The Senate needs more genuine progressives, not phonies like Fetterman. Progressive efforts to expand a foothold in the highly undemocratic Senate have proven to be very treacherous--such is life in an oligarchy that calls itself a democracy (or representative democracy).

What the fuc did dusty do
Doing things just before the election feels very sleazy. In South Africa, they have "Load Shedding", where their power goes off for hours every day. On election years, this does not happen. Which means they can just as easy not do it.
It's literally physically impossible at this point in time for there to be a year in South Africa without load shedding. The entire purpose of it is to prevent the collapse of the energy grid from too much power being left in the system.
Yes, it's been generally getting better year by year, but that's not because of elections which don't even happen yearly, it's because South Africa is finally updating their aging grid that has many power installations that have been around since the 60s and are on their last legs.
They've invested in renewable energy and other sources to replace this aging grid with a more modern one.
