I went through the darkest season of depression and anxiety I have ever faced over the past 3-4 months. I isolated myself from everyone and was about to give up on everything. I looked around my life and saw nothing but brokenness. Brokenness in my marriage, in my blended family, at work, in my finances, everywhere.
BUT GOD❤️🙌🏾
God didn’t change my circumstances but He gave me clarity. Now I’m back in the fight and realize what I must do. 🥊

This year has been so hard for so many. Keep holding on to God in the fight!!! Take care of your mental health too. Counseling helps. Prayer is a weapon. Therapy is a strategy!

@@DrAnitaPhillips 2020 was like turning on the lights and seeing all the roaches. It shed light on insecurities and traumas I didn’t know I was holding onto and really made me question the stability of my faith. I’ve been looking for a black, Christian therapist for about a month but that’s hard to find here in Wisconsin🧀 Jesus IS a Wonderful Counselor so I guess they don’t need to be Christian. At this point, I’ll take anyone willing to help me unpack this dumpster fire that is my life. I am ready to take back my life by whatever means necessary!

OMG🙌🏽I thank you for allowing God to use you to Shake me! My husband passed away 21 years ago. I’ve desired to be married again, but after so many years, I gave up on the dream. That thing for me is marriage, not Simply marriage alone but a Godly marriage that heals and fills that place in me that longs and desires to be quenched. I'm Christian since age 18, single, never married, 53. I have heard, applied, understand, am past all typical cliches and comments. I have opened and closed this door of hope several times,, I'm leary to hope again, tired, exhausted. My parents have passed away, my son is grown and planning to marry next year etc. I know I'm not the only one, who will stand with me and hope again? Thank you Dr. Anita Phillips for giving me a place in the Word of God to think on and hope again. I don't feel the hope yet but I have opened the door to entertain the idea. At this time I seek a specific word to me from God that marriage is for me, or show me where He has spoken it before, this will bolster me to the next step of actually believing that it is for Me and I'm not asking amidst.

Dr. Phillips, your words and conviction has me crying. I gave up on my life. As a child, living through my parents divorce that brought tremendous pain, abandonment, demonization of what I thought my self was to be turned into a lifetime of placating my physical body with food and denial. Watching others in all ways (television, music, real life) as a way to “learn” but never knowing. (2 Tim 3:7 was my first wake up in 2010). As I listened to you today, childless, obese, attempting to make God the center amidst a sometimes intense spiritual pain (living with BPD) I couldn’t think of anything I gave up on, clearly thinking that that good stuff given to others is just not my path. I’m here to live God and that’s it. Towards the end of your speaking Dr. Phillips - a wave of conviction brought me to tears, of the chance and hope at life that awaited me when I was 14, and I’d given up. I’m now 39 and Heavenly Father please - I will not let go - please use me Lord God to become a beacon, to help others all that I can, I trust you Lord will use whatever is left of my life to guide me to create the life you always had planned for my purpose. Thank you Dr. Phillips, I praise God for working in you, I thank you for staying strong in your life and sharing with us your ministry. Lord Jesus thank you! The church could not step in ahd help bc they did not understand why & how, but to Him be allll the glory, I have those moments-but I can now get up and ready for the takedown by flipping the script and go into the ring for the showdown!
