The underground roller coaster

Here is a short collection of video I got last year of Jerith and I pushing each other around in this ore car. This ore car took us hours to find as it was hidden way up in a stope. It sure was worth the effort, this car was fully intact and rolled pretty easily, the rail near the ore pass is curved and it was kind of awkward getting past it.
Anyway! Hope you enjoy this little short video, maybe I’ll do more of these.

Cool video young men. I haven't seen that one before. Nice find. I am amazed at how many mines there are. I presume you live in Vegas, i am near Riverside. I grew up exploring the mines around Calico. I been in Silver King many times, that sits under the Calico Mountain, you see from the 15 fwy. I never got to the lower level where all the ore cars are located, that is the main adit, only way down would have been to rope. No cars or equipment above that, but the mine is huge and fun to see. i never did see any cars or equipment around Calico, it was all removed and used somewhere else. i started in 1975.

I still haven’t been to Calico yet.. I’ve had friends out there exploring, looks like a great spot! This ore car is under ownership now in Tecopa. Are you on any social media or just RUclips?
