The Wicked Root Gapple has a Wicked Price but are very well made. I paid $1000 for a USA made Heavy Duty Root Grapple that weights around 650lbs about 5 years ago. It has served me well, no problems. It's 72", has 3/8" thick tines, duel cylinders and made of standard A36 steel. It's on a New Holland TN70A 70hp tractor and has held up well digging, pushing down trees, moving huge logs and grading. The Grapple still has about 80% of the paint. I would get a lighter weight grapple for smaller tractors that have much less lift capacity than my 70hp tractor....😮
I have the 60" version of that on my 55HP Kioti. Best implement I own. No regrets on my choice. Another important factor to consider is grapple weight. Some of the grapples made "over there someplace" use low grade steel, which means they have to use a lot more of it to make the grapple strong, making the grapple weigh twice as much in some cases. Maybe not a deal breaker on a bigger machine with lots of lifting capability, but implement weight becomes VERY important for those using a sub compact. They don't have that much lifting capacity to start with, so every pound more the implement weighs is another pound you can't lift! EA prides themselves in making strong, lightweight equipment. You can even call them and tell them what tractor you have and what you'll mainly be using the grapple for, and they'll help you pick the right style and size of grapple for your application. A single lid root rake grapple is my preference for what I do. My cousin runs a tree service and uses a EA double lid long bottom grapple for gathering the loose tree tops and piling them in his dump trailer. It's design allows it to slide on top on the ground more, instead of ripping down into the earth. This is perfect for working in someone's lawn, as you don't damage the sod nearly as much, which could lead to an unhappy customer. It's all about having the right tool for the job!
I have a LS4145 with the Everything Attachments Wicket Root Grapple with 2 separated hydraulic jaws, and it is a real workhorse. We have tried a single jaw grapple, but like the EA 2 jaws as they will clamp to different size loads. Got a good price
Nice video man! Just subscribed. I couldn't tell the model new holland you have...I have a LS 65 hp and it looked similar. Im looking for a grapple still and this helped. Thanks! Do you have a video on your light set up? I wanna change out mine....thanks again!
Thanks for the sub! Tractor is a 2018 New Holland Powerstar75, I plan on doing an in-depth review of it soon... I shopped hard for over a year looking for a tractor, with what these things cost I felt it wise. I had an LS MT573 on my short list in the end, final four if you will, I like most of LS's offerings... Which LS do you have? As for the light's, I've been meaning to get a video up covering the lights, and how I installed them. For a few hundred bucks, a day of fab and installation, I turned night into day, well at least for a 30ft dia. around my tractor anyway...
@@outdoorswiththesquatch4420 i have a LS xu5065... I looked for a long time also and ultimately I felt like it had the most options and bang for the buck. I found someone selling it used with only 230 hours on it. I couldn't pass up the deal. But I definitely need a grapple and the light set up is horrible....need to remedy that before winter hits again. Thanks again!
@@HermanWoodworks I know the 5065, nice choice... Tractor shopping can be aggravating to say the least, I was blessed at the end of my year long hunt, my local New Holland dealer and I came to an agreeable figure in the end, they honestly did me a solid. I live almost right between two of their dealerships, both 20 minutes away, hopefully I won't need anything other than maintenance and wear items from them, but they are the closest big AG dealer near me other than green paint which I can't afford.... I have an LS dealer about the same distance, but they don't have a very good rep, I would've traveled to an LS dealer about 2hrs from my house and made my purchase of the LS, they have a great reputation, and sell a lot of LS's Then there was the two red tractors on my list, one 60 minutes from me, the other 2 1/2 hrs. from me. Neither of these dealers seemed really interested in selling me anything, I knew more about the tractors they were selling than their own sales staff did, including national pricing. I managed to haggle with one and get close enough to what I was willing to spend that it was an option, the other wouldn't come off of msrp for all the tea in china.... Funny how it worked out in the end, I ended up with the tractor that was my favorite in terms of comfort and ergonomics, closest dealer support, and crazily the best price... They say lightning never strikes twice, I'm positive of this in terms of my tractor purchase....
@@outdoorswiththesquatch4420 nice! Yeah luckily I have a LS dealer and service 5 minutes from my house, quicker to drive the tractor there than load it....hahaha so that kinda influenced my search also. Yeah green and red can both be pretty expensive!
Does this EA stand up to connect to the loader? I have heard reviews say the root rake is a challenge to connect compared to the long bottom ones because they don't stand up? What about the EA? I am so on the fence on this or the dual lid long bottom (both EAs). Hunting property... starting to lean towards the rake!
It does not stand up on it's own, I just fully open and plant it on it's face if you will... I have seen where guys have made stands for them. I don't really struggle attaching and detaching it personally, but I do need a way of keeping mine upright soon, stay tuned and you'll see why!
Tony Belton, thank you for watching... The manufacturer is Everything Attachments, and the model in this video is the EA 66" Wicked Root Rake Grapple...

Nice job! Love the grapple hoping to pick one up myself soon!
Yeah, Everything Attachments are made in Newton, NC. I've been to their plant. I live about 30 miles south of Newton, NC.

You're having WAY TOO MUCH FUN with that, Corey!
No such thing, only serious work taking place here.😉
Those grapples are worth the money and they save your back too! Glad to see you survived the winter 🥶!
Chris, no doubt a serious back saver, very useful attachment. We did survive winter, not sure how, but seemingly we did somehow.😁
