I am surprised Radiant Dawn got so far since its more of a "sequel game" and i am pretty sure most FE players have not touch it. Radiant Dawn is my personal favorite FE game alongside with Path of Radiance , but Radiant Dawn can be a big "hit or miss" with a lot of players. I am not surprised that 3 Houses was first place since it is the "best selling Fire Emblem Game" and it was the FE game that got the best trailer. I am also very surprised that Sacred Stones and Conquest were at the bottom since those two always have big fans , Conquest on its "map design" and Sacred Stones on its writing and improving its gameplay on the GBA era. I am more surprise that FE7 made it up there considering that it gets smackdown from here or there cuz "people now are seeing its big flaws".
DEFINITELY! I didnt expect it and i am soooo happy! For me its 3H & Radiance and i really enjoyed the Valencia remake (i think it was just the right time for me to play it), so those are my personal big 3. Honestly, i do get conquest fans gameplay wise but the writing of the whole IF series was so bad i couldnt finished any of the routes.... it was just too cringe, the story, the convos... i LOVED the gameplay, they really outdid themselfs, but i'd pick up most FE titles over the IF games bc of the cringe... so maybe thats why its so low? :S That beeing said, I played most games of the franchise but i am missing the whole Thracia cycle and while i used emulators as a teen i am just too tired to gather and fix this stuff as an adult, so i am jsut crossing fingers for a remake... eventually... To this day i cant believe how awakening revived this franchise, honestly. Getting 3H is like a miracle to me after the franchise was on deaths door before that game...
I think it would be interesting if these polls were done again, but if people could only vote if they played both games just to see which one people who have actually played both prefer
Honestly, the only things about SoV's gameplay that doesn't work for me is the map design. Of course, that's a pretty big part of the gameplay, but all the other interesting changes to the systems really do it for me. It's not particularly deep, but it feels so good to play imo
You know, you talk about how crazy it is how similar FE1 is to FE16, but personally, when I went from 16 to 1 myself, I was astonished at how *different* said games are. Like . . . FE1 expects you to lose your units, and said expectation informs its design, and results in a dramatically different *kind* of Fire Emblem experience from modern titles . . . but, it *is* still unmistakably Fire Emblem, at least.
This was so fun! The results of the majority of the match-ups make sense to me. That said: Fates, Engage, and Awakening were all done dirty. Fates vs Awakening should not have been so early. Anything versus 3H was kind of unfair. And having 3 options was also not completely fair. I feel like you could have just left off 3H until the final round and that might have made everything work better. You should do more things like this in the future.
damn, sacred stone at the bottom and blazing blade near the top? that's shocking to me, sacred stone is like, overall such a better game in my opinion. I'd say binding blade is better than blazing blade too. The only thing I appreciate about blazing blade is the tutorial being good making it a good intro to fire emblem (but even then I kinda feel like sacred stone might be a better intro regardless)

Don't get me wrong, seeing RD lose to 3H is annoying, but the fact that they made it to the Finals and the vote is essentially 60/40 makes me genuinely happy that people don't discredit this game. For it's garbage sales, it shows the people who played it have an honest appreciation for this game.

2:15 No, the people are absolutely correct. FE3 is really bland, the maps feel empty, the game is still slow, and dismounting literally does nothing but make everything take longer. The more I think about FE3 the more I realize it's my least favorite game in the series.
