Your own head is your training. You do better work than some current locticians. Many of them are self taught or they take the sisterloc training and then also offer microlocs. Call around to 3 people in your area who do them and base your prices off theirs. I guarantee people will come get them done by you. Your work is great.
I have 3-1/2 month old diy braidlocs on 10 -12 inch long hair - only 144 of them because I have a small head and some thinning in the crown and front of my head. I have a lot of movement even with the slightest slant or turn of my head, I've got hang time always and I love that - no complaints so far!!
Congrats to you!!! Your hair is nice and healthy. I’m 5 months in with my braid locks. I’m starting to get a little hang time myself, I started to use pipe cleaners to curl my hair for a different look.
I finally finished my micro locs. I'm happy I did it I will say I missed up my grid in the back but am ok with it. I didn't get to count them but next time I will try
I love looking at your loc journey!! I’m 2yrs in and I loooove them! My initial cost was $50 per inch so I paid $550 for 5 1/2 inches of hair. I get a retie every 6wks and it takes 6hrs because my hair is so thick 😩But I have issues with lint being trapped in my locs, that’s the ONLY issue I have 🥺.I have micro locs btw. You’ve gained a new subbie! 😊Congratulations on your journey!
I asked these questions before listening to the whole video. I would definitely ask you to do locs for me. I would also ask you to show me how to interlock my own hair. I have been researching for a while and know I want to start locs with braids. I have not found anyone yet. Your locs look BEAUTIFUL 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Have you experienced any itching of your scalp since installing your locs? Do you braid and band when washing? Have you experienced any dryness, if so how do you remoisturize and how often do you moisturize.
I'm still waiting for my hair to get a good loc length. Remember that I'm coming from a boy cut...😫😩🤦🏾♀️ I let my husband stop cutting my hair around the time of your install.

Ok I had to subscribe, we have similar start dates. I’m May 16, 2020.
close up looks pretty good to me
Where did you get the measuring tool used when installing your locs? Did you make it?
How long does it take your hair to dry? Are you worried about your locs smelling or getting mildew?
I'm still waiting for my hair to get a good loc length. Remember that I'm coming from a boy cut...😫😩🤦🏾♀️ I let my husband stop cutting my hair around the time of your install.
😳😲My birthday was November 15th!
😉
Do you have an email? I plan to install my locs and I have a few questions.
