The opening with Dean Jagger is worth the price of admission.

Yes it truly is. And then seeing all those beautiful B-17s coming in to land. This movie was well made in all aspects.

One on the best, if not the best, "war" films every made. It centres on the emotions of the men involved in war. Nothing glad or happy about it, just depression, despair, hopelessness, but a will to try an survive the odds. I watch it every year.

The opening is fantastic, also it shows what a REAL WAR can do to people, its a great classic and yes its based on fact, there was a real bomber group was suffering, which makes this movie greater and timeless

I have seen TOCH countless times I can almost say all the dialogue word for word. And yet it always moves me everytime I see it.

That's because this is when actors and directors were fantastic at their jobs...and that combination is the stuff of great movies. I go to sleep with this movie every night.

Definitely a movie that still holds the high standards. Even “Memphis Belle” wasn’t this close.

Saw it first in 1966. quite a striking film. Dad flew rcaf bombers, so he could relate. Apparently, the FBI uses this film when training, or so I have heard. Thanks.

Some of my fellow 'Americans' were quite rude while we were there and displaced farms and sometimes villages to emplace these airbases. Hope you're over it.

1:19:00 My mom saw that formation fly over her parents farm as a Teenager in Altweg, Germany, during the war. Her family did a lot of subterfuge against the Nazis and Gestapo throughout Hitler's reign too. 👍👍💖🌟🤠
