Two is that India didn't make any of Mao's mistakes, not even a single one of Mao's mistakes, because India has strategically done more outside of India and less inside of India. 👍🏻
Blaming Modi for everyrhing maynot be correct. Coz, the one scripting the policies are Jaishankar. Or maybe he is just implementing the policies he gets forwared from the US?
And when talking about Jaishankar, it would be foolish to ignore his son, who works for the US thinktank and lives in the US, or his role & influence
Is there any other country of India's stature whose FM/policy maker's son is on US salary?
During the Galwan crisis, naturally, it was the US and Congress, as the main opposition party, who was pushing for the Indian Govt to act militarily against China.
Congress targeting the PM was understandable, because, everyone knows that a war with China will be disastrous and that it will lead to the end of political career of any sitting PM. In this case, Modi.
The only one who was pushing for a peaceful resolution to the Galwan crisis was Russia.
Apart from other reasons, they likely sensed the US gameplan of grabbing the oppertunity to initiate an Indo-China conflict, An Indo-China conflict is basically two birds in one shot for the US.
In my opinion, if there is anyone to be blamed for the Indo China relations and tensions, its not Modi, its Jaishankar. Jaishankar is the single biggest obstacle in normalisation of India China relationship and for a peaceful settlement of issues.

Dr. Sawhney, thanks for doing a realistic snapshot of the Inida-China border developments/mistrust. It seems that the Indian Ministry of External Affairs is run by a man who has a very narrow perspective, which also shows the Indian PM's inability to comprehend the challenges India has landed under his handpicked MEA, Mr Jaishankar. India can never be a counterweight to China in the next 30 years, and the game will be over for the US by that time, much sooner.
India is an excellent country of brilliant people; it can do better than what it is doing at home and abroad. The current mistrust with China will cost India two trillion dollars in the next two decades in terms of lost opportunity, useless weapons programmes and neglecting social programs and infrastructure upgrades at home to boost industrial production and improve the joblessness situation for its masses. It is mind-boggling to understand how a career diplomat can make such Foreign Policy blunders that would result in two lost decades of development and poverty eradication. If the Indian foreign policy had been in sound hands in the past 12 years, India could have had a prosperous future by now and a more viable economic future that the people of India deserve. Dr. Sawhney, I anxiously await part two of your analysis on India-Chin in the context of Mr. Jaishankar's book.

Cooperation is a clear strategic clarity. The current India throwing that away and treat China as a frenemy, wishy washy between colluding with the west against Asians and trying to make itself look powerful and refusing to cooperate with China to mutual benefits, is a clear lack of strategic clarity.

India wants a settlement on the border issue with China, but also did not want to settle the border issue. It sounds contradictory. Let me explain. India wants to settle the border issue with China on India's term. No compromises. India's term is to accept the border as drawn by an Englishman during the peak of the British Empire. ie, what belongs to India is decided by an Englishman. Period. India thinks this is the only solution.
There is no other option, that is why, if China refuses to accept this Indian term, there will be no settlement.
Would China allow its territories to be cut off by the stroke of the pen of an Englishman? This is the arrogance and delusion of India, thinking that it is a superpower more powerful than China and wanted to dictate terms with China.
China has now completely ignored India and would not want to talk to India on the border issue and let India continues with its wet dream.
In realpolitik, India at best is a third rate power! India is acting and behaving like Mickey Mouse in the cartoons, thinking that it is big and powerful and can mess around with the cat. In the real world, the cat will eat India for breakfast.

India (Republic of India) didn't exist before 1947. Italy didn't exist before 1860. Turkey didn't exist before 1922, Germany didn't exist before 1871, Saudi Arabia didn't exist before 1932 and so on. Concept of Countries was invented in Europe in the 18th century. Before the invention of the concept of countries, there were only empires and kingdoms everywhere around world. Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Denmark, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, Netherlands, lechesiten etc were created after fall of Holy Roman empire and subsequent kingdoms in Europe.
After the fall of the Ottomans empire in 1922, many countries were created based on their nationalities.Saudi Arabia didn't exist When Prophet Muhammad was born in Mecca.Turkey was created in 1923 and Saudi Arabia was created in 1932 after the fall of Ottomans Empire in 1922. Europe and Middle East was united under various empires and kingdoms for most of the history just like India. India was the name for the region east to river Indus. It was never a country before 1947 but a region or subcontinent where various empires and kingdoms existed just like in Europe, Middle East or other parts and continents of world.
Now the question is what is nation and nationality? A nation is a society that shares a common language, culture, and history and has shared interests. For example English, German, Italian, Turkish, French, Russian, Dutch, Spanish, Arabs, Persian, Kurds, Japanese, Korean, Punjabi, kashmiri, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Malyalam, Thai etc are nations and a country based on single nation or nationality or where a single nationality dominates culturally, politically, in economy and military is called a nation state. Most countries in Europe or 'civilised world' are based on single nationalities and are nation states or simply called nations.
There are dozens of nations within India and Pakistan. And hence India and Pakistan are union of nations or multinational countries. Nations are Punjab, Kashmir, sindh, Baluchistan, Gujarat, Bengal, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu etc. And in modern civilised world countries are created on basis of nationality like the countries in Europe (England, France, Germany, Poland, Norway, Sweden, Croatia etc) or in Asia (Korea, Japan, China,Thailand, Philippines etc) and Bangladesh etc are countries based on nationalities.
Among the 650 major nations in the world, the nations in the union of India are one of the largest nations in the world. After Han Chinese Mandrain, Spanish, Anglo Saxons English, and Arabic
    Bengali - world's 5th largest nationality
Punjabi- 10th largest nationality in world
Marathi- 13th largest nationality in world
    Hindustani- 14th largest
    Telugu- 15th largest nationality
Tamil- 17th largest nationality in world
Gujarati- 24th largest nationality in world
    Bhojpuri- 25th largest
    Kannada- 29thth largest
    Malyalam- 30th largest
    Oriya- 32nd largest
    Maithili- 40th largest
    Awadhi- 46th largest
    Assamese- 65th largest
Haryanvi, Marwari, Magahi, Deccan, etc in top 100 nationalities of world.
(Hindi, Urdu are not nationalities but artificial languages developed from Hindustani language and imposed on some nations in some regions, with only few native speakers. These regions have their own nationalities and languages. Hindustani is a nationality in western Uttar pradesh with Hindustani as native language).
Republic of India was created in 1947 out of the British Indian empire on the basis of two nations bogus theory. Two nations were assumed as Islam and hindusim. But in reality, Islam and Hinduism are not nations. India and Pakistan were not created based on nationalities but on two nation (Islam Hinduism) bogus theory. Hence, these countries are based on religions. On the other hand, Bangladesh is a nation state which was created on the basis of Bangla nationality in 1971 (5th biggest nationality in world). British empire changed ownership rights in 1947
Three predominant civilisations in Republic of India, Indo Aryans, Dravidian and Sino Tibetic ( North East nations in the Republic of India) don't share anything although the first two civilisations share religion hence religion is the biggest binding force of the country followed by Military Power which is used to occupy non Hindu nations (Punjab, Kashmir, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya) with the country. Most of Hindus in Indian subcontinent prefer religion over their nationalities unlike muslims (Kashmiri, Bangla, Baluch, Sindhi, Pashto) who identify themselves with their nationalities and even support nation states like Bangladesh.
According to research, Higher ethnic or national diversity within a country negatively affects economic growth through conflict between interests of various nations or ethnicities (Don't confuse the ethnic or national diversity with the multiculturalism in west due to migration, the migrants mix with diverse society and become part of nationality of the host country and work for the interests of the dominant nationality).
High 'nationality or ethnic' Diversity correlates with low GDP per capita.
Strong democracy correlates with ethnic or national homogeneity.
Punjab and Kashmir should be a free countries based on Punjabi and Kashmiri nationalities like Bangladesh

You can stay in Union of India if you wish but you can't force others to be subservient to you. And it's not you who would decide if India is good and democratic for them. They would decide for themselves.

I don't agree with your POV, before Modi govt, the border development along the McMohan-line(which didn't exist earlier until China attacked India in 1965) was so rapidly done by China, I ask you why? And these Roads are made to move "heavy machineries"(only for peaceful act, right?), we shouldn't act like a pigeon or an ostrich which hides its face whenever there is threat. We should act quickly which the Modi govt did by developing border Roads. While doing this, China was objecting these border developments, which should not be done if it's within our territory. Therefore, People like you should stop putting the onus of this on India. If China really cares about India- China relationship then it should
    1) Stop doing infrastructure projects in POK under CPEC, We don't care if China spends 50-100-200 Billion investment in Pakistan but not within India's territory.
    2) Stop building military level infrastructure near the border, if you(China) don't then India will do what it needs to do.
    3) We don't hate Chinese😏. But your govt doesn't share with you the historical facts. There was no India China border, China occupied the Tibet by force and now they are claiming parts of other country. Not so innocent.

How come our Military General Staff do not advise our Government on such critical issues? I personally think that our Military High Command is incompetent, and inclined to be politically involved with the BJP. And the Government has appointed heads of the three forces who fit this bill. I feel sorry for our brave troops who actually bear the consequences for such decisions.

After declaring ladakh including aksai chin as union territory, India should had enforced defense along china front in anticipation of any misadventure by china.

You cannot compare India and China in the same breath.
India simply has to learn from the West and America to outbid China.

  • @rajeshsingh6015
    @rajeshsingh6015 7 месяцев назад +5

Thanks to Mr Praveen Sawhney for his analysis and information about the events in chronological order. However, I will disagree with the notion of faulty foreign policy by India and also it is India’s steps that has caused Chinese aggression. Anyone who knows CCP will agree that this was inevitable, China was well behaved for the last 30 years as they wanted to become strong and then follow their aim or take care of unfinished business. They think that their time has come and they can take care of past disputes. India needs to act in it’s interest and cannot worry what China or Pakistan will think. India had to amend 370 which they did, it may have angered China then so be it. I will agree that in Military might and also economy China is ahead of India but that doesn’t mean india has to do things to keep China happy as it is of no use, they will pounce on you once they see an opportunity. Today it is declared that China is our number one enemy, this enables us to be better prepared for any acts of aggression that may come from China. China is friends to no one, any nation that cooperated with China does it at the cost of its economy or territory. India has unambiguously declared and also identified china as enemy number 1, this is great because before solving any problem u have to identify it. By Gods grace China’s economy is going down and ours is on an upward swing and this will give us time to catch up to China. We cannot be pussy footing now, we also don’t have to be extra belligerent but you have to call spades a spade. India China war is inevitable and I have a feeling we will do lot better then 1962 as we have identified the problem before and are better prepared.

Asia is Egypt, Turks, Arabs, Israel, Persia, India. China is the Orient. Make India Asian fair again(test tube). Sadly the Kings of Asia brought in African slavery, same as in America, South America, etc. and the sins of slavery has hurt all civilizations. Make India Asian fair again. Also have "classical" piano taught in all schools in India, especially for girls. 90% of Chinese women know classical piano because it is a easy way to communicate at a "elite" manner with the west. Israel and China have both mixed with the elite of the Europeans and gained knowledge. India needs to do the same. India needs to focus on knowledge. India's original faith was scientific. ALL the teachers of ALL the faiths are Asian because it was Asia's spiritual history, Asia's narrative. The names, stories in the Old Testament are Asian e.g. Sarai, Amir, Shemi (Indian). Yeshiva was Jesus' real Jewish Asian name, Jesus was given to assimilate with the Greek deity Zeus. The west weaponized currency and faith. You do not need a western faith e.g. Catholic, etc. to Love Asian Christ. Creation is Love and intellect. No rituals, just pure science. India's vibration has to be at that level to have full access to the power of Creation. Good values.
