If you read all of that I love you :)
I played men’s club soccer at Illinois State , I’d recommend trying out for a club soccer team if you’re looking to carry on playing at a decent level and meet some people. Best part was the away games against the big 10 schools likes Illinois , Indiana and Iowa which are really fun college towns. Surprised SDSU were not in our conference would’ve been good to play you guys👍🏼 keep it up anyway
mrblueberry thanks man, you too!! Maybe we can play each other in the regional tournament. I know we play teams from the big 10 if we do.
Sup Lil Lebron. Great work on the videos! Keep up the good work bro!
MitchDaBaker thanks Mitch 🤟🏾😎
That is one nice intro!
ngere thanks!!
SDSU doesn’t have a varsity team? The club is basically the varsity then because you guys are at the highest level, even if it is club. I wrestle club for the university of Washington. I think one of the toughest challenges is when a professor or another person confronts you saying,”oh soccer or wrestling is a club? It’s not d1?” The cool thing about wrestling at my university is that we get to wrestle against other NCAA d1-3, juco, naia. Of course club sports don’t get that much respect. But if you play club at a university where the sport highest level is club I mean take it you are the star. I rather be a starter at a not so good or well known program vs being on a bench at a very good program. If ur on the bench at a good program ur basically a club athlete anyways. Hope you guys can understand where I’m coming from
Anthony Tran I understand it perfectly. That’s such an accurate description of club sports. We do the same at South Dakota State. Often people don’t realize that club athletes were playing at high levels in highschool. Not every school in the country has soccer or wrestling so we settle for club and it’s still very competitive. U explained it very well!
Why did it take me so long to find this channel🤣.Boateng🇬🇭🇺🇸.
ABDULHAIRE RAHAMAN glad you found it I will be back to posting soon ✊🏾 🇬🇭

If I played throughout my middle school years but didn't play in high school, would a club sport be like a secondary option because I have join a soccer club sport in my community college.
I have a few questions for some research I'm doing!
-When are try outs and when does a player hear back?
-When does practice start? (before the semester begins?)
-Are their 3 captains or can it just be one?
-I'm not too familiar with D1 and the fall tournaments but are the games played earlier in the season an indicator if you'll make it to those tournaments?
We held tryouts the first week of school and emailed players back within a week. Practice starts the first week of school and we practiced 3 days a week. We had only 2 captains. There is a regular season when we play 10 league games and in our league the top 2 teams get an automatic bid into the regional tournament which is held the week after the season starts.
I really wanted to play soccer in my high school years but my parents never let me because apparently I wasn't good enough.
where can u play if u dont get into the club?
Intramurals
I play d3 soccer at a top d3 school, do you think it will be a step down or will it be equivalent
It depends on a few things. Are you getting playing time currently? Do you like your school? And how serious is the club team of the school you want to transfer to. Most club teams have talent equivalent to d3 and some d2 schools but some clubs also take it serious but you can miss a practice here and there. Depends on what you are looking for.
Yo if u tryout and didnt make the team can u still join the practices so that your next tryout u will have a higher chance of making the team??
Hiphiphooray Event organizer no you won’t be able to. It mainly depends on the school you go to. If the club is less serious then yes you can but most clubs won’t allow players that aren’t on the team to practice because it’s not beneficial to have players not on the team practice. I would check with your school team.
I’m a senior in high school, (this might be sad to say, but whatever.) I’ve never made a team, I was close many times and I see myself improving, but I want to know if people who love the sport or who want to be pro is it possible if you can have a chance through club in college?
No
Have y’all ever played against the club university of South Carolina soccer team? I’m trying out in January this year.
Nope, I went to school in South Dakota and we just played neighboring states.
I’m sry I’m late but is it possible to still make the pros from club sports
Israel Lett yes it’s possible although I would recommend playing college soccer that is more serious than club because it will put you a step ahead of others!
Would you recommend emailing the coaches before tryouts or is that not necessary?
It’s not necessary but it helps because then they know who you are and they know you will be serious.
I just have a question. Can you go pro from club soccer or do you have to play in the varsity team?
The way I look at it, it’s a stepping stone you can use to get to pro. I played and now I’m playing 4th division US soccer! Club helped me stay fit but varsity will help you the most with exposure. I’m assuming you mean college varsity?
@@emanboatengjr how did you get to play in the 4th division in the US soccer like what were the steps you took to get there other than training and being good ? Like did you record yourself playing games and other thing?
@@alextellezrosales4868 I attended tryouts for a team 4 hours away from where I lived. Stayed in a hotel and trained hard prior to trying out. Luckily I made the team and I’m playing NPSL. I would say look out tryouts for semi pro teams near you and train hard leading up to it.
I’ve played at premier level for a long time but still kinda nervous for making the team, are tryouts that competitive?
Perrier Bois it definitely depends on the school d1 schools are usually more serious and tryouts are competitive a lot of the players played varsity in highschool and academy like myself and u. What school are u going to attend?
Eman Boateng SDSU
Perrier Bois good to hear #gojacks follow the Instagram page and Facebook for more details the insta is @sdsumensclubsoccer
For college club teams, is everything (uniforms, trips, hotels on trips, team gear, traveling, etc.) paid out of your own pocket or is it funded by the college or something?
You pay “dues” at the start of the season and those dues will cover everything 👊🏾
What's the name of the club soccer competition?
what kind of drills do you do in your training?
Scrimmages, fitness, and technical work
Is there a club basketball?
Python at some bigger schools yes but our school didn’t have a club basketball team.
Can I ask a few questions?
How long do you play club for?
If you play one sport in fall can you play a different sport in winter?
I really like playing sports and I want to keep playing in college.
Hi , season will start the first week of school and ends by November! You can play as many club sports as you would like. You can play a sport in fall and one it winter if you want! I hope I answered your questions.
Eman Boateng thank you for answering 😊
Bro how was your recruiting process from Highschool cause I’ve been emailing coaches with my highlight video and I just get a few. I don’t have good grades too and I’m going to be a senior. What should I do
Fresh Prince I created an NCSA recruiting account where I received 15+ offers with a highlight video. I would try that.
