If you are wandering for gxf6 taking the knight in the critical move, then Qxd8 taking the rook, Qxd8 and the other knight fork the king and the queen with Nf7+, Kg8, Nxd8, Bd7(stoping the pawn), Ne6, Kf7 and finally c7. Only way to stop the pawn is Bxc7, Nxc7 and you end up with an extra Knight and pawn.

Should have covered pawn takes knight on f6 also then knight to f7+, if queen takes then white queen takes rook with check, black queen must defend, white queen takes black queen then pawn promotes. If King moves after knight to f7 then queen simply takes rook.
The thumbnail being a sideline instead of the actual pause the video moment solution did actually mess me up, I kept trying to think of ways to force Nf7# but I only saw it as a sideline and so didn't actually calculate Nf6 all the way through. If I had seen Rxd3 Nxe8 Rd8 Nf7+, then I would have actually solved the puzzle.
@7:22 in the hypothetical line, couldn't he bring the rook back instead of taking the knight?? Both knights would then be attacked, which would still allow the capture the following turn, except your rook is controlling the back rank soon to be up a full piece
@@matteohman Then it will be one knight with 5 pawns against a bishop with 3 pawns. The bishop will stop the pawn. I would have liked to see that analised.
Rajat MAKKAR, then, a 7 years old chess player from Cannes (France), won the European scholastic chess championship in 2014 He is already french champion and will take part in the next European and World championships!

Agad, our saga's were one exceptional and unique kind of content only on this channel. Bring back the chess saga's! It's been more than a year now.
Alekhine or Karpov saga please

I agree, I miss the sagas A LOT, but I imagine it really takes a lot of time and theses days very nice games keep happening so
SAGAS > MODERN
Everyone does the big games of today. I've gone back to watching matojelic! Wtf! Mato rivalry is back, baby!! Wtf?!?!

the 3 option; pawn takes knight F6 (6.55mins) is a sweet line that results in a forced queen sacrifice and total destruction :-)
QxR, QxQ, Nf7 forks king and queen and you're up 2 pawns with a winning end game. One of the best games I've ever seen.
Haha. Wow! This reminds me of why I fell in love with chess when I was a kid. It's because of games like this.

Hello! I think 2 or 3 decades ago you said you were gonna do a Steinitz Saga. What’s up with that? Great videos of your games by the way, love them.
Saga chant every video let's do it
7:03 Wow, that's an unusual back rank checkmate! Never thought it could be delivered by anything other than a Queen or a Rook.
Wow! What an excellent queen move
Beautiful.
"Even your uncle could easily win this." LOL
Another line is after knight-f6. If black playes p×knight(f6) then,
Knight f7 check - king-g7
Knight×rook
What a masterpiece. I had actually thought of knight to f7 but couldn't calculate all the way
then it was just a guess.
Great calculating and tactics from these young men
My law is simple.

In the thumbnail position why g captures Kf6 doesn’t work ?
That Kh6 is so awesome, loved it. 5:44
NH6 btw. KH6 is king to H6.
Not used to.
We don't write like that where i live, we have different letters for each pieces.
i looked at kf6 over and over and i just couldnt make it work... ended up giving up. turns out i just cant calculate 😭
If you can, post a video about one od Ivor Colev's games, he's from Croatia
What a creative attack!
In this game the saying "Knights are tricky bastards" is most definitely an understatement

How can black equalize with thr first bishop check when it just retreats and basically lost a tempo?

Rajat is such a French name. 🤣🤣
There's something to be said about having the knight pair in the endgame. When used properly, they are devastating.
but nothing like the 2 bishops from hell
good knight sir
