It's just bcuz tamilians have better movies and better actors. Tamilans did apprieacted bahubali bcuz that film was better than tamil movies. Please make a Producer round table. This interview gives a new perspective about cinema.
India has a population of almost 145 crores. If we start supporting each, if all the industries start supporting each other, then the big event films starring big actors from across Indian film industry can make films gross 1500-2000 even 2500 just in India alone.
But for that Indian cinema industry needs to be accepting and supporting and be ready to be collaborative with each other. Without any fear or shyness. That’s what I feel. 😊

Not only Gnanavel - every Tamil hero , director and producer associated with Telugu industry and people will always appreciate their culture and genuine love they give to people from other states which sadly is the opposite in TN .
They insult Telugu people by calling them Goltis ( whatever that means) . Infact 30 % of revenue for Tamil movies comes from Telugu states alone . Whereas TN gives peanut business to their films . Even then Telugu people continue to patronise Tamil films from over 5 decades …
