List of the 12 things the rich people do (that poor people don't do:) 1. Spend money before paying themselves. 2. Wake up late. 3. Watching TV/gaming. 4. Don't invest in themselves. 5. Don't take responsibility for their failures. 6. Have no money saved. 7. Taking loans to buy things. 8. Don't have a mentor. 9. Don't rely on one source of income. 10. Dont have a vision or purpose. 11. Only sees short term rewards and instant gratification. 12. Not concerned with their health.
This is just a hit job on poor people! Yes there are some poor people who are lazy but there are also some awful undeserving rich people. I'll break it down . 1) Poor people don't go out to by brand new shoes with the little money they have , they will go buy food , electricity and try and pay for their living expenses before luxuries. So that 10 percent you advise to invest just isnt possible unless they want to give up food and other necessities. 2) There are one hundred percent rich people who have been served their mansion and life on a silver spoon. Poor people have to get up earlier than almost anyone else to work their hard job . Rich people have easier hours and I wouldn't say that most work on weekends, have you heard of rich people playing golf alot ... 3) Rich people watch TV , fox and friends is one of Donald trump's favourite shows , good for you that you don't have a TV but you probably still binge RUclips. 4) Poor people are not idiots that won't read a book again after education, they would love to go to university and study to get a better job but they can't afford it . Steve Jobs dropped out of university to start up a company and learn on the job and starting from the bottom means that they learn so they can get to the top not that they already know everything and could do the job at the top. 5) This point just hurts . Alot of poor started life I'm a bad situation (city , family ...) But what about black segregation , they would never have been able to get a good job in the 60s , you should say that they are to blame for their skin colour. 6) 90 percent of Americans don't have more than 1000 dollars of savings is because the 1 percent has most of the money and 90 percent have bills to pay that stops them from saving . And if you watched "The big short" you would know that some of the people who shorted the market found out about it by chance and not because they were genius's. 7) Taking a loan to pay for things isn't always bad and can be the opposite . Some people need a loan to start a new business to make more money and this can be a "want" as they "want" to get out of their job, it's called opportunity cost. 8) The poor would love to hire mentors but they are poor so they can't , and now days most of the information is on the internet written by professionals for free 9) Poor people have 2 jobs alot of the time , and there probably a whole lot of poor people that have great business ideas but can't start them because you guessed it they're... poor 10) Poor people know what kinda job they would like and they will put all the work into it to get their but they don't have the step ladder of money. And Donald trump drifts around so many businesses ideas and didn't even want to be president a while ago and I still don't think he has a clue what he wants to be but he's still rich 11) There are plenty of poor people looking for a different life and will sacrifice alot to get there and gambling is mainly for the rich ( how many homeless people do you see at the roulette table) . I think it's just shameful to say that the poor are unmotivated and will give up after 2 months , it's not based on fact . 12) Some people have to eat junk food because it's cheaper than healthy food ( whole food supermarket is too expensive for some people ) and Forbes has a list of rich and fat people. 13) A point I'll add what rich people don't do is pay their staff more , no one need 100k+ salery and the billionaires at the top only got that rich by taking money off someone else's salery to make a bigger profit margin . There is a Japanese airline CEO that pays him self less than the pilots . That is what rich people should be doing . Thankyou simple psychology for taking the time to read this and hope you take this into consideration.
Yes and no w no.1. Rich people have more disposable income which allows them to save without inhibiting the quality of their lives. The poor can't necessarily do this.
While investing/saving is a great idea. if you live below the poverty line it is not realistic to ask them to save if they can't pay rent or afford food.
Yurhomi 24 Stupid comment. Most rich people got there through sacrifices and working hard hence their disposable income. If an immigrant like myself can do it, EVERY single person born in the U.S. can do it.
Yurhomi 24 Quality of life? Does that involve buying the latest gadgets, eating out often, driving new cars, taking expensive vacations and watching lots of TV?
The value of time and waking up early is massive! The successful are the ones that have done work when everyone else is asleep. I also think that the perception of failure is huge! In society, we view failure as a reason to quit. I believe that the successful see failure as an opportunity to grow and develop. More often than not, those that are successful are the ones you have held on the longest and learned the most from their failures.
I can relate to the most of this stuff and I'm still poor. I was poor before improving myself and taking good habits and I will probably be forever poor, btw my family has always been... Even I had lost interest in pursuit money and status, now I'm trying to develop an ascetical lifestyle. I think money isn't, at least for me, important anymore. Shortcut to money: get into the Mafia, always works! (:
I disagree with point 7. Actually, rich people take massive loans, they use other's money to build their own wealth. Taking the car purchase for example, rich people would actually take loans to buy it even if they can buy it outright. Why? Because they can invest the money as long as the rate of return is higher than the cost of the loan. By doing that, they actually buy the car using the cashflow generated by the capital.
Ye Gu I 100% agree! Also if you put cash into the car it’s then paid for in after tax (30-50% depending on your country and tax bracket) earned over past months and years when the dollar had more value. So the 10k car price is automatically 15k. The rich get other people to pay for their toys such as tenants, customers, contracts etc, and pay over a long time; as the value of the dollars in the future ( future value) is reduced due to inflation. Ignore point 7
Ha, a lot of these are true! My dad constantly blames others for his failures rather than himself, he always watches tv rather than doing something progressive, and he makes very poor financial decisions. He doesn’t have enough money to buy food (he always asks me for money) yet he has enough money to spend $500+ on birds, as if he doesn’t have around 50+ already. In addition, he also uses the excuse that he’s always tired because he doesn’t take care of his health and he’s so ignorant that he thinks he can do everything, while not learning from his mistakes. Great video!
I like this video (and I know it was published over six months ago) but I want to point out that these mindsets of rich people and poor people don't necessarily apply to everyone. Some rich people are not self-made and just inherited their wealth, and some poor people are stuck in an endless cycle that is difficult to get out of and are so focused on keeping themselves afloat that they don't have the energy or time to devote to getting out of it. Just wanted to point that out. Great tips!
9. Tell me how a normal person with a normal job can have a second source of income thats high enough to maintain your lifestyle for a few months if you get fired.
HeroEric98 those second sources mainly come from online sources as he stated that he has, but if some one who has worked hard enough and established a business that can run off of other people, like a franchise, then that is how a normal person can have a franchise. I hear amazon is amazing and once I'm done with college that is where my second source will come from.
yes so thats only possible when you're already "rich". thats not really an advice on how to get there but how to stay there. when you're poor its alomst impossible the have several online sources of income
13th habit rich people always feel grateful for everything they have, i didnt saw any rich person crying on their bad situation even they are on their worst pharse, they will always show gratitude and poor people always feel they are the only in this planet who are in bad aituation.
I know rich people that do the opposite of what you say rich people do. They spend money extravagantly and purchase unneeded things, watch tv, play video games, etc
I don’t think this video is really about rich people, but self made people. All of the self made people I know are hyper disciplined, willing and able to work 7 days a week, wake up early, work until dinner, super energetic, almost never indulge TV, video games, fast food, etc.
luck is the combination of knowing your goal and snag any opportunity that comes that align with it even if it looks shitty (eg: low wage job but one that gives you an opportunity to learn) over and over again.
It's crazy to think that the advertising would have you believe that the rich and the wealthy spend tons of money on all of the most expensive products, but the reality is they are rather frugal. It's the principles that get you there.
I'll get $$ rich one day soon, I'm already rich in other departments, ohh yeah I would love a shoutout or even better maybe we can do a video together 😁
Successful people and unsuccessful people might sound more appropriate than rich and poor people because not all successful people are rich and poor people are unsuccessful ;)btw that was a grt video
Honesty this as help me alot. And something just hit me. In Jamaica the average person would normally say life is hard in the US because their working (2 )to (3) jobs. Really what they are doing is having not one but many sources of income. Thanks practicical psychology for making me related to this video
Hey brother.. I would just point out one point for you.. which can be improved. RUclips is ur main job. That is most of your jobs are dependent on RUclips. I think u will get the point.
Abhishek Chavan ohh no, he is making money on other things, like mailing lists, website adds etc. You can say it starts with RUclips but I bet RUclips shuts down tomorrow and Practical Psychology will be just fine
Aliex Fishing TV that's a good point. And to flourish the new practical Physcology. He may need our help afterall. The main medium through which he talks to so many of us will get closed. How about new platform only for Physcology
These are generalities. Don't kid yourself. You're not accomplishing anything personally by playing games. Less than one half of one percent of people who play games make it an income earner.
I can argue that 7. taking loans to buy things, rich people also take loans so that their money spent on cars or houses, can be then invested which would beat the loans interest. Making it a win win.
I live in a poor family and they complain all the time like it's someone else's fault. Yet they won't work hard, they spend all the money they DO get on trivial stuff that you could call junk and then wonder why they're poor. they are the type of people who say stupid platitudes like "money can't buy you happiness" and are miserable all the time because they have no money. the funny thing is if you even insinuate for a second that all their money problems are down to their reckless habits, they flip out and say that you are wrong. Victim mentality is hard to overwrite.
"Poor people get up later" lol. Nurses (uk), Teachers, General construction, janitors. There aren't high performance cars commonly on adverts because there are few who can afford them. Not because rich people don't watch tv. People who earn the average wage in the UK spend huge amounts of their income on even living. It's hard to save if you have a low income. I understand that saving and budgeting is important but there's little argument in being miserable for 20 years just so you can live well for your retirement. Hard for the poor to give out loans. Also hard to PAY for people to help you if you are already poor. The odds of those being helpful AND resulting in an actual pay rise are surely low. Come on.
King Аt Life fair enough and good for you. But is that sustainable advice for let's say 10% the US work force. That's millions who would need to go freelance. That advice is brilliant for a friend. But not as a solution for the overarching problem that wages are too low for most people (And that the education system fails to prepare people for managing money).
I was poor my whole life and could not figure out why. Accepting personal responsibility for the aspects of life I could control and surrenduring where I had no control was what changed everything. I needed help though, not from the government but from God.
David Munoz says rich people don’t watch tv,but makes a video to be watch (like tv) to make money in hopes of gettin rich? Idk just what popped in my head while watching the video
I want to start early and make good habits before my brain fully develops. However, I lack a job to which my family does not support me obtaining and all we have are foods that are definitely not good enough to be considered healthy. What can I do?
Thank you for that fascinating video. Your point on having not only one source of income sounds interesting. Can you give me a deeper idea of how to build this and some examples? The moment I saw that advice I thought it would be a remarkable thing to achieve but immediatlely felt like I would not be able to find another way to earn money.
Generally good advice, but number 1 is for amateurs. I never pay myself first. I cover the expenses, then I use the remainder to pay myself. Just like a poor person. Except I actively keep costs down, and have 3 sources of income now, so I end up saving a lot more than 10%. Some months are more expensive than others, and income can vary as well. But I've been able to average just over 50% towards savings/investments. For 2018 I am aiming for 75%.
Are we including the rich people who inherited their wealth and never really had to work hard to earn it like Paris Hilton or the Koch Brothers or Orange Cheto?
Where can I find mentors? I've wanted to find one for years yet never knew where to look. I need to develop the habit of waking up early and I'm trying to stop tv. It's difficult but it's my responsibility to face. I also look for different ways to make money but I don't really know how to do that thus I fail at it. Everything else on this list I naturally do.
I just went to a convention. A lot of vendors we're selling funko pops. People love to collect these for the perceived value. I spoke to some vendors about buying stocks in funko at $10 or $11 a share and nobody seemed interested. Kinda strange to me. You'd rather own the product as an investment than an actual investment.
The reason there are no lambo or high end car commercials is not because the rich dont watch tv....more money is to be made by appealing to the avg person. Hate when people use that argument.
Suppose you're making little money ever fortnightly and then you have to contribute towards a bill at your Mom's house and then you have other things to buy? What should you do then?
Not everything, for example the loan thing. Especially rich people who have the money take on loans or leases because they don`t want to bind their money into these depreciating assets. They prefer predictable monthly payments while using the money they didn`t spend to invest and make more money which in return pays for the interest rates
You talk about investing moneyu and investments... what exactly do you mean by that? What do you mean by investment? Do xou got some concrete examples?
Because i'm watching Practical Psychology on my screen (TV or tablet makes no difference), even if i watch it with 1.5x speed it is a wasted time - right?
Hey you scrolling through the comments! U watched enough of this type of videos. U know enough to actually do it. To much information will hold you back. Guess what, most of the rich guys didn't take time to watch this Videos. Maybe a few ones, but not in an amount you did. Close RUclips now. You know excactly what to do. Just do it. Again and again.
in some countries people dont get books to read due to poverty in my country people have t-shirt which have printed things on them way more knowledgeable than books.
Ignorance is bliss. People have their opinions and views on rich vs poor. Until one has done their due diligence on their own person, I doubt their lifestyle will change. It’s my opinion that rich nor poor people can be quantified by the amount of money they have or their appeal. It’s a lifestyle! ....Where my nouveau riche people at?!
Well, I always sleep 7 - 8 hours, get up at 6 am and go for a 20 minute run. I eat healthy. Still suck at social stuff and actual studying for university though.... Any advise?
finding people with whom I can work on selfimprovement has proven very difficult for me. Actually the social component is one of my major workstations. Bonding with people is nothing I am particularily good at but I definitely will try to apply the advice. Thx, for the answer.
could a rich person give me some advice? lol. i work a regular 9-5 job, but i would love to have multiple sources of income. how can i get another way to make money without decreasing my hours at my regular job?
Yea, having that goal or purpose has always been my problem. I don't have anything in my life that I want dearly. I don't have a goal or vision. That might be an interesting video topic. How do you find your goal or drive?
He generated instant hate when he said TV IS USELESS. I love your videos generally, but that's a nuisance what that guy said. The reason why Lambo ads are never on TV is because they don't need ads. They are huge brand in themselves. -1
Definetely not going to check out this ”Primed” guy..
Primed I feel you dog
Hah nice one but I am already subbed😁
Not to check out your channel was the only smart advice you gave to us ...
I did definitely not subscribe
Primed I definitely didn't subscribe just now ;)
Now i can be poor but not feel like poor. Thanks dude!!

Wow nice one dud
Ok a whole year late but THANK You for saying this. Absolutely agree
Having a focused mind is of great importance, as with focus you can apply what you know to practical situations, which make you more successful.
Indeed.

They don’t play video games? Then apparently I’m never gonna be rich 😂
Tyler Schwartz Elon Musk plays video games
Heck Micheal Jackson did too.
but they rich smh
they didnt played video games in their beginnings
Pewdipie plays game and is the king of youtube earns six figures
Even top richest people play games of somekind

U said they dont play games....
Hmm...."remembers pewdiepie and other big youtubers who play games and earn money"
You can almost make money doing anything online, but *most* rich people don't play games, and if they do, it's probably their business :)
source ?
Elon Musk plays overwatch when he has time to play. He doesn't play overwatch everyday and wouldn't be as successful as he is today if he did.

There are actually ads of rich cars :D but I got your point
Rich People don't sell Bitcoin when it is just worth 1 dollar
Awesome, informative! Thank you and Namaste! I have finally found a useful youtube channel!
Definitely one of your best videos!
Well done thx. Glad I’m doing most of those. 👍🏼
"Poor people get up later" lol. Nurses (uk), Teachers, General construction, janitors.

People who earn the average wage in the UK spend huge amounts of their income on even living. It's hard to save if you have a low income. I understand that saving and budgeting is important but there's little argument in being miserable for 20 years just so you can live well for your retirement.

Exactly. This video is so stupid, the creators clearly know nothing about the real world.
I was poor my whole life and could not figure out why. Accepting personal responsibility for the aspects of life I could control and surrenduring where I had no control was what changed everything. I needed help though, not from the government but from God.
Really motivational, thanks for the tips! Especially about multiple incomes. I'm gonna get on that right away
isn't this the most hypocritical thing on the internet...
N800 Thank you! So far away from reality.
N800 can you explain please. Also not trying to seek an argument just what you mean.
David Munoz poor people make videos on how to be rich.
David Munoz says rich people don’t watch tv,but makes a video to be watch (like tv) to make money in hopes of gettin rich? Idk just what popped in my head while watching the video
N800 I’d say using a 10 minute educational RUclips video is not equivalent to watching The Big Bang Theory.
The explanation is superb, its a self discipline,
And its compound effect on ojr life atleast it will take 6 to 8 months for result
Hey practical psychology, magical video as always.

EDIT: oh, you too primed, good job

Watching this 5am in the morning after 8 hours Off sleep. Well, better than 5am before 5 hours of sleep :D
Thanks for drawing the Eurofighter Typhoon :-)
Most rich just inherit their wealth or come from wealthy families, not because they work harder
I'm stuck at number 10 so much from so many years.
I just can't find it !! But i really want to
i hate it when people say "money dosent buy happieness"
Hmmm ... Interesting . I will change something in my life
I want to start early and make good habits before my brain fully develops. However, I lack a job to which my family does not support me obtaining and all we have are foods that are definitely not good enough to be considered healthy. What can I do?
Thank you thank you for making this!!
This video is a perfect example of the 'survivorship-bias'
Some of these are highly inaccurate.
Jaskee Hickman especially number 7. So BS, buying in full equals losing investment money
As a poor person I will say #1 is wrong for me
I love The Money Advise Videos!!!! Keep Making More Please!!!!!
that reverse psychology worked let me not lie
Very good video , more people should take this advice.
Keep doing your video's Theodore they help me out tremendously!!!!!
9 shouldn't be "rely on one single source of income" instead of " *DON'T* rely on one single source of income"?
Anyway, great vid! Thanks!
Health is wealth!
This is amazing!
Super good advice
Not everything, for example the loan thing. Especially rich people who have the money take on loans or leases because they don`t want to bind their money into these depreciating assets. They prefer predictable monthly payments while using the money they didn`t spend to invest and make more money which in return pays for the interest rates
You talk about investing moneyu and investments... what exactly do you mean by that? What do you mean by investment? Do xou got some concrete examples?
Because i'm watching Practical Psychology on my screen (TV or tablet makes no difference), even if i watch it with 1.5x speed it is a wasted time - right?
*Rich people don't waste time* commenting on Social Media a lot.
You mentioned online courses on body language, psychology etc.
What websites would you recommend?
excellent video and it helps me a lot
Thanks. Very good video.
Ninja is crazy rich and he plays video games
Ignorance is bliss. People have their opinions and views on rich vs poor. Until one has done their due diligence on their own person, I doubt their lifestyle will change. It’s my opinion that rich nor poor people can be quantified by the amount of money they have or their appeal. It’s a lifestyle! ....Where my nouveau riche people at?!
Thank you!
GREAT..VIDEO THANKS
😂😂 last part though 😂😂 now I can't help but check out his videos 😂😅😅
Love your videos!
Well, I always sleep 7 - 8 hours, get up at 6 am and go for a 20 minute run. I eat healthy. Still suck at social stuff and actual studying for university though....
Any advise?
Find someone to run with in the morning, be like a mentor to them, then find someone to mentor you for your university studies
finding people with whom I can work on selfimprovement has proven very difficult for me. Actually the social component is one of my major workstations. Bonding with people is nothing I am particularily good at but I definitely will try to apply the advice.
Thx, for the answer.
Damn, this guy's reverse psychology really works..
There one thing he didn’t mention is u need to move ur emotions from thinking they are two different thing when u did u can know what u want for real
Great advice!
please, make videos more short, thank you!
Where is the summary?
could a rich person give me some advice? lol. i work a regular 9-5 job, but i would love to have multiple sources of income. how can i get another way to make money without decreasing my hours at my regular job?
Elon Musk plays video games, he loves Overwatch and recommends people should play it...
One of my best investment is watching these kind of videos.
love your videos keep it up ☺
Yea, having that goal or purpose has always been my problem. I don't have anything in my life that I want dearly. I don't have a goal or vision. That might be an interesting video topic. How do you find your goal or drive?
If you wake up one hour earlier than everyone else, you will be 1 hour more tired than everyone else, the whole day.
the early bird catches the worm
but
the second mouse gets the cheese :D
You said the super smart people from the movie big short "shorted the market". What does that mean?
Fantastic video..
Why have u stopped using the opening music of your videos??
This is so classist oml
He generated instant hate when he said TV IS USELESS. I love your videos generally, but that's a nuisance what that guy said. The reason why Lambo ads are never on TV is because they don't need ads. They are huge brand in themselves. -1
