- Last year we took the legendary Rocky Mountaineer train from Vancouver to Banff on their classic Passage to the West journey. We've spent 3 years living in Canada, but riding the train through the Rockies was one of the best things we've ever done.
Travelling through the mountains onboard one of the world's most luxurious trains was an incredible experience. We travelled in GoldLeaf Service, the premium class offered by Rocky Mountaineer, and were blown away by the quality of the food, service, hosts and comfort.
If you're looking for a real Canadian bucket list experience, make sure you watch this 4-minute recap of our Rocky Mountaineer review and get out there to book your trip!

Fifty years ago (I was 16) I travelled through here with my mom and dad by car pulling a travel trailer. I’ve never forgotten it, and have always wanted to go back. Just watching this was so emotional for me. The train trip looks like the way to go!
wow that is incredible and what a way to experience this area, with your love ones. The train journey was so nice and is a great way to see it with no worry. You just sit back and relax and look out the window. :)
We really enjoyed watching this, especially the stag elk wading through the river - very cool! Thank you for sharing your experiences, and we'll be sharing this with our guests to enjoy too!
Rocky Mountain Holidays It was lucky timing with the stag elk. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you
Trip of a lifetime. I rode Gold Leaf some years ago when the Rocky Mountaineer started and ended in Calgary. I even had to be called inside for meals, off the rear gallery, all the way from Vancouver to Kamloops and then to Calgary.
That is amazing. We are so glad you had a brilliant time. It is a wonderful trip. Did you see any wildlife while you were out the back? They are such great platforms. :)
We love EVERYTHING about this! Thank you so much for travelling with us, Alesha and Jarryd. You need to travel with us again soon!
Rocky Mountaineer thanks so much. It was a great journey. We had an amazing time 😀
Bloody love this :)
Ed Ringwood thank you so much 😀
It is really a great video. I just wonder whether it is a good idea to go to Banff in April or May?
Thank you so much. I think it will be. I think it is a great time to go. :)
Hi Team will the trains stops in the beautiful spots allowing us to take pics ?
The train does not stop it continuously travels during the day and you stop at night in a town and sleep in a hotel. You can take photos through the window and move around as you please. If you are in gold class you have a balcony area out the back to take photos also. It is a great experience. :)
I love these videos and want to take a trip.
But why are they always drinking orange juice, is that a Canada mountains thing?
Glad you liked the video Manuel. It was 6am in the morning when we did the OJ toast. Canadians love their OJ. :)
What is priced of train tickets???
