I love your gnomes! Thank you so much for the tutorial. I cranked out 5 of them yesterday. I also love the tension guide and tags I purchased from you. Question: what is the process/tool/machine you use to get the hearts on your tags? Thank you!
I am so glad you like the tutorial and the tags and tension fork :). I have a laser engraving machine that engraves the heart and cuts out the tags.

I want to try this...Where do you get you faux fur?
I’m not able to find at our local shops.
The one on this Gnome I bought at Joann, but I have found really nice fur from www.etsy.com/shop/KehrerBerryCrafts?ref=yr_purchases§ion_id=28481231 She sells fur in squares and you can probably get 2-3 gnome beards from one piece.
I loved making this, I bought the PDF from you on Etsy so I could look at the steps as I went along. My gnome turned out adorable. But the fur quality I bought from Amazon was awful. Do you, by any chance, have a link to the product you use.
I am so glad you liked the pattern! The fur that I purchase has come from Joann, I go in the store and buy a 6 or 7" strip. You can also purchase faux fur squares on Etsy. The ones in the video are ones from Joann Fabric but I have purchased from this shop on Etsy too www.etsy.com/shop/KehrerBerryCrafts
The blog tutorial isn't there anymore.
I know, I am sorry, I am working on getting it added back. My website was hacked and the hackers wiped my blog, I was only able to restore some of it so I am now working on getting the posts that weren’t saved added back. I hope to have it back up soon.
How big is the rectangle of faux fur that you’re using ?
There is a link in the description with a detailed blog post that goes along with this video. The measurement of the fur that I use is in the post.
How do I find the blog post? I want to make one and need specific items to order.
The link to the blog post is in the video description.
What size bead is that?
I am not really sure, the set that I purchased did not have the size it was just the largest bead that I found.
Do you know the size of the bead you used?
I don’t, I just found the biggest ones I could find and I don’t have the package anymore to look it up.
please do a video on cutting the faux furrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr , its like visa, its everywhere I wanna be !! lol
Faux fur is the least fun part of making Gnomes...or even pom poms...but I can try to add a video on how I cut mine...The secret is to cut it with the fur side down.
@@Savlabot yessss found that after the fact lol
@@jennybrennan910 Same here, a lady at a fabric store ended up sharing the secret with me lol.
How many hats can you get out of a skeein?
I am not sure, I have never calculated the yardage. I always do them in different colors so I will have to do some math and get back to you 🙂
I just checked, it will depend on the yarn you use, but for me it takes about 25-30 yards of yarn per hat. Tension and then also yarn type will effect this number. In a skein of Heartland yarn from Lion Brand which is what I make most of my gnome beanies with and are the ones in this video I can make 8-10 hats. I hope that helps.
what do you charge for the kit at a craft show?
I haven't sold these at a craft show, but have sold a few just to people who have asked, I charge $36+shipping I added in 1 gnome and 6 beanies.
@@Savlabot amazing.. thank you soo very much. Headed to your shop now..
Thank you for this very detailed but simple tutorial.
These are so cute, thank you for sharing...
