Gettysburg’s “General Longstreet” Interview- AG Classic Rewind

Step back in time with us as we revisit The Tom Berenger Interview. Tom, as you may know, played "Longstreet" in the movie Gettysburg. He's also been in a host of other great films such as The Big Chill, Platoon, Major League and Rough Riders. Bo Brinkman helped me book Tom and so I let him sit in with me. It was fun to listen to them reminisce about their time together in 1992 while they filmed Gettysburg here in Gettysburg. I hope you enjoy this one.

As A descendant of Longstreet. Tom was perfect for this role and brought him to life. General Longstreet was my great x5 grandfather.

Sorry for being a fact-checking nerd, but the only "evidence" that Longstreet was Grant's best man is a letter written decades later by Sally Picket, a proven very dubious source. 🤔

For sure if my cousin was watching this he would say hey I know that guy and what I mean by that is my cousin Greg Deaner was in the movie Gettysburg with Tom berenger and he was in the scene where Longstreet and Lee are discussing Pickett’s charge and my cousin was an extra in the movie.
