    What do you think of the odin 3 vs djaa maasta?

    • @LivingTimmy
      @LivingTimmy  4 месяца назад +2

      Both great for different things. Djaa Maasta is undoubtedly a Jazzmaster, which has got a very specific tone, but it's definitely the one geared for low tuned metal. Odin 3 has a lot of additional features that are quite nice (three different pickup types, amp modes and DI, forcing what string is played). So for general use I'd say Odin 3 edges ahead, but Djaa Maasta crushes it for low tuned stuff (without the noise you get from a real Jazzmaster). Though I could be biased cos my Jazzmaster is my favourite guitar haha 🤘

      @@LivingTimmy Worth noting that the three pickups are just different EQ profiles, the default being "raw"

      @@LivingTimmythat's cool to hear, thanks for that. In terms of the raw actual DI sound between them, is there much difference? Obviously, like you say, the tone is different, but what about things like realism, round robins etc.? I've noticed the Odin 3 sounds a bit robotic, especially when playing the same notes/chords over and over

      @@Dan-vb7lzthere's some ways you can make it sound more realistic. Like if you're playing chords for example, you can turn the strum mode on which makes it so the chord comes out as if the pick is going down the strings instead of all the strings sounding at once. Or you can move each note slightly to give the same effect which is a bit time consuming. Another this is you can choose weather it's a down stroke or an up stroke. So like depending on ya rythem you could strum it like down, down, up, up, down, up to give it a more realistic sound instead of just all downstrokes or alternate picking

    Six strings on a bass? Why?

      Because he can, that's why.

      @@cerrinhendricks241 There is no need for six strings on bass. He is at least not using a pick.

      @@Blaas123 Why are you commenting such bs on a low tuned djent style youtubers video lol, just seems like you are out looking for confrontation. Pick, fingers, balls, 1 string, 700 strings.....who cares?
