Is there any song that has been covered more than this one? (Maybe Angel of Montgomery?) The beautiful simplicity of Robert Hunter's lyrics and the plainly-expressed truths contained therein make this and many of the other songs on American Beauty a timeless quality. These songs will still be played in 50, 100, 500 years.

This was such an awesome experience. I’m really excited that I can see myself enjoying it in the front row to the far right. I came by myself and the friend I met to my left was so into his music like me, and we had the best time. I loved watching this video and remembering it all over again!
From 1991 forward, all covers of The Grateful Dead's Ripple are weighed against the massively huge and equally heavy version that Jane's Addiction cut for the Deadicated compilation. It's probably a law. LOL...not. But should be.
Doesn't quite work for me. Love Jason, Love the GD, love this song. But.....i don't know...his gift is inhabiting characters and singing about the human expereince through their point of view. Loser, Brokedown Palace or Wharf Rat would open the gates of heaven.
What a beautiful rendition of Ripple. Thank you for posting this

Same!! Mind blown!! I’m imagining him and John and Otiel doing an acoustic set😍
Such a great evening. Big fan of both Isbell and John Mayer, when we heard this, said to my wife I would love to hear them collaborate on the Dead.
Let there be Songs, to fill the Air❤️

Exquisite. It might be a simple song, but it is not easy to make it sound that good.
Man this guy can do no wrong these days! What a beautiful cover!
His version is reminiscent of Robert Hunter.. very nice indeed.
Nice upload! Thank you -great view too
First time I've ever seen Jason cover the Dead. I think his wife was a fan when she was younger.
This was beautiful and much needed tonight- thank you so much for sharing

Jason definitely pulled from the Jane's cover 🎸🎸🎸
Yup with The Other One as a backing track woohoo!
It's not a cover...
It's a hand-me-down.
Real clandestine filming here. Is this the shows with no phones allowed?
He sang a song at the end that's gonna be on his new album, and they asked no filming. That was the only time I heard that.
