When I learned to make Pound Cakes about 45 years ago, I didn't own a Hand Mixer and couldn't afford to buy one, so I mixed up the Cakes by hand. Later on, I would buy about 3 Hand Mixers a year, and burned them up, so I bought a Kitchen Aid and paid $56 dollars for it. My ex must have said 56 dollars 20 times on our way home, that was over 30 years ago and I am still using it. I have made this Cake, it is so good.
Mama Sue the cake looks great. I went to a gathering a while back, someone made this cake but did it with apples. I have made this one a couple of times and my husband loves it
