Kinda stupid to rev it out to redline, power band is 5000-6800 rpm. Max hp is 6800, max torque 5000, stupid af to go to 8000. I’m soo tired of hearing about the long gear ratios.
Stupid to run it out? One could say it’s the entire charm of this engine/car. Frankly you have to in this car my man to push it, on a track you’re full on pushing to the top of 2nd, 3rd and 4th on the straights, cause that’s all you got gear/power wise. Can’t lean on the torque curve to bail you out, which I’m definitely a fan of momentum cars like these!
I’m sayin the power band loses steam after 6800, it’s not short shifting to shift at 6800. The power band is 5000-6800. I haven’t taken mine to a track, Softronics and FVD tunes give 414 hp which seems like a lot for a NA tune but the engine gets 400 hp in the 911S.

Sorry, but why are Americans always complaining about "too long gearing" of the manual transmission in the 718 Spyder and Cayman GT4??? The only truth is, that the really low speed limit in your country doesn't allow you to driving faster than 80 mph anyway!!! WTF are you complaining??? Here in Germany nobody complains about "the too long gearing" of this manual transmission at all! Why are Americans always complaining about "powerband and long gearing blah blah" of the 718 Spyder and GT4 transmission and such things, when this car is simply too fast for American roads?? You just can't expect from Porsche, to gear this manual transmission in fourth gear at higher revs and driving only 60 mph, which is totally nothing for this naturally aspirated 4 liter flat six engine. This guy in the video is talking fucking nonsense! Nobody would accelerate this manual transmission in fifth gear from very low 30 mph, like he did in this video. Of course the lag of acceleration as a consequence has nothing to do with a Porsche sports car. But who would do this in reality anyway??? This guy seemingly doesn't understand the sense of the manual transmission of the 718 Spyder at all. You have to take this car on a track to using all of its 8000 revs and six gears of the manual transmission, so simple is that! Here in Germany, of course you can use all of its revs and gears on the Autobahn for speeds up to 300 kph, but not on b-roads! Who has the "wish for driving this car in fifth gear at 5000 rpm" on b-roads anyway? Because this means you are about 120 mph fast... !!! I can't see any sense in this very annoying and dumb American complaining about the "too long gearing blah blah" of the 718 Spyder and GT4 manual transmission! Just take the PDK version of this car, if you really want to experience "a lot of shifting through the gears", period!

Also, my research states. “Traffic violations require a wheel witness -- typically an officer, Trooper Steve said.
“Now, this would all change if the video had a recording of criminal activity,” he added. “If your video showed someone causing destruction to private property or a battery to another person, then this type of video could be used for the cause of arrest.”
@20:38 lmao put into first gear 🤣🤣
Well trying to demonstrate the high gearing there 🤙
@@Driven-Productions haha I know but my point is you can just down shift to feel high rev power without having to get it up to 70-80mph
Manual roof it's ridiculous 😢
Some call it apart of the charm 🤷♂️ I’m not mixed, would prefer it automatic even if it adds 80 pounds or more.
Hahaha,.. driving gloves. JFC
Yep, try to do it for all Alcantara wheel cars, esp for high-end ladies for sale like this one was. At least they’re official Porsche leather gloves.
Semmeh Comedy Mammeh 🤣😂😀
Pinkfong 💟☮️
See you 😍
Stupid roof stories... my wife is no 100lbs and she can can open and close the roof in under a minute easily....
Bet she looks nice. I was honest, its a little challenging. Esp folding it back nicely, and yep in this video the latch did not grab first attempt.
@@Driven-Productions
If the car is new or it's a bit chilly outsude the roof can be a bit stiff and has to be hold in place while colosing. But if you have done it a few times it's really not a problem.
Yes, you not make it while waiting in front of the traffic lights and yes, you have to leave the car to operate the roof. But it looks special when open AND closed... a thing hardly any roadster manages to do.
Really...driving gloves. What a tool.
You know I don’t get why some people don’t like driving gloves? Its an Alcantara wheel, car ain’t mine, and their Porsche official driving gloves my man 🤷♂️
Not quad exhaust.🤥 worst review ive seen to date.
We’ll appreciate you watching and for the hate. Dual exhaust, yes…
So drony
Appreciate you taking the time to express your opinion my man. Just wish it allowed me to enjoy the wonderful gear changed a bit more often.
