As a pre-teen/teen male during the height of her career, she was a huge crush of mine as well. I really like her pre-Grease songs - she had a couple of #1 songs before Grease, her biggest was "I Honestly Love You." If you prefer more up-tempo songs, than "If You Love Me, Let Me Know" is a good early one. Anything off her first Greatest Hits is good to great in my opinion. Olivia had a crazy run of 7 straight #1 songs on the U.S. Adult Contemporary chart pre-Grease. She had amazing pitch, so seeing her live performances adds perspective on her talent.
Will have to watch some live stuff. Appreciate the insight and suggestions Andy!
Totally Hot album is a fab album. My favest ones are also ''PLease don't keep me waiting" (A side's opener),''Dancin round and round",'Borrowe time","Totally Hot" funky.
I will check those out! Thanks!
My aunt was an ONJ fan and I remember listening to her music while she baby sat me in the early 70's. My first memories are of ONJ's earlier country albums... Let Me Be There; If You Love Me (Let Me Know); I Honestly Love You; Have You Never Been Mellow. A lot of her earlier songs that weren't hits are still my favorites because they have nostalgic place in my heart. I can say that even as a child under 5 years old, Olivia's voice had a calming effect on me that continues to this day. As I grew older, I learned more about her and heard more and more of her music. Grease put her in a different place in my world and she became an instant crush as I'm sure she did for many boys and girls at the time. Olivia's gifts to this world both in music and in spirit are indelible and her death palpable. I feel that when the world loses a soul as precious as she was, it is felt in our collective consciousness. Try songs like If Not For You and Follow Me. From the album Physical, try Falling and Carried Away.
I will checked them out and I really enjoyed reading your comment. Great stuff I appreciate it David!
To see Olivia perform a little more love live, it just gets better and better. ❤
Will check it out. Thanks Paul!
I was born in 1975. My mom was a huge ONJ fan, so I loved her from the moment I was born. By the time I went to first grade, I was madly in love with her and even had a Xanadu lunch box! She was my first and greatest celebrity crush of all time! I still can't believe she's gone. I hope you're at peace, ONJ.
Totally can relate! Thanks for sharing and watching!
Great song..Olivia was a Legend
Agreed!
Olivia Newton John had a great late 70s & early 80s! Dunno how ya missed this? 🤔
Think my dad had a little crush on her too. 🤭 To be fair, she was stunning! 😳
My (& my mom's) fave ONJ song is Xanadu
She was stunning. Easy answer to how I missed it. I was 6
@@ReactionsToTheClassics pretty sure my dad had this on one of those old little 45 records LoL 🤭
Btw to me Whole XANADU soundtrack (One side Olivia plus/One side ELO) is just fantastic!
Btw in the promo clip of that year she looks DAZZLING!
Will check it out!
Peak ONJ! Easily one of the best albums in her catalog and worth an entire listen.
Will check it out. Thanks!
I love this song ❤
Thanks for Watching!
This song is the most pure and great example of "rockfied" country music! I remember when it was released back in '78 and I simply LOVE this song!
It is greatness! Thanks for watching!
You definitely need to see John Farnham with Olivia Newton John “please don’t ask me” from the Main Event live concert. The connection between Them is Electrifying!!
Will do that one next! Thanks!
A bit of interesting trivia: ONJ's grandfather was Max Born, colleague and close friend of Albert Einstein.
Great trivia. Thanks for sharing and watching Jill, I super appreciate it!
Max Born was a founder of Quantum Mechanics and won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1954.
Olivia has a duet with John Farnham, Please Dont Ask Me, from the Main Event concert. Worth checking out. Olivia and John were great buddies, had been since their 20's. They also did a duet for the opening ceremony of the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. She was such a great person, so sad when she passed.
I have that on my list. The partnership of two great artists I have to check it out. Thanks Joan!
I have a few suggestions - Make a Move on Me, Deeper Than the Night, Twist of Fate, Heart Attack & Soul Kiss
Really appreciate the suggestions and thanks for watching @chriswilson4453!
Great album especially on vinyl and head phones back in the 70s
NOTHING like vinyl on headphones for sure! Thanks Tina!

I love Olivia Newton-John who? didn't fall for her and "Totally Hot" is my favorite Olivia album, my favorite Olivia song is "I Honetly Love You" from 1974 but another faovite song from the "Totally Hot" album is "Deeper Than The Night" it wasn't a big hit like the smash hit "A Little More Love" who's is also a favorite of mine but it has a great Disco beat to it.
I dunno, Deeper than the Night went to #11, that's a hit!
@@chriswilson4453 I think your right it was a bigger hit then i remember it was.
Really appreciate the suggestion and thanks for watching @Coffeecorner2000!
Please listen to Olivia's live performances from her 1982 concert (Physical Tour). She was absolutely amazing and she sang many of her big hits. The quality is great too as that concert was taped for HBO. The entire concert is available as well as the individual performances.
Great stuff, appreciate the suggestions and for watching!
Oh plz do take a look to the original video from 1978 on this song. She's breathtakingly gorgeous.Whara Fox!
ps.It's the one with her longer blonde hair the black leather trouser also featuring her doing the photo seesions for her album's cover sleeve.
Wow that was fantastic, thanks for the suggestion!
Olivia Newton-John belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If Madonna, Michael Jackson, Abba, and Whitney Houston got on, Olivia definitely deserves to be in.
I totally agree Aidan!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics She is probably the most deserving of those not already inducted...
always loved her music and was finally able to go see her perform I think about 3 years before she passed :( Have you heard "Don't throw it all away" ? Another great one, but my favorite is "Suspend me in time"
I don't think I have heard either of those. Will check them out. Thanks for the suggestions and for watching!
One of my fav ON-J songs ❤
It's a great one! Thanks for watching!
This song was a favorite of mine back then because of its catchiness. ONJ. My favorite will always be "Hopelessly Devoted to You."
I do remember that one it is great!
My favorite ONJ song of all time!
Thanks for Watching!

Magic, Xanudu and Suddenly (duet with Cliff Richard).
I actually know those 3, she was greatness!
Loved this when it came out
Thanks for watching!
Everyone loved ONJ.
Thanks for Watching!
That was right after thbe explosion of GREASE from her Totally Hot album. But Grease was so huge that kinda overshadowed this great solo album.Still a top 3 hit in USA./no2 Canada.
That is a great point I should have made! Not much bigger than Grease at this time!
Awesome choice sean!! My teen years❤❤❤❤❤
Nothing like those year Robyn, the older I get the more I realize it!
Lol most guys had a crush on Olivia … and Linda Ronstadt, Dottie West, Emmylou Harris, Ann & Nancy Wilson, Donna Summer
Yep just conveying one of my earliest memories
@@ReactionsToTheClassics I completely understand lol
different but The Dolphin Song is pretty cool also.
Will check it out, Thanks Joey!
Love ONJ!
Thanks for watching @porkins74!
Listen to Olivia’s Twist of fate. Also Sam the live version. And Hopelessly devoted to you Live
Will check them out. Thanks John!
The Video, original when she had Long Hair, is pretty hot and goes well with the song. She did an 80s video with the same song but updated her look.. It's not bad but far less interesting than the original.
I did finally watch the original, greatness!
1) great song
2) super typical of what women experience
Thanks for watching @darkphyn!
So many people think she’s an ozzy she’s not was born in the uk and is English 👍🏻
Thanks for Watching!
I fell out of love with ONJ when she did Grease.
She had a Greatest Hits out before that stupid film.
haha that film was so big. Put her to another level of fame in the US. I respect your opinion though!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics'Grease' marked an Iconic era. Here in Europe most of us who had lived that period real time during in our teens, Grease/SNF /Bee Gees,Olivia and ABBA are the first things that strike in our minds regarding the popular soundscape of the '70s.
