Hello bruv. It’s Jonny bamber. I gave you the bike carbs for Maude. This video has truly touched me and I am so proud of you for this. I was where you are with sniff and puff. I smoked weed from the age of 13 and coke from my teens got so bad was doing a few grams a day and weed. In the end I was not even doing lines just Splitting it into two piles and sniffing it. Would get a gram on my way home pull over in a lay-by sniffing it all then going home and hiding it from my family. Put my wife and family through so much and lost them for a while. Won’t go into it all but I have not done drugs now in ten years. Tried AA and CA but just was not for me. The love of my wife and kids got me through it and I managed to turn my life around. The thought is always in the back of my head but I look at what I have now and the family that stuck by me. From where you was to where you are now is amazing. What you have achieved with your cars and your channels is amazing!!! There are normal everyday people that would not have the guts to do what you have!! You have a truly amazing woman standing by you and by posting this video you now have everyone of you subscribers watching you back!!! You have one massive family looking out for you now!! If you ever get the bad thoughts when you know Cats working a night shift your welcome over mine for the night!! You got this bruv! You got my number and as always if there is anything I can do to help with the card or anything just let me know. It’s hard to admit to the ones you love but what you have just done is truly brave. Your a legend!!!❤❤

I was about to write something about not being on your own when Cat’s on her night shifts, but this comment beat me to it. I too have spent many years thinking about some of these issues, in my case through involvement with a counselling organisation and trying to help people in other situations. Trying to ‘be strong’ in a situation known to trigger the problem is bound to fail - you have to see it coming and withdraw from the situation. Going to stay with a trusted friend or family or having them stay with you on those occasions seems to be a good way forward.

Hi mate, I have been a follower right from the start. Brave brave man doing what you just did. I can relate. I had both my parents pass from cancer within 6 months of each other and it hit me hard. I ended up with depression and started taking Sertraline for it. I went through the most darkest of places but I’m still here. My beautiful wife and gorgeous little girl gave me the reason I needed to not do something silly. I know you don’t know you personally but keep strong and always remember that your not alone, people care and would really miss you. Take care

Look after yourself. You are a national treasure. Don't touch the antidepressants, you don't need them and they can seriously mess you up in strange ways. Find some activity however daft for those Nightshift nights that go wrong. You could probably get a job as an analyst. I still think one day somebody will spot you and you will be on the TV. Keep making the youTube (both channels) you are better at it than you think, and help loads of us. Look after Cat. Thank you, and thank you for reading.

Hey Marcus I have watched this video 3 times I can’t believe you are struggling with these addictions. I have been watching your main channel from the start and even criticised your driving in some of them. I can’t stop thinking about the things you have said especially about wondering random towns alone and stealing packages in the hope there is drugs in them. I’m not going to lie I had a tear in my eye listening to you tell your story. You come across as a care free normal guy with a good woman and a passion for your cars. I would never have guessed you are fighting these addictions. I hope one day you will win this battle and be happier than you have ever been 👍🏻

Firstly Marcus, MASSIVE respect to what you do with the cars, and the gamble of leaving Royal Mail. Your in my top 3 RUclipsrs that I watch as soon as you drop a video. But my god, this video mate, like everyone else has said, had no idea. You got big balls to admit all that, I can see it it's going to help massively to others! I'm not an addict or suffer depression, but when you talked about small things, even insignificant things that happen to you as a kid, that can have a massive effect on adult life, that hit home with me. Soon as you started talking, I could instantly relate to it. Would love to see a side by side vid with Cat, with her thoughts on this. And she really is, a beautiful girlfriend to stick by you! Take care mate, and keep posting vids👍👍👍

Hay bro. I lost a childhood friend last year due to mental health, he would have been 40 this year. The first time we knew about it was he put a load of pics on facebook of what he had done to himself. We all got round him to tried to help him out, we all thought he was doing well! But he was hiding it from us. He was hiding a lot from his family too. He was on drugs and drinking witch did not help out! I wish he had opened up to us and we could have helped him more. Still remember that call from his sister! Then having to tell all of our friends. I've been struggling with my own mental health after almost loosening my own life 3 years ago. Witch has left me with a lot of heath problems! Really has knocked me back and i struggle every day. Im nowhere near as bad as him and i don't entend on ever getting there! So stay strong and keep up the good work!

Have you ever had your testosterone levels measured at a private clinic? I was diagnosed with depression by a NHS doctor but I was showing a lot of symptoms of low testosterone, a good friend of mine from my gym told me to get my bloodwork done and it turned out my testosterone was very low. I’ve been TRT ever since and I haven’t touch a antidepressant, I feel completely normal and happy all the time. Thanks for the advice! 👍 Currently Im not interested in getting 'diagnosed' for anything. As far as Im concerned doctors are just the marketing department of big pharma anyway. For someone like me that has lived the life of a lazy waste man, the last thing I need is a diagnosis (an excuse) for how I am. I just need to WORK everyday at being a stronger person. If I am at a disadvantage because I have some sort of 'medical issue' then so be it. Any disadvantage is irrelevant if I actually try my best at life. 💪

Joined your other channel covid lockdown time..
You did propper help me get through some really shitty nights and dark days.
I've been a drug addict since for ever.
90ts clubbing. First night out taking Es was only 14. But we was walking about at the age of 11 n 12 on acid sniffing gas .
So the class As took hold before my 20th bday. " just wanted you to know me propper briefly before I say"!!
You brave pal. Your honest to say in an addict even thou you have tryed to keep it together "which you have" .
Not a crack an smack head like me.
Bit I've always admitted I'm an addict.
I love your understanding and ability to get across, if your not onto the coke this week you hitting the booze or a combo ect
I know you dont probably want thousands of people saying "oh Marcus we think your so brave a d you going a out of the right way this that the other.
I've got a mk1 st170 last year mainly cos your other channel
Always dreamt of stop being a total addict junkie what ever
Wanted to have something to focus on
But it's the slips and the depression that sets in if you slip, that hurts
It makes me anyway feel like a total fraud when someone says "your really doing better now your mot spending every ladt pe NY on the coke or the crack ect ect.
I'm glad you have now stood infront of the camera to tell us about this Marcus! Cos its shocked me that you go on walk abouts and drug cruzes like ke I've always been famous for
Kinda thought yo my self if he struggles to talk an Express him &elf with out coke like me ? Is he coked up here.??.
Hey brother that's just the addict in me
. I cant do AA.. CA .. ect because I sat there trying to figure out if there chatting awY this week cos there smashed?? Cos last three weeks they havnt said 2 words
    .
Anyway thanks for the honesty and sharing.
And your so so right cat is your life saver.
My misses past away 10 years back dead young and it recked me.
    Keep the faith brother.

The thing is, no-one can understand what it's like to be an addict if they haven't had that experience themselves! Many may say, get help, but when you are deep into something, you can't, or don't want to see what help is available, until for some, something happens to get you to make a decision to get help! many don't get to that point! Also, sometimes we can'r see that we have an issue! I never had issues with drugs like this, but went through mental health issues with depression, even having to have 6 weeks in a mental hospital. It's not easy to see a way out. But as you are doing now, being truthful and honest with yourself, and those who care about you. and simply talking about things, can begin to make better decisions in life not only you, but those around you, and other's who may see this video. Good on you Marcus.

2 minutes in Marcus an I feel you brother.. massive massive respect for you opening up there.. the best thing I ever did was open up to my addiction I was hooked on painkillers for almost 10 years it got to the point where I planned my route to pass pharmacy’s to pick more up if I couldn’t get any from the bloke up the road who could get hold of anything wink wink… I kept it from everything until one day I ran out completely and I was in bits.. I contacted a company called CGL Change Grow Live.. I’m being treated as a heroine addict due to the amount of opioids I was taking and it’s changed my life… give yourself a big pat on the back for admitting you have a problem you can break the habit 💪 you got this 💪

Wow, I wasn’t expecting that, (let me try jog your memory who I am lol, I met you with my son at Santa Pod ford show I’ve spoke to you a bit on messenger, myself and my son have a RUclips channel…not this one I’m on now, I’m Dave my son Bailey I’ve got the ratty mondeo and fiesta)
Great honesty there, I myself struggle daily with mental health I do have labels personally I don’t mind using my diagnosis at times to explain myself, I’m autistic and I have ocd, the ocd is bad but I can hide it, I too am a alcoholic and have used drugs but alcohol was my main drug of choice, I’ve been sober and clean for 7&1/2 years, I also did attend aa 12 step program but haven’t attended for a few years I never fully committed and like you there were parts that didn’t resonate with me and I also found it a bit of a cult.
I get suicidal thoughts they’re worse as I’m older, I try (I’m on some now) medication but it never really works for me it’ll take the edge off for a few weeks then ware off.
I often make viewers of our channel aware that I’m autistic and struggle.
Hopefully you’ll do a video on meditation soon as I’ve always struggled to understand how that works and just because I’m 7&1/2 years sober doesn’t mean I find life easy, I hate social situations and I do lots of stuff alone.
Keep up the good work 1 day at a time don’t be hard on yourself 👍

      @Asbo2JZ Год назад +1

@cortinamad1 I can kinda relate. Don’t wanna go into it too much cuz I’m not comfortable with some of the mental side but I’m also autistic with OCD and I also suffer from PVL which is a form of cerebral palsy and I have epilepsy too so I pretty much never touch my car cuz the PVL basically means as much as I can pull weight in the gym I can’t actually use my muscle and I also have arthritis so combining the two it takes 10x more effort just to do stupid shit like get out of bed and walk to the toilet cuz my joints stiffen up after a while which makes it hard to move and with the arthritis it’s even worse in the winter. As for the epilepsy that’s triggered by heat light and noise so that can also hold me back sometimes. And as you probably know being autistic yourself I get confused and struggle to understand simple things and I can’t do things quickly either. So aswell as that I’ve also struggled with mental health too and I still do now(ie. Depression anxiety and paranoia and I have had similar thoughts but I’ve never acted out on it) and from the outside i look like a mess but you would never know I had these conditions unless you saw me walking but even then I force myself to try heal and toe so it’s less noticeable so I look normal. Now for the last few years I’ve been numb but since I bought my Lexus 2 months ago I’ve been way happier and because I’ve been distracted either filming videos or taking pictures or trying to learn more about it and look at parts for it my mental state has been pretty good although I do sometimes have off days and this is slightly stupid but it’s mainly cuz I’m the only one in the family with no friends or partner or any social life at all and it does get to me sometimes but now I look through my camera roll and see how pimp my Lexus looks and I remember the times I said I’d never afford one and then remember it’s mine and I realise that life really isn’t that bad and if you wait it out it will get better even if it’s something small. So everyone who says cars won’t make you happy and are just metal just don’t understand and probably never will but trust me things will improve. Hang in there man

Hi Marcus, thank you for your openness, you are very lucky to have a wonderful supportive girlfriend in Cat.... please don't take her for granted....I loathe my partner of 15 years recently partly due to my alcohol addiction and also my mental health illness......I'm just getting over it and I appreciate you being so honest and your positive attitude is really inspiring.....all any of us can do is try our best, we all fail occasionally, and like yourself we have to deal with it and try to move forward.......I'll pray for you to succeed in the long run....please keep sharing as I recently had a crisis and was on my way to lie down on the railway line and go to sleep and hope to never wake up....we all need escapism at times just do what works for you...🤞

Jeebus! Mate! We must travel through the dark to find the light = the fact that you are talking and getting its off your chest is the 1st step believe me. So many ways you can overcome it. There is Neo Resonance therapy , Reiki , football , come online and play DAYZ or zombies - those can help , find your niche....you can do it ! This is also a message to whoever else is watching/reading - you can overcome it too!
Mate - you have a great foundation to overcome this - you work , you have a RUclips project, you definitely aint no wasteman! Some guy knocked on my door for a spoon , now that is waste! You just need to escape from the world we all do just without harming your body and soul! Good luck!

Hi Marcus…much respect for this very open and honest video , this kind of talk and content can only create more positivity in your life and all who view it…from my experience through meditation, coming to understand that you don’t have to act on every thought that pops into your head and that your thoughts don’t define you where the first building blocks that I needed with my struggles with addiction, I’m a few years older than yourself but I understand and can relate to what you’ve gone through… I’m at a place now where I don’t have a constant battle with myself not to fall off the wagon, I just don’t want to anymore… stay “on track” mate you’re an inspiration 👍👍👍

I remember when I first learned about meditation whilst watching self help videos. It took years before I actually tried it because I thought it was a bit weird etc (which ironically was me allowing my mind to not try it) After learning about Eckhart Tolle, I tried actually meditating and was doing it everyday for a while. Even when I stopped I made sure that I was living in the present moment as much as possible and this was huge for me in terms of improving my life. Nowadays I sit down every morning and go through a guided meditation on RUclips. For me 20 mins is the ideal BUT I am purposely doing 10 mins because I am trying to do not allow my mind to persuade me that I dont have time etc. Iv leant from past experiences that for me it is better to do a LITTLE BIT of EVERYTHING in my morning routine (meditation, journaling, walk round the block, exercise, cold shower etc etc etc) rather than picking and choosing certain elements from the routine and going full on. 👍
