- We were thrilled to visit Viktor in Bratislava, Slovakia to take a deep dive into his Sound Kit, talk about his Feature Film work & meet his team at Sohom Sound.
As well as working as a Production Sound Mixer, Viktor also supervises the Post Production Sound Mix from his ProTools Studio on many projects.
Viktor demonstrates to Simon from URSA Straps how he uses the Sennheiser Ambio VR microphone to capture ambisonic audio during takes for incredible sync atmospheres. We were able to visit Viktors ProTools studio and listen to this spatial audio and hear how it plays out in 5.1 surround sound!
We also talk with Miroslav Gaži about his work as a Boom Operator, how he stays fit to avoid injury and his tips and tricks for getting the best results on set.
We delve into his Radio Mic Box, Headphone Boxes & discuss everything from boom operating techniques to soldering cables. Viktor also shows us his unique 'Audio Village' rig that he developed for the Video Village cart to ensure the best fidelity of audio being played out to the director and crew.
Big thanks for Viktor and his team at Sohom Sound for being so supportive and generous with their time. We really appreciate it!! Good luck on your next show!

All three - Viktor, Miro and Adam are graduates of the Faculty of Film and Television, SOUND COMPOSITION STUDIO in Bratislava, Slovakia. They are proof that whoever wants to prove something can do it. It requires a clear goal, but above all, patience.
Viktor has already received 3 awards for his work for the best film sound - "Slnko v sieti" - which is the equivalent of an award ... for example, an Oscar.
Congratulations.
Loving these behind the scenes on professional sound teams. Keep up the great work URSA!
What kit!! And knowledge. This is one of the best URSA videos in support of the film industry. Great company.
Thank you Dan, appreciate your kind words x
Love the video! The Boom Op has a style I really appreciate. In ears on one ear only and using a Smartphone mount to see the picture is just making the booming game so much easier. Love it ❤
Amazing kit setup , love those boxes!
Yay! Thank you Viktor, Miro & Adam :)
Viktor, Miro and Adam this is very impressive. Really glad of this video Simon
Thanks Daniel, nice one

Great Video with a super group from Slovakia!
Thanks Konrad :) They are such a nice team and all went to university together in Bratislava. Both Miro & Viktor have a doctorate in sound as a result
what a awesome studio suite....pre and post in one house. Thanks for the share! goals
Thanks @theproducerden - its an amazing place. They also use the space we filmed in as a Podcast studio for their Audio Podcast 'Beyond The Sound' which will launch very soon.
Thank you. Yes, we really like this place, we have storage room, postproduction studios and also place for preparing production. But we want to move the production sound to different space, with a bigger workshop and more space for storage :)
@@viktorkrivosudskySOHOMSOUND wish you guys all the luck! thanks for the reply
The most complex video here at this channel, nice work!
aww thank you, it was a bit of a beast to edit. We hope to do more like it
Wonderful, as always
Thank you @elimgerman :) it was a beast to edit and looking back now I wish I crammed more in... in fact im working on a little new video just about how the ambeo was recorded as a little extra nugget from wonderful offcuts and bits we couldn't fit in :)
keep going the good work ;) thanks for another great video
Thank you @tiago_galvao

No LOM microphones ? They are based in the same city. Good video as usual.
Hi, actually I still own one of the first prototypes of Uši microphones which Jonáš made for me before they were available on LOM..
it was 10 years ago 😊
What a kick ass team :)
🥰🥰🥰
thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I am wondering on the main cart with the sennheiser transmitters in the half rack. How are you powering the cart? Also for those sennheiser's do you have a combiner then feeding that omni paddle antenna? Thanks
Where do you find the half rack shells @ Manufacture?
Found it in another Comment Flyht Pro Stage Rack Thanks
What is the cable adapter connected to the bottom of the Ambeo?
Can someone tell me what small equipment case that is at 33:30 ? Thanks.
I see FlightPro written on the top but Im sure @viktorkrivosudskySOHOMSOUND can tell you
@@URSAStraps Thanks but searching brings me no luck. I’ll continue to look. That’s the perfect size I need.
Hello, the name of the product is Flyht Pro Stage Rack 9,5" 3U Double Door
@@viktorkrivosudskySOHOMSOUND Thank you very much.
Great video. Nice kit. What brand are those transmitter cases?
Hello, the cases are from company called CONNECT IT. They are hardcases for 2,5" SSD or HDD, you will fit 4 transmitters there without any problems.
Thank you for the reply. Nice looking kit. Great video showing your set-up. Thanks.@@viktorkrivosudskySOHOMSOUND
