacles into small towns across our nation. When I was a child, such evil was in urban areas almost exclusively. Rarely in small towns. Now, everywhere we turn, large or small, evil is coming out of the shadows in horrific brazenness. If not for my faith, I'd be scared to death.
It's not that people are more evil now, it's that we're more informed. In the global society we share, now we have a lot less privacy (thankfully) so much more abuse and previously excused behavior is revealed to the public eye. Predators have less shadows to hide behind.

He had Access to PII...names, addresses, dob, etc. People are getting hung up on the pictures. Yes, that's creepy but he had private information on almost everyone in town.
I think the sadness is being replaced with some peace that the killer has been identified and that the case is still being aggressively worked on. That has to be a very secure feeling in the small community. Peace and hope is a strong energy and I hope it vibrates through the town quickly.
One person came over to my house saying she was being questioned about a death investigation,.then another. Women talked to me saying basically. I was in a area that another girl is dead. Why do people talk to me about death. This crazy.

It is bewildering to think it’s his first crime but like Colonel Russell Williams in Canada beginning like that made it sound like a ‘mid life crisis’ to act out finally the fantasies that plagued him for years. So many wives adapt to weirdness that to them it’s become normal. They rarely tell the truth if they truly suspected something, it usually isn’t this kind of crime.

Saw the clip of the killer and the girls on the bridge years ago and it has always haunted me... Never left my mind.. I have never given up thinking that he would be caught.. I live about 40 miles south of Delphi, and I’m really proud of our Indiana LE! They’ve been doing such great work on this case and I’m sure they will continue to! Big step forward arresting this man.

She may have had suspicions and then some denial, but I’m betting she came to terms and left him (allegedly they were separated and divorcing at the time of arrest). She may even have gone to the police! We really don’t know anything.

I find it amazing that in such a small town no one could identify the image of the man on the bridge given that it was broadcast across the world, you would think that someone might have made the connection between that man walking on the bridge and the alleged Richard Allen.
Right, he has a wife and daughter. They didn’t recognize the clothing he was wearing. His neighbors? He lived or worked right next to the police department. NO ONE suspected him? I still do not understand why 2 young teenage girls were out in the midfle of nowhere so remote from any kind of help in case of emergency in the woods on an abandoned railroad bridge unsupervised.
They’ve kept SO much to themselves, how they died, sexual assault or DNA found, phone records, or even the reason for the dichotomy between the two composites. I always felt it had to be a predator who was out trolling, someone local who knew school was closed and where teen girls go. There can be no motive good enough for what happened. I'm so sick of hearing about how kids get abused and killed and the only question that stays in my head is "is there a death penalty?". He is being held in a prison away from Delphi for HIS protection. Meaning he knows a lot and they want that information. That must be why everything is sealed.

I've been following this case from day one and am happy to see there has finally been an arrest. This is the 1st time I'm hearing about the grandparent's interaction with him while having photos made for the funeral, heartbreaking detail. I find it hard to believe this is Richard's first offense. I think this is just his 1st time getting caught (murderers usually commit crimes that eventually lead them to murder) Now that he's been arrested I hope people will come forward with information they never thought was relevant to this case or any other crime he might have committed.

Sketches are from memories of people. Trying to tell someone the features of a face they saw in quick passing is rather difficult. If you're not 100% focused on someone, you're not going to provide a picture perfect description.

His wife deleted her Facebook account shortly after the murders. The wife had to have known her husband was a murderer. Allen also has the same gait/walk in Libby’s video. It’s been 5 years since this happened.

I live in a small town in NE Arizona. I grow more and more horrified by the brazenness of evil and its tentacles into small towns across our nation. When I was a child, such evil was in urban areas almost exclusively. Rarely in small towns. Now, everywhere we turn, large or small, evil is coming out of the shadows in horrific brazenness. If not for my faith, I'd be scared to death.
It's not that people are more evil now, it's that we're more informed. In the global society we share, now we have a lot less privacy (thankfully) so much more abuse and previously excused behavior is revealed to the public eye. Predators have less shadows to hide behind.

I think the sadness is being replaced with some peace that the killer has been identified and that the case is still being aggressively worked on. That has to be a very secure feeling in the small community. Peace and hope is a strong energy and I hope it vibrates through the town quickly.

I find it amazing that in such a small town no one could identify the image of the man on the bridge given that it was broadcast across the world, you would think that someone might have made the connection between that man walking on the bridge and the alleged Richard Allen.

Just thinking about the fact that he developed pictures at CVS where the families went and probably tons of other families that have children. It just makes you wonder if he just sat back and looked at these pictures non-stop until they were picked up. I just thought about that when I got out of the shower because I just can't make my mind up about the wife, if she knew or not but either way, the daughter didn't know. It's just so sad to think about what they're going to go through and with the families of the victims have already gone through, as well as the victims. All because a monster decided to do something stupid to try to make himself feel sensational

@@tmn8547 I think there is def a connection.. maybe they just didn't figure it out until recently but they had been watching him for a little while b4 arresting him. I think he was a possible suspect but then they got info that confirmed. Not sure if he's bridge guy but even if not, they're MUCH CLOSER! I think there was someone else working with bridge guy. It was allegedly all filmed so someone was holding the camera. I'm wondering if they have the footage of the murder? Omg I couldn't watch it. Supposedly they tore his yard up and found underwear and 1 sock
After the news conference I believe it was the grandma that spoke said that when the family went to pick up some photos from CVS, Richard gave them to the family free of charge out of generosity for loosing the girls. Sicko
I agree this is very sad for his child also as for these families of those beautiful girls who were so talented and smart in school and that was taken from them and from there families to see them graduate and go on to do something wonderful with there life .
Heck, developing photos is nothing compared to being a Pharmacy Tech and having access to date of birth, address, family members, etc.

I'm disturbed by the fact that the media and the police both talking about it as if the case was solved. I hope they got the right guy, but it wouldn't be the first time police charging the wrong person. And now with all the bell and whistle, would the police ever owe up if this turned out to be a wrongful arrest? Innocence till proven guilty Sir?
You don't know what police have on this guy. Probably loads of evidence, so they have a right to look/speak confident.
Let’s hope they do have enough evidence that there is no doubt of his guilt BUT he is entitled to a fair trial before he is pronounced guilty.

I’m wondering if the wife took these videos and pictures so that she could give some clues that it was her husband that did it, because she was too scared to come out and say that he’s guilty because of the past domestic violence. She was probably scared he would kill her
I have such a hard time believing that sheriff cut off multiple leads to focus on an unlikely suspect. If nothing else, this certainly isn't a one man crime.
