In Japanese folklore, the tanuki-like yokai Danzaburou-danuki often sold leaves disguised as gold. In Animal Crossing, Tom Nook is a tanuki, and everything turns into a leaf when it enters your pocket.

I love how zones ankha has become way more iconic than the actual character ever did. A testament to their artistic talent, I guess.
Makes sense. Their animations have always tried to be as faithful to the sauce material as possible (in appearance, that is), so they would do a good job of modelling aknha as representation of her character without the limitations of the games art style.
To be fair, Ankha was already pretty iconic when it comes to AC characters

This team had some really solid communication _and_ reading into each other's slides. Nothing but great animations in this episode.
On the topic of 'flipping the canvas': Being a traditional artist, I used to like turning my paper around and view it from the back. I think it helped me a lot and fixed the issue where I had drawings that 'leaned'.
my art teacher used to keep a mirror in her bag by her desk that she could clamp onto her canvases when she did her initial drawings, and she had all of us keep one for smaller pencil drawings

Gartic pros create an RPG in gartic phone. Prompts are stuff like "boss" "potions" "lowlevelenemy" "magical weapon"
They are sort of doing that with their Pokémon project but a deliberate generic RPG is pretty cool as well.
The animations this round were absolutely superb. Ross and the crew have really improved their ability to work together since they started and it really shows in this video.
potential topic for the next one: Inscryption
Inscryption has a lot of unique characters and scenes that would make for good variety and a good stream.
The only problem I can see with it is the fact that there would probably be a lot of spoilers for the game, therefore you may want to wait a bit till everyone that wanted to play the game has.
I did some Inscryption animations in Gartic Phone with a few friends and it was a blast! Highly recommend.
Dude, the Tom Nook money animation is *so* good. The money *and* the fingers turned out so well it’s amazing.
I'd love to see y'all try to make perfectly looping animation by keeping what the first frame looked like in the notes, so that those who animate the last few frames have reset the scene.

My favourite thing in Gartic Phone is when the first frame comes up and someones says "Oh that's what it was" because you know it went though some wild changes

im gonna be honest that the entire drawing and stuff part of this used to be what really interested me, i feel like it's a shame that it skips parts of it and speeds up some of the footage, but i think for most youtube viewers they're in it more for the end result, so the editing there makes sense at least\
I think it's also because he wants at least some of it to be twitch exclusive, but I'm just speculating.

He talked about this in the stream, actually. And a Melody & T de Lioncourt above are both sorta right. Basically, most viewers skip the drawing to see the results. And when a lot of people skip a large chunk of a video, the algorithm buries the video faster and doesn't recommend it. So he has to cut it out or else RUclips dumps the video because viewers skip that part.
A shame, really. The art is fun! But I'll admit on a tired day I've skipped it before too, so I get it.

Flipping the Canvas is so helpful, sometimes I’ll do it multiple times and other times I’ll do the full anatomical sketch, flip once and then fix it with editing
To be fair, theres almost a thousand animal villager not counting the clerks and event animals so, it is hard to remember them all

An random idea/gamemode for Gartic. You can also draw characters and objects via notes, and use the normal drawings at the same time, and they're interacting with each other to create a fun animation. So when the animation plays back, the people in pink are like ghosts and cant be seen. You also don't have to try as hard for the pink characters.

Talked to her everyday...heck my dumb ass even sent love letters with gifts (i was a teen) and then when she wore the dress design I had specifically made for her, I was sold forever. I havent seen her in 10 years. I want to find her again. Cherry the dog is 2nd. She;s just got a good vibe.
