Number 7 was a revelation for me. My wife and I wake up around 6a and spend a minute or two grumbling about being stressed out or tired. Now I'm going to take those few moments every morning to really appreciate her

I DEFINITELY recommend developing strong routines. That helps immensely in any endeavor, and that causes a snowball of success. Once one area of your life gets in sync, others areas do, too, almost automatically. The trick is consistency. Have a buddy of mine I used to work out with. In the beginning, he pushed really hard and did 200 sit ups per day, maxed the bench press every day, etc. He quit after two weeks and has never been back to the gym. That was 1983. I work out lightly but consistently, and while I've never been in great shape, I keep myself in reasonable shape. Another GREAT career/life resource is a piece titled the Hatchet Man's Playbook. When you approach your day with " I have to do or go to work" youve already started your day with a " negative". I start my day with " I want to play ". You call it work , I love and enjoy my job. Its playtime for me. It contains all the attributes of his " being successful" without calling it work. 😊

Yep! Up at 5 a.m. to spend time with God! He gives me all that I need to start the day! Try taking a look at what God has to say about you. Pretty powerful!
Thank you! I hadn't really thought about my time with God being a bonding experience but that is exactly what it is!!! Thank you so much for the reminder!
good video, but one exception: I would not recommend #8 as it is, but change it to "Clean Up at the end of the Day", this gives your mind CLOSURE to your work. This is a Ben Franklin "Clear To Nuetral" scheduling technique to give you a Fresh Start without having to shovel the old crap out of the way.
Absolutely. Its a great feeling to come to a desk in the morning, clean, ready to start a productive day rather than walking in on a mess that still needs cleaning. It does give closure. Its a good feeling.
Hear this on point 9 @practical psychology, so you wake up at 6am to enjoy your cup of coffee in silence and that’s the joy for you. Me as an extrovert i wake up at 6am make coffee but rather enjoy it on your wonderful self improving videos. Cheers!
I have like 8 of these habits. But I've noticed that when something negative happens it almost instantly kills my motivation to do anything for the day. help? :/
Al Radi that's because you lose hope easily. .In your life .you will fail several times and then again succeed. .so you should know. .negativity is a part of your life. .accept it but don't late it kill your motivation. .work on it
You have to understand one thing. Everyone fails, EVERYONE.. so what you are supposed to do when you fail is to acknowledge the fact that everyone fails, shake of that feeling and conitnue with a plan. You can shake of that feeling by either watching a motivational video, talk to someone who is important to you, like friend or family member, that will get back you on the track.
Al Radi yes I also have this problem... Every time when I started NOFAB challenge and I got something distrubt and anger me, I broke my challenge and started making mistakes... Some help pls?
Excellent. I preform the following daily: pray, meditate, self-accupressure, scent (anti-insect), breathing (diaphramic), diet (plant based), laugh, exercise, learn (whatever & science), read a belief system (positive), music (uplifting), fast (after 6 pm), supplement (selective), find beauty (anywhere), sleep, work (as worship), help / teach someone :-) ~ Most concepts from Abdul-Baha of the Baha'i Faith
I am actually finding tip 8 to be reverse for me. In the hours after I wake up, my mental, cognitive and creative ability are at their highest. Therefore, it is the best time for me to do any task that requires me to think; such as studying and writing. The menial tasks that require little to no thought, such as cleaning; I find are best done later in the day when I am tired/unfocused.
I like to spend 10-30 minutes tidying up my house, weeding in the yard, and setting up evening chores like starting a load of laundry. It gets me moving and feeling productive. At the end of the day I do another 10-30 minutes of wiping down counters, washing a few dishes, folding the laundry etc. it helps to mentally stop my work day and focus back on the home. I can’t work OR rest in a cluttered environment!
MUSIC is on my list. At bed time, in the morning, most times in between as background sounds. High frequency music, nature sounds, ocean waters, flutes, yoga peace music, drumming, 432 hz music. Meditation!
Firstly: LOVE your stuff man! In my own experience number 2 definitely helps. I've been doing a small workout of about 5 minutes every day in the morning for the last year or so and have never felt better, definitely recommended for anyone having trouble waking up (90% of the population :'D)
Don't give up, there is always a way out, if you want! You should know, you are not alone! I send you much love an energy! I'm sure you will fight depression down, even if you don't believe it right now.
I am going to be watching your videos as part of my morning routine. When I have seen them all perhaps I will watch them all again. They are positive, practical and most importantly inspirational. Thank you!
B. Chan quite the contrary, a lot of successful people do mimic other people, especially considering most successful people have mentors, or advisors. When you see something thats effective and produces results, do it. As far as everyone being wired different, take what works for you, and discard what isnt useful, as Bruce Lee said.
I dont typically look for videos tp be inspirational, but have found it beneficial. This video was a great simple 10 step way of improving things. Not required to follow all of them, but its like finding a toolbox. When you open it, you dont need to use every tool right away, or ever if its not made for a project you would apply it too. However, looking at the tools that apply to you and having them to be more productive is worth a look in the tool box. I am somewhere between an introvert and extrovert, it varies with the situation. But overall I am more of an extrovert. The Silence tip was something I really liked. I modified it to include music, but as a dj I turned the volume down to allow clear headed thoughts and still have the background music. But I told a couple family members that lean into introvert category much more than myself. They have tried it last 3 days and came back to say, it has made a great improvement on their overall daily outlook. So definitely check out these toolboxes, and find what fits you. Something I learned to do as a person with adult ADHD is write down everything on my mind in a journal or notebook. This helps me fr loosing sleep worrying about forgetting to do something, and them mixing it in the a.m. to create my todo list. Expecially since Microsoft bought wunderlist, and made Microsoft To Do. It's a great digital tool, and connects all my devices to have the synced list. Along with Samsung's Note8, which has the active digitizing stylus, with artistic level stylus features. The Note8 features an ability to make a quick note on the screen when its not activate. So when your not actively using the phone, and its a black screen you can still jot down quick notes. And when you log in, you can place them where they are needed. A reminder, add a contact, search a topic, pick up at store, etc. As technology evolves, it is something I enjoy the functionality to help life productivity, but also realize, that it shouldn't be something you let become more important than your real human face to face interactions. If at dinner with friends put it away, not just on the table. And take a period of time away from your phone, expecially if you have a smartwatch like the Samsung G3 Frontier. You wont miss a vital work correspondence or a emergency call from your kids, but can treat it like a normal watch during your detach from social media time. Statistics have shown higher amounts of time, spent on Facebook have increased levels of depression. As a entrepreneur social media is vital part of business, but taking time to seperate from work, increases productivity.
Practicing positive psychology has shifted my perspective and changed my repeated habits to living a happier life moving towards my bigger picture.. your habits are a wonderful reminder that these contribute to my happiness everyday!! 😍👌🏼
the tip about the difference between positive and negative affirmations just changed my life. I was using negative affirmations that i though were positive to try and overcome habitual thoughts and patterns of behavior and that just made all the difference. thank you
The bibble says, all thingswork together for good to them that loes the lord. even bad things are for your good. after you go through it with faith it will make you a better person
Eric Moore first , if Islam teaches as how to kill defiantly you will not be alive 🤔 .. second , about the marriage, people in the past used to marry young girls not only prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) did that .. please read more about Islam and the history, and do not be ignorant . Also , try not to use those abusive words at least try to respect others Faith..😊
Mona Alasow we all have to be wary in dealing with religion. Several of our wars are based on religion. Too bad terrorism now is indeed based on fanatical Islamic beliefs.
Eric Moore Well, that's weird?... Growing up, my parents didn't teach me how to kill people. And they're very very religious. But they did teach me to be nice and respectful towards others. I guess your parents didn't teach you that.
My morning routine:- 1.wakeup early 2.hydrate 3.pray 4.tea 5.to do list 6.exercise 7.read 8.shower 9.breakfast 10.motivational video 11.get ready 12.go to college
Thanks for the video, its clear that you put a lot of work into it. I just wanted to say that personally I don't agree with you (at 2.27) "This gives you an hour to beat them"...I find it more effective to not make it about others at all. I myself find that by referring to others, it makes it more likely for anxiety to creep in..I really like the gratitude part, really excellent! :)
Indeed a great video. I‘d like to point out that being successful does not necessarily mean „doing business and making a lot of money“. Even „gratefulness“ alone is a huge success. Let alone „silence“. Success is „doing what you love and what actually is your vocation.“ Success = staying true to oneself. 🙏🏻
Waking up early discredited the video a bit for me. By waking up at five instead of six you don't have an extra hour, as you still have to get the same amount of sleep in order to function at the same level. By default you'll lose the hour in the evening. It balances. However, waking up early can make you feel like you have more time, leading to more productivity. Once you've realised there isn't actualised productivity... well, you might as well be going to sleep at five.
I've watched this video once, two weeks ago, and I didn't take action. Now it's time to implement these ideas into my life. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work!
Unfortunately, the single worst habit of us people who are failures is that we sit around watching RUclips videos all day long. But if we were not failures watching videos, the people who make these videos would not be successful. So, at least in one sense, we failures make it possible for others to be a success.
Reminds me of that quote that's like "Make your own success, don't be another step for someone else to walk on towards their success" But at the same time this channel is pretty great and I feel more motivated for now even if it might only last for an hour or so, so maybe instead support those who deserve it but don't forget about your own success also etc
I work a 2nd shift job so... Everything {time-wise} is shifted by 8 hours for me... The weekends can be a pain when planing to get together with "normal" people....
To Do List must be made a night before. And before you get up, you review in your mind the daily schedule. Be always one or two steps ahead. Clean up from the night before in the morning? No. It has to be done before you go to bed. Also, don't make a mess that require cleaning up. Neat and tidy, organized, minimal are successful people's secret, too.
Thank you for this video. I am excited to add some of these to my morning routine. My 1yr old daughter and two yr old son are my bonding in the morning. I love waking up to their faces giving then hugs and kisses and seeing then smile.
I don't consider myself an introvert at all but I have to say number 9. is probably my favorite thing about getting up early. It's like the rest of the world is still asleep and everything is still so peaceful. I feel like all days I've gotten up early were by far better than the ones where I'd slept in.
Hey man, super helpful. Need to get these to do lists more actionable and timed. Been getting up at 6 myself and my god it helps! Also, may I suggest yoga in the morning, gets the silence your talking on the inside also. Ooooo yeah, and SMILE! Nice positive tone to your voice as well dude! Keep it up.
You sound like Tom Holland.... :) spider man to do list: Wake Up Kick Ass in Highschool with Zendaya by 2:00 pm Kick ass on the streets from 2:15 - 5 am. Repeat MOFOS! I'm spiderman haha!
I was just watching R&M before watching a few of these episodes... i thought the exact same thing. I think it's the way the guy stumbles over words and he he has a constant flow without trying to sound overly smart, you know?
I woke up at 4-5 am, didn't help me find a job, and in the afternoon I was so tired that I had to rest or take a nap. If I wake up very happy and grateful, I usually end the day sad and sorry, or angry. The opposite is also true. I have been doing silence (meditation), affirmations, visualizations, motivation for years, without any result in the real world. I started doing yoga, salute to the sun every morning. After a few weeks I got a bursitis (I was surprised because I have been doing some Indian push ups for years without this happening), and had to stop. Now I only do that when I really feel good. In this light I believe that the most important factors to succeed, are your genetic metabolism (your energy level) and your relationships (the social circles you were born in, or those you can enter, mostly through your wealth or good looks). Luck and hard work come only second in this game.
no 8 , i think its best to clean up before the day of work had finished. Its great to wake up to see your work area neat and tidy, ready to get to work!
Be grateful that were able to write this comment with no fingers somehow, you're amazing I wouldn't be able to do that. If it was through some voice printing, be happy that you speak clear English that this device recognized what you were trying to say! If you were joking, be grateful that I/ some ppl care about your well-being. Have a wonderful life random person!
#7 can work with a dog. I'm lucky enough to have a cuddly dog who sleeps with me. I noticed about 6 months ago that I start my day every day giving him a belly rub. You're right, it does release serotonin and it helps me start my day off in a grateful loving way and I've come wildly more successful in my career and life having done this for the past three years. :)
I like that review thing, mate! Keep doing it for the upcoming vdos! I love your highly beneficial vdos! Your channel is one of the best here! I just wanna thank you for that! 😊
No, no, no. :/ Affirmations work differently. And the 8 is really speculative... You should better clean your table at the evening, because you need to spend the morning time by doing really mental difficult work, not with this non difficult stuff.
I find cleaning in the morning lets me disconnect a bit from work and prepares me to dive back in. I'm clearing my space but also clearing my mind. That said, the same habits don't necessarily work for everyone!
FoxCZ YES!! It's important to start your day with a clean home, workspace and clean clothes laid out the night before!! So discouraging to have to clean up yesterday's mess...
This is more like how to work yourself till one day you realize you should have retired in your sixties but "success" is more important. Than one day you secretary walks in your office and finds you dead in your work chair, head down on your desk in your eighties. Instead pace yourself but don't procrastinate, be kind to others and youself. And of course the #1 most important, live and love Christ Jesus. He is the one who sets the standards of what REAL success is in life!!! Jesus bless you!!! 😄
These are good points, but is missing the most important key which is a relationship with God. Without him all these habits are just a self help program.
@ Marcia C. Thank you for your comment - I completely agree with you. There is no better way to start a new day than thinking of the love that God has for us and feeling his presence (God really loves us deeply, all the evil things on this earth are NOT his fault, he only wants us to be happy and following his paths of light, truth and joy)
Nobody needs to take instructions from anybody else as far as what success is supposed to be in the first place, so nobody needs another nonsensical list of arbitrary ideas regardless of how well planned and/or thought out your theory might happen to be, or not be. Instead of Practical Psychology change the name of the channel to Monotonous Living.

8 Clean from the night before
9 Silence
10 Read about what happened the night before
Hello Craig davision
Great bro
Yep! Up at 5 a.m. to spend time with God! He gives me all that I need to start the day! Try taking a look at what God has to say about you. Pretty powerful!
First thing I do when I wake up is pray.
Yes to this
How? I want to connect more with god, but how?
Thank you! I hadn't really thought about my time with God being a bonding experience but that is exactly what it is!!! Thank you so much for the reminder!
@@hi-pi9rb seek Him through prayers and reading of His Word (Bible)
It's good to have that review in the end. Don't remove it. 🙌
Amazing, when you start doing these everyday, you REALLY do see the difference in your life!
Really love the review at the end of the video... Helps a TON👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great! Mine: Breathing (diaphramic), Diet (whole plant food) & Supplement (medically advised), Laugh, Exercise, Learn (whatever / science), Read A Positive Belief System, Music (uplifting), Fast (after 6), Seek Beauty (in all), Sleep, Work (as worship), Help / Teach :-) ~Most concepts by Abdul-Baha, Baha'i Faith
good video, but one exception: I would not recommend #8 as it is, but change it to "Clean Up at the end of the Day", this gives your mind CLOSURE to your work.
But I've noticed that when something negative happens it almost instantly kills my motivation to do anything for the day. help? :/
Al Radi that's because you lose hope easily. .In your life .you will fail several times and then again succeed. .so you should know. .negativity is a part of your life. .accept it but don't late it kill your motivation. .work on it
Thanks man ^_^
Al Radi Negativity fades away. Always. No matter how bad you feel, light will come back. Don't let the moment let confuse you.
Those are really good. One thing I would add is physical exercise--yoga, a workout, etc.
Monique Amado Life Coach & Artist yeah right .
Hi Monique!
i personally add the yoga sequence with the silence he mentionned
I do agree that exercise should be on the list. Yoga kills it!
tip number two. energize yourself. workout/yoga
Meditation!
I hear that, sister! Music is definitely a huge motivator! For anyone interested in scientific evidence youtube "your brain on music"!
YES! I can't stand silence! I need at least SOME background noise (nature, music, podcast, etc) to be able to think clearly.
Yes! I like this, it's really great and every time your brain picks up on the music, it makes you ready for bed or waking up :D
Firstly: LOVE your stuff man!
In my own experience number 2 definitely helps. I've been doing a small workout of about 5 minutes every day in the morning for the last year or so and have never felt better, definitely recommended for anyone having trouble waking up (90% of the population :'D)
Mine is almost like
1. Make a to do list
2. Unwanted anxiety
3. Depression
4. Loss of motivation
5. Go to sleep bc i can't stand myself
SAEQIA that is very sad!
Sad........
Same
Same dude
Don't give up, there is always a way out, if you want! You should know, you are not alone! I send you much love an energy! I'm sure you will fight depression down, even if you don't believe it right now.
I am going to be watching your videos as part of my morning routine. When I have seen them all perhaps I will watch them all again. They are positive, practical and most importantly inspirational. Thank you!
Great Video. Love Your All Videos. Love From India.

One thing successful people do is not mimic other people because everyone is wired differently
"I will create a RUclips by 1 in the afternoon" - wow, coding sure has become incredibly fast and easy!
Hey Practical Psychology, I am a big fan of yours!Your videos are smart, simple and very inspiring!Keep it up, all the best to you!
This is my favorite morning routine video! Thank you so much for sharing this - I'm definitely going to be implementing this into my daily routine :)

Wow...loved that. Definitely getting the book. I love when unexpected nuggets pop up on you tube.
I like the review from the end. Great video !Keep it up bro ! :)
the tip about the difference between positive and negative affirmations just changed my life. I was using negative affirmations that i though were positive to try and overcome habitual thoughts and patterns of behavior and that just made all the difference. thank you
Islam teaches us to be grateful all the time, even during hardship. Glad to see science teaches this too. They go hand in hand.
Ammar Radhi i was thinking the exact same thing! our deen is enough for bcoming successful
My morning routine:-
1.wakeup early
2.hydrate
3.pray
4.tea
5.to do list
6.exercise
7.read
8.shower
9.breakfast
10.motivational video
11.get ready
12.go to college
Thanks for the video, its clear that you put a lot of work into it. I just wanted to say that personally I don't agree with you (at 2.27) "This gives you an hour to beat them"...I find it more effective to not make it about others at all. I myself find that by referring to others, it makes it more likely for anxiety to creep in..I really like the gratitude part, really excellent! :)
David Scahill I agree!
Reminds me of that quote that's like "Make your own success, don't be another step for someone else to walk on towards their success"
But at the same time this channel is pretty great and I feel more motivated for now even if it might only last for an hour or so, so maybe instead support those who deserve it but don't forget about your own success also etc
That last part is a good way to look at it
For few last years I've been doing the to do lists everyday. I am so productive like never before. Great video. Thanks

Interesting topic, thanks for the feedback :)
PLEASE do this one
try to sleep more during the day
I work a 2nd shift job so...
Everything {time-wise} is shifted by 8 hours for me...
The weekends can be a pain when planing to get together with "normal" people....
Need it!
Yes be grateful that you were given another day!!
I'm grateful for having the ability to discover new things
My to-do list:
• Make a to-do list
• finish my to do list
Man you just nailed!there are only a few western youtubers who have an understandable accent!keep it up!
Coffee, cold shower, and a run in the morning... ✊
Is that apart of your daily routine?
Thank you for this video. I am excited to add some of these to my morning routine. My 1yr old daughter and two yr old son are my bonding in the morning. I love waking up to their faces giving then hugs and kisses and seeing then smile.
Can you bond with a pet? For example, go on a nice walk with your dog to get your day started.
Dulce Sanchez obviously
Dulce Sanchez exactly my question lol I bond with my pets and cuddle with them first thing when we wake up.
of course you can ;) you can bond with anything you love
Yes definetly! Going for a walk also helps you wake up because of the light from the sky :)
Dulce Sanchez well yes
I don't consider myself an introvert at all but I have to say number 9. is probably my favorite thing about getting up early. It's like the rest of the world is still asleep and everything is still so peaceful. I feel like all days I've gotten up early were by far better than the ones where I'd slept in.
I'm sorry but at I believe there is HUGE MISTAKE, at 5:26, is oxytocin what you mean, not serotonin.
It's serotonin only
Yo, I like this! Keep going, this is very inspiring and motivational. Thank you for sharing love. Have a nice day and bless you!
Stop playing games and watching porn. You'll be perfect.
That's just a little part of success
badboy 19
That's just a step, an important one if you say so. But it's just a little piece and not enough

What's wrong with watching porn?
ask google
Hey man, super helpful. Need to get these to do lists more actionable and timed. Been getting up at 6 myself and my god it helps! Also, may I suggest yoga in the morning, gets the silence your talking on the inside also. Ooooo yeah, and SMILE! Nice positive tone to your voice as well dude! Keep it up.

he sounds a little like Morty
Kmal Kmali that made the video even better. 😁😎
I was just watching R&M before watching a few of these episodes... i thought the exact same thing. I think it's the way the guy stumbles over words and he he has a constant flow without trying to sound overly smart, you know?
Kmal Kmali just thought the same fucking thing😯
I literally searched the comments to find out if someone else thought that!
Day made!
Morty!!?!?!?!?!?!?!

The list at the end is awesome! Keep it in the videos please!
Be grateful that you have 10 fingers.... if you have eight, be grateful you have 8 fingers... i pissed my pants :DDD
Thank you for reminding me of what I already know but forget to practice.
#6 - I'm so GRATEFUL for your enthusiasm.
careful with #7 people.
Why? It's a good way to start the day if you're married.
no 8 , i think its best to clean up before the day of work had finished. Its great to wake up to see your work area neat and tidy, ready to get to work!
I don't have any fingers :(
Be grateful that were able to write this comment with no fingers somehow, you're amazing I wouldn't be able to do that.
3 is bs for night owls
Gratitude for helpful tips *and* your enthusiastic sharing to help others. Namaste.
Finally, a video that is 10:00 mins long. Thank you.
These are good points, but is missing the most important key which is a relationship with God. Without him all these habits are just a self help program.
Marcia C. What about atheists?
@ Marcia C. Thank you for your comment - I completely agree with you. There is no better way to start a new day than thinking of the love that God has for us and feeling his presence (God really loves us deeply, all the evil things on this earth are NOT his fault, he only wants us to be happy and following his paths of light, truth and joy)
Hi Marcia!
Really good video. I don't normally comment but just wanted to say you did a great job :P I love how you draw out the illustrations.
Doing exactly this helps me with school and to run well at cross country practice after school! Glad you're getting this out there to others.
gsus u fukken rushed this one, where is the soft and motivated voice?
ScornTeam make the videi 0.75 speed and you're good to go
Honestly, the voice kind of 'pissed me off' at first...but then I had a change of mind and decided to watch the video. I'm glad I did....Bravo!
Thanks :)
