Haha I was worried cause I don’t feel like I made a recipe I just quickly dialed in a few things 😂 but hey I’m glad they looked good and yes the pro mist 100% kills contrast. Some of the things I was changing were to mimic the effects of something like black satin. So in essence you doubled the filter. Nice work tho 🙌🏻
I assumed you dialled some stuff in quickly, but it worked out! I thought it was fun to test it in a few different scenarios. It makes sense that the ProMist + settings killed the contrast. I should try shooting without the filter, it lives on the camera, so I forgot about it. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! I appreciate you! 🙌🏼
I really enjoy using Eddys recipe, especially in direct sunlight and mid day. Matti responded to the video and made an interesting point that he tried to lower the contrast in his setting to give the effect of a promist filter, and I added a promist on top of that, which likely greatly reduced the contrast

I love how some of these turned out!! So fun to capture.
I think so too! Very fun test
Good to see the comparison. To my eye, the recipe worked better with the soft evening light in California.
I would agree. I don’t think direct sunlight on bright days was the most flattering for this specific recipe
Nice work, Davey!
Thanks for watching pal!
Eddies recipe was better , imho. As you said there was a lack of contrast / blacks on your Jpegs

Great shots man. Yeah I’m with you, the cooler-coloured film rolls don’t usually draw me as much. Definitely prefer Kodak to fuji for that reason.
Thanks! Was a fun video to make that encouraged me to get out and hold the camera
Underrated!
Thanks for watching!
