@@horrificpleasantry9474 Oh that's interesting. I hadn't thought of it that way. My issue is that Doug, in the video and elsewhere uses examples of a wife "testing" her husband (even if only subconsciously) and if he doesn't "stand up" to the task, she will happy to have won but disappointed at the same time. I know what asserting oneself looks like and I've definitely seen some men out there who carry themselves like whipped dogs when their wives are present, I was just clarifying that asserting oneself as a man isn't some sort of exercise in "two eyes for one eye," if that makes any sense at all.
I have multiple questions that I desire to have unraveled. First, you make almost no case for men who would be considered to be more "emotional" than most others. Second, in your eighth video you mention that you shouldn't tell the girl you are taking out anything big about your personal life. I thoroughly disagree with this point. I am not going to take up this wonderful young woman's valuable time and not let her know what she is getting herself into with me. Now, I am not saying that I don't have a lot to offer, I do, but I believe with all my heart that a woman deserves to know what kind of lifestyle I plan on leading her in for the rest of our existence sooner rather than later. What happens if we go on all these dates and I have told her extremely little about myself and I have made a good impression on her, as you said by my following your advice, when she asks me where I see myself in ten years and I say at a pulpit somewhere in Japan? She had no intentions of ever leaving the U.S and now all of a sudden we have a major issue at hand. We went on all these dates thinking we might work out only to find that our plans for the future are drastically different to the point that we can no longer be together? Now we are both left with a sad reality and heartbreak that could have been avoided on day one if I had only shared the path of life I planed on leading this entire time.
First time watching this channel, had to watch twice to realize he was talking to married men in the church. Expected a few verses from the Bible to support this edifying advice. I was wrong, just like the time I thought I married a decent Christian woman. Salt please, got a plate of bitterness here! Live for pleasure, laugh at others misfortunes, and love yourself. On the contrary. Paul's view of not getting married seems more peaceful, but then my argument for masterbation would have made me blind. Guess I was the idiot for believing that old saying.
Now we are both left with a sad reality and heartbreak that could have been avoided on day one if I had only shared the path of life I planed on leading this entire time.

learned a new word today 'innervating'. How about the topic "men, don't let a woman make you gay" Stop doing gay self-innervating acts bcs of women.
Realized when I said "you fool" I bit off more than I could handle. Life seems to be dangerous, should I not worry about tomorrow? Jesus has the keys and he is the one we should seek. I didn't hear much about him in the video.
Your comment is almost impossible to discern, except that it is negative. What is your point?
I think what Doug has to say is based on the Bible. If you're not sure, read the Bible.
@@horrificpleasantry9474 what was the negative part, and how may I help discern my comment. I do question my own sense of pride in it... Like why comment to what seems to be something God has chosen to do before I made this comment. At the end of this the hope I have is in Jesus Christ.
@@robertfishter2862 thank you for the suggestion.
Romans ch 1:26 God hands them over to shameful lust. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.
The verse prior to this tells us why!
If you take this video as just this video you may not be getting sufficient nourishment on marriage and how Jesus and the Church aren't too different from a man and a woman in a relationship or marriage if you will. And now for that verse... Romans ch 1:25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever praised. Amen.
Genesis ch 1 we find out about the Creator right off the rip and John ch 1 will bring you to an understanding of why Jesus is so important. God's amazing plan unfolding before mankind's eyes.
And the woman is the weaker vessel!!!!
🤖???
Dear Doug, God made man first and put man over woman. Please read Genesis and First Corinthians. Boomer half-way christian feminism by trying to neutralize God's order rather than to affirm and follow it is to give way to complete feminism and the devil.
Doug's definition of a lesbian seems to be any woman who stands up for themselves!
The joke in the title is referring to a woman being in a relationship with an effeminate man
I will NEVER be anyones girlfriend and I’m OFFENDED that you would suggest such a thing to your audience.
But I guess most people who listen to you are used to hearing you put them down. Lord have mercy.
They are used to it. I can't with these people
@@chrispfeifer7628 are you confirming my assessment that the intended audience of a statement like that is intelligently conditioned to comply with guilt trips?
Then you agree that this must stop. We cannot create a worse problem while trying to solve a problem. Iniquitous decrees.
This ain't it, chief

@Caleb P interesting.... Like a woman... 🤔 Intriguing angle of attack
"But Doug, the bible says 'neither male nor female'!! So doesn't that mean that we shouldn't acknowledge secks differences!?"
Of course not! Yet when it comes to rayce.... "nEiThEr Dj0o NoR gReEk" means we have to pretend rayce doesn't have any political or cultural significance.
Key phrase is "in Christ."
In other contexts, such as marriage, the most important identifiers are male and female.
Is there some utility in calling my brother the Hispanic spouse, or his wife the black spouse (or whatever)?
It ain't blind chance. Disagree w you on evolution. Everything else you are right about.
The experts who believe in it and defined the field assert that it’s blind chance.
Wow. Another title showing the rather salacious cast of DW's mind. Seriously, what is the obsession with the constant sexual imagery? How many men in your audience upon seeing this title immediately "go there" in their thoughts? Go ahead, I know you're going to delete this post too.
This is a pretty weak argument. I mean, you’re the one commenting by ‘going there,’ and most of the viewers who liked the content did not…
@@cosmictreason2242 It's not an argument. It's an observation. DW is being deliberately provocative with this title. I'm sure many of his fans chortled with approving delight when they saw it. Does he ever consider Philippians 4:8?
@ChickenHeart he’s deliberately getting people’s attention with the title so they’ll click? The horror. It stands out because the thought of making your wife a lesbian is strange and obviously counterproductive, so one wonders what they could possibly do to accomplish that. And then he tells them. Truth in advertising
@@chickenheart896 Hell yeah it's deliberately provocative!

@@cosmictreason2242 O.K. I'm going to try this again. It seems they deleted my reply to you. A Christian husband is not going to turn his wife into a lesbian because he is not "manly" enough. It's absurd. With all this dire advice, Doug's "nephew" must be a nervous wreck. I would be very surprised if "he" EVER got married.
definitely the left side.
I'm sorry pastor, but this was awful. It was painful to listen to you read your script. Talk to us with some personal passion. Some of your arguments/reasons were thoughtless church drivel. I'm sure you can do better.
Don't be surprised if they delete your post or shadow-ban you. Happens all the time to those who don't toe the party line that Pastor Doug is the last word in theology and Biblical manhood.
