Stevie White is the Michael Carrick of the podcast world, an absolutely essential part of the system yet still, astoundingly, overlooked by the majority of fans. It’s criminal but I hope one day he gets his due, as Happy hour wouldn’t be the same without him.

I think that's the plan, he said it at the end: "this is 'A Pint With [X]" so he's started the series with a Xmas special. Nice idea, conversation flowed well and having it as timed to how long before Robbie's drunk his is a good amount of time (especially as he's more likely to take a glug after asking his guest a question, whereas the guest might do more talking than drinking).
If Stevie and Robbie were sat in my local it would be the best Christmas gift
I have ADHD so I often find it hard to down tools and watch a video with no distractions, especially one that's 37 minutes long. But somehow, with Robbie Knox videos, I manage to do it every time without fail. I think you're my ADHD cure. Weird eh? Love the vids mate 🤙

What Stevie is talking about at 28:00 is the same for me is social anxiety you convince yourself everyone is looking at you and judging what you do. Can get very bad if you overthink you end up avoiding doing normal things
I used to not be able to get on crowded buses, got so bad at one point I waited for an hour in the rain for a bus to finally turn up that wasn't packed
I used to get it a bit when I was younger. Part of getting older I think is realising that nobody cares.

I listen to your podcast every weekend when I work on my AirPods because I’m in college and though I like the podcast, I will never remember an episode of it
I spend xmas day alone most years now. By choice. I find it overwhelming. Hatd time of year for some!
Grew up in Lowestoft and during that time kind-of looked down on Yarmouth, thinking we were the classier summer tourist attraction, but grew up to realise that was a shite opinion and Yarmouth easily pisses all over Lowie.
Love the Murderers for the amount of nooks & crannies that place has and the decent selection of proper beers & ales - oh and it has a decent jukebox. It always used to attract your footy casual types though on a matchday, so I'm not surprised about Stevie's England experience.
Probably loads more I was gonna comment on but I've forgotten by the time I finished it, so I'll leave it there.

Do my roasts exactly the same as that Robbie but leave them to stand for ten minutes after draining. Find that the spuds release some surface moisture and crisp even nicer. Also how do you shake the potato's, I do them in a colander with a plate for a lid, gives them the perfect fluffy surface.
Nice. I’ll try letting them rest. I put them back in the pan with the lid on.

We don't go in for big frothy/creamy heads on our cask ales in Norfolk/Norwich. That's more of a northern obsession, I believe. You get more beer in your pint our way and less mess in Robbie's moustache.
