I’m obsessed with the rybka. On my second one I repeated the tail portion of the pattern two more times to make fins that I attached to the side. They are just cosmetic but look so funny and really add to how much I love it.

I’m currently knitting this also with a cotton yarn and I’m struggling with the tail fin. I’m on my third attempt.

I made it with cotton yarn today, the tail is definitely a challenge and felt quite stiff, pulling on the loops to try to loosen them up or inserting a small size crochet hook to create space for my needle to go in helped me (when trying to knit the m1l and m1r stitches)

Which stitches did you use to make it look different on the body? And how did you put the cord after you blocked it? It looks great BTW!

Ty! The body is knitted in garter stitch, the same as written in the pattern! I left one of the ends on the icord unweaved and threaded it in using a yarn needle ☺️
