I focus on 5 types of videos. 1. I review trucks and SUVs from Ford, GMC, Chevrolet (Chevy), RAM (Dodge), Toyota, Nissan, and others. 2. I review accessories for both RVs as well as Pickups and trucks. 3. I review RVs, including Class A, Fifth Wheels, Travel Trailers, Class B and Class C coaches. 3. I do general "Ranting" videos where I talk about vehicles, towing, and give my general opinion on various topics. 4. Vehicle upgrade and installation videos on various accessories either I am installing or that are being installed on other vehicles. 5. Interview videos with experts in various fields related to trucks and RVs.

I grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin, where these beautiful trucks are built. They converted the old outdoor theatre to make a huge manufacturing facility. Truly awesome. Pierce trucks are some of the best.
OOOO a fire truck! I reverted back to my childhood and wanting to be a fireman. You gotta respect anyone willing to run into fire.
Hollywood my friend they don't run into fires. The most overrated and glorified job ever!
They do get paid to sleep on the job though! Yet people still don't clue in.
@@daveboydell2896 Bro wtf are you talking about?! You’re talking about the people who are away from their family and home for 24 hours at a time literally putting their lives on the line for ungrateful shits like you. And of course they need to rest every once in a while because it can be an exhausting job. Learn what the hell you’re talking about before making yourself look like an absolute clown.
Being a firefighter in Pennsylvania, you did an awesome job with this video. I loved it!
thank you I really appreciate it.
I don't care what you're given trade is, that's just a gorgeous life-saving machine! I love that rotoray, all the light and signals! He mentions "It's your hot rod", in reference to spec and build...and that's a true statement in regards to EVO trucks. As much as you might "hustle" any good hard-working commercial truck, emergency vehicles are truly expected to "make-haste", at least on every outgoing they make...and that takes a pretty hot rig, to stand up to that kind of a service life.
Squad 3 from Chicago fire needs to place an order for this😂😂
It’s funny because most fire trucks that are being retired now go for $3,000-$10,000 . Quite amazing you can purchase a formerly $500,000 truck for so cheap. I already own a retired police car with almost all of the original equipment, yet the inner child in me still wants a fire truck, lol!
All jokes aside, I towed a stalled 60,000 lb wrecker that was towing a 71,000 lb log truck out of the road with a 2013 F-550 with the 6.7L. It was about a 10k lb utility box set up. Didn’t go but about 3 miles per hour but it did it
Fire trucks made in the USA are freaking amazing
Hey Thanks for this video, I'm a longtime subscriber and also a Retired Phoenix Firefighter/ Engineer/ Pump operator. I,drove The streets of Phoenix for 30 years . My department PFD had a fleet of Ambulances that had The 6.0 and they were very problematic for years. But I also have a 2005 F350 dually with The 6.0,and knowing what i do now about that motor, it's no wonder that we had so many issues with reliability, as we were constantly having problems getting them in for service, oil changes especially and i think for the most part they were running the same oil as we were putting into our large Pumpers as the truck that was featured in this video. Straight 30 wt. I,really enjoyed this episode. I,was around when we started using all of the things featured on that Rig so i was part of the evolution of the CAF System and when you see a Fire on the news where it looks like shaving cream or a Foam Rave Party, That is from the Foam being used to help smother The fire.
Thanks again for all if The Time you take to keep us informed. I'm also The owner of a 32 ft. 5th wheel ArcticFox.
Congratulations D-2 can't wait to see her on the fire ground with Our truck at D-7
Very good video here. I do have one correction though, we do not carry oxygen tanks on our backs for breathing. We carry compressed air. Oxygen is an oxidizer and would be detrimental if a leak occurs.
I had the chance to tour the Pierce plant in Appleton, Wi while our truck was in production. Amazing to see trucks from all over the world in various stages of production while walking through the plant. The power stroke is offered on their contender series. They are more of an affordable cookie cutter line. The chassis and cab is built in Appleton and shipped to Bradenton, Fl for the body to be manufactured. All of the bigger more full customized trucks built completely in Appleton.
from allover the world, probably apart from Europe, where Pierce has no market and the apparatus would be pretty much useless :D
That truck is beautiful
Very nice interview, Love the Grey/Red color!
Bring back the old times
I loved driving those big trucks, especially the airport crash trucks.
The Detroit is nice. You don’t even have to check the oil... when it stops leaking that means it’s out of oil. 🤪
25 years ago that gear set was between 50 and 80lbs per firefighter wearable gear. Add a high rise pack and easily 100+lbs of gear and hose.
Great upload! Always cool to see the gear that can save your life and property, and those who do the work!
I'm a fmr Firefighter- I luv driving firetrucks.
I loved the change and seeing new vehicles
you ask the best questions thanks!
You got that *deep deep sound*
I think the guy holding the camera likes the Cummins motor
The Pierce Velocity is an awesome Fire Department tool and rig.
I always preferred the quantum's over the velocities myself. Sadly my department is switching over to E-One now. No more new pierce's for us.
@@justanotherguy1110 That stinks.
Beautiful color combination. I like how much hey talked discussed engine options, but I do wish they had included a walk around.
i saw a new oshkosh 4x4 on a flatbed going past ohare airport in december last year it was heading to patuxent river naval air station
Very cool truck!!!!
Gotta love Fire trucks.. Our vol. dept. had a 1976 Pierce puke Yellow..fun truck to drive.. then we had a 1958 Ford/Seagrave pumper.. heh.. we kept it in service so we could take it to fireman festivals parades so we would always win oldest truck in service.. it was a ringer.. but funny..
I built poly tanks for pierce fire trucks ,love pierce trucks.
That SOB is sharp!
LOVE the "T for Texas" Texas flag in grill!
i'd buy a firetruck to use as an RV anyday.
That’s a big truck man
This was a great video very full of information.
Thanks for sharing.
Nice heavy rescue
absolute beauty!
This past weekend was the FDIC (Fire Department Instructors Conference) in Indianapolis. They had dozens and dozens and dozens of trucks like this and even "cooler" than this one appears. The fact that it has a Detroit Diesel isn't a surprise. The EPA has basically made it so that what once could be ordered with ANY power plant you wanted is now only available with 2, maybe 3 engine choices. DD13 and a few Cummins choices is it. PS: I know people like the roto-ray revolving light because of all the nostalgia involved...BUT it's a $2000 waste of taxpayer dollars. It's a USELESS light that does a terrible job at warning traffic. That's why they quit using them years ago and only came back because want to be "cool". The Federal Q siren is justified. There's nothing better to clear traffic. The bell....is for parades. Probably a $600,000 pumper truck or more. That'll need replaced in 10 years. A basic and capable pumper is $350,000. Eventually the taxpayers will not fund this type of stuff. Nice truck however. I do like it. Don't get me wrong.
Like the recent videos of the Emergency trucks. I think it's great to see diverse uses of the base trucks. Keep them coming. From Garbage trucks to what i use on a daily basis is a jet A fuel truck on an International frame modified by Garsite (spelling?). We even have an Isuzu for 100LL fuel with a Volvo MoGas engine.
Love the grill 👍🇺🇸👊
That fireman’s hot!
Excellent video
LOVE the Windshield, I hate Split Windshields with a passion
We'll nice vid , we ordered from HME in Michigan. This truck looks to be at least 500k
You should do a factory tour of pierce or Stephen etc as well as other trucks
I want that truck.
Class A foam makes water more effective. It breaks the surface tension of water droplets and allows them to soak into materials better.
Oh man i love it
Great video!
🚨 Hello firefighters friends🚒 Bonjour les amis des pompiers🚒 Freunde der Feuerwehrleute🚨 Have a nice day🚨
Where is that big Hill ? Appleton is 780 feet above sea level. DD13's are made in different locations around the globe, with connecting rods from DDC's plant in Redford, Mich., heads from the Mercedes-Benz foundry in Mannheim, Germany, and block castings from the foundry in South Africa. Still a good Motor. If we( F.D) could get that DPF system off motor. Short trips force us to run a DPF cleaning cycle at station.
I guess a complete walk around and a look inside is out of the question?
This is cruel and an unusual punishment . I need lottery money to convert this into an RV but not change the external attributes . Except I would play ice cream van music from the speakers to annoy the local children . Please buy a poor Scotsman this vehicle to combat female toxicity . Like batman with no attitude .
Ploppy Ploppy
lol 👍
Ploppy Ploppy I thought about converting a hook and ladder as well as one of these into a RV too, it would be so awesome, especially with that Detroit Diesel.
YOU SPEAK OF CRUEL AN UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT but then you want harras and torment little children are sure that your of the human species?????

Yes it has a Detroit diesel, the screaming DD
Awesome video! My fire department is getting a Rescue truck! Which is a big tool box with specialized tools for rescues! It is also a Hazmat Rescue! Will you do reviews with these guys in the later future?
Planning on it. Thanks!
RGV Fire Medical Response are you using the old cutters and spreaders or the new ones
Bro imagine a cut every 4 seconds
2 minutes in and they're already talking about the lights and sirens. I get that they do serve a purpose but I think we get it...fire trucks have flashing lights.
How do you make water, wetter?
Would have liked to see the cabinet layout. who really cares about the motor so much. squads always like to look at other squads for tips and tricks.
Well, since I work at Pierce, in Appleton, I probably worked on that exact truck.....the Velocity is my personal favorite platform, but I am unaware of the Ford 6.7 availability in them. I worked on a Saber Enforcer 6.7 about a year ago when they prototyped the first couple, but have not seen any more built, on my watch anyway. I see reps from Siddons- Martin come through the plant with customers on a daily basis. The engines I see most in a Velocity/Impel tend to be a Detroit, with the Saber/ Enforcer usually a Cummins, but many Detroits in them also. The exhaust aftertreatment on new trucks is, well, insane. I would be curious about the life and replacement costs involved with the various devices.
Now, if you could profile Pierce's parent company Oshkosh and see some rigs THEY build,.........!
patuxent river air station just got a new 4x4 from oshkosh in december
Pierce is where its at. Lafrance is 2nd.
Derek Ortiz more like Sutphen in first, and E-one Second
Ferarra,Seagrave,Stuphen are my favorite..But Pierce is a good Rig too
LaFrance went bankrupt several years ago, Again.
Seagrave
It has a fidget spinner on the front LOL.
This is cool
I was wanting to see the video on the Pierce Velocity and then I saw that this is an RV channel. RVs are cool but expensive to an individual. Where was this video taped? What convention center? Way too many fade ins and fade outs on the video.
My station just got a really nice new one it’s a nice engine but I really want that one. by the way don’t hate me for this but my station hates foam
What type is that
I want to get a rebuild dd from Fitzgerald and stick that in it.
Song name at the beginning please
Million bucks there
I knew someone who sold fire trucks my grampa was a firefighter
They are beautifull but the downsize is that they wont last as much as the old school classics did.....
6v53 dd with rr10 in chevy quad cab
Don’t touch my truck scccccrrtttt
I was expecting an 8V92 or something. My disappointment is immesurable.
What Peirce model is this?
Velocity
these american fire engines seem so heavy and cumbersome and old fashioned compared to the UK and Europe models
OMG a Euro troll, trying to start some shit!
Timmy Meyer ,
Some departments, such as Chicago, have tried European or UK style trucks. They have been received with both praise and condemnation. There are positives and negatives to each size truck. I remember when the idea of using large ATVs as rapid response vehicles was considered ridiculous, but now they have found a useful niche in some departments. USofA fire departments aren't automatically opposed to size change, but once you spend the money it's gone, so you have to be careful with how much of your limited budget and staffing goes for experimental equipment operations.
I see, when I was typing this i was thinking about narrow UK streets, but with the larger and wider American streets, vehicles can afford to be larger
Shark Shooter I'm from Germany and although the lanes on our Autobahn are wider than those of US interstates, the fire departments usually purchase fire apparatus which are more compact simply due to the fact that they have to operate in narrow roads in e.g. historic city centers and residential streets as well.
Some American apparatus, even sth likea Tower Ladder, would never ever manage to get around some turns in 2000 year old city centers, where even some of our departments operate Tower Ladders with all-wheel steering.
Although the average fire apparatus is more compact over here in Europe (and some of them probably being the most compact fire "trucks"), we also operate some of the largest fire trucks, larger than those in the USA. To name just a few: 300' to 367' high Aerial Platforms, Truck Cranes, Buses (besides the "normal" ones which are used at some places in the US as well: articulated buses, double-deck buses), tanks and even trains
The fire departments from US army bases over here used to have American apparatus, but today they changed most of their apparatus against some modern European ones to be more effective (costs, tactics etc)
Sadly the Detroit Diesel engine company we grew up with and that I still have in my semi-truck on it's second life since rebuild has not existed since 2010. The engine in this fire truck is actually a 12.8L Mercedes-Benz MBE-4000 series rebranded Detroit Diesel DD13. DaimlerChrysler, ceased making Series 60 engines in 2010 and rebranded the MBE-4000 as the new Detroit Diesel. Therefore, the DD13, DD15, and DD16 are not true Detroit Diesel engines and I will not drive a truck with this engine nor own a truck with this engine. My truck has its original Detroit Diesel Series 60, 12.7L non-egr, now at 1.2 million miles on its second life and runs like new and still delivers incredible fuel mileage. I have one of the very last 12.7L non-egr engines ever built in July 2002. As long as parts are available, I will continue rebuilding what I have when needed.
ALL THAT EQUIPMENT I BET THEY DONT KEEP A SHOVEL/PICK FORK OR EVEN A 1 INCH HOSE ADAPTER
on weekends rolemodel
So when he says "in all honesty", does that mean he's lying?
Does GM still own Detroit Diesel? Or did they sell it?
Joshua Rodrique good question I was wondering that myself.
sold it
Detroit diesel is owned primarily by Mercedes. I work down the road from the plant where they make some of the internals for that engine. It's still a solid, well built engine for the demands it meets.
Joshua Maloczewski Oh ok. I didn’t know that. Thanks!
Mercedes owns Detroit
This would be classified an engine... not a truck... doesn't have big ladders...
"Make the water wetter" So, is water wet?
PjWarrior & PandaPete reducing the surface tension of the water makes it more effective
Bexar County!
You know that cops are here so that firemen can have heroes, right? Just had to throw that one out there. Firemen definitely have cooler vehicles though.
If being a firefighter was easy, cops would do it.
I thought you were actually going to show us around the truck. This video was a waste of time!
FDNY is better
Jesus Loves You
How much $$$$$$?
I'm guessing north of 600 thousand $. My old department had a saying that I am sure is true today. "You fight fire with dollars, not water.
bad idea
Mtv's pimp my ride went too far this time.
David Bryant the grammar police ha. Far not fare thanks again.
its not a real detroit unless its a 12v72.
There is no 12V72. It could be a 12V71 or a 8V92. But, there is no such thing as a Detroit Diesel with 72 cubic inches per cylinder.
>what is a typo
unfair engine question-----.
Probably rusting out already.
Way too much of the salesperson and not near enough of the TRUCK!
Urge in besides magnitude sell contact substance pepper shut designer inside encourage fall celebrity.
Method quit final zgxfhrl or good leap suburb legend criticize.
How did I know u would say something about ford lol
because it would be ignorant and irresponsible of me to not ask about a new platform engine being offered in a truck that has garnered skepticism simply because it's not your traditional offering. if GM offered a Duramax for this type of fire truck I would ask the same question.
Not that cool, its a standard rescue truck
DD13👎🏻
