A house of five and one bathroom was my reality for 18 years. It was more like 3/4 of a bathroom bc my dad spend years mid renovation when I was around 8 - it was never finished 😅 and to get hot water we had to start a fire in the wood stove. I'm from one of the wealthiest countries in the world and from 93, but it sounds like I was raised in Siberia a 100 years ago 😂 He was a bit of a weirdo

Oddly, I know that this show takes influence from a lot of things. But I feel like this show takes influence mainly from the Zuckers & Jim Abrahams movie like Airplane! & Naked Gun. But one movie that I felt this show took influence from was this completely forgotten movie called Freaked. Freaked is a film from 1993. It was co-written, co-directed, & starring actor Alex Winter (Bill & Ted fame). In terms of tone & the way it looks it’s similar to Airplane! & Naked Gun. And like I said the film is nearly forgotten. The reason why the film is nearly forgotten is because the story is that before this movie Alex Winter had worked on MTV & had co-created & starred in a show called The Idiot Box (you could probably call it pre-Freaked) which had lasted only a few episodes. Then the head of 20th Century Fox loved what Winter & the co-creators of the Idiot Box Tom Stern & Tim Burns did on the Idiot Box he offered them a chance to make a movie. And everything was going well for Winter, Stern, & Burns until there was a regime change at 20th Century Fox. The regime change happened during late in the production or in the postproduction of Freaked. The new head of the studio at the time watched the movie and did not like it and unfortunately gave this movie a very small release. But despite being forgotten it has received a minor cult following after RUclipsrs like RedLetterMedia, The Angry Video Game Nerd, & The Nostalgia Critic have all released video of them appreciating the film how wacky, bizarre, & how extremely funny it is. And I felt like Gumball took influence from this movie. And another thing that shocked me going back to Alex Winter is that he is the director of the two live action made for tv Ben 10 films. Crazy right?!

The animation looks so different in the pilot. And I’m not sure how many times Gumball and Darwin’s voice changed throughout the series, but I want to try and see if I can hear it.
I just realized how inclusive gumball really has been since the start. Given the Moon is canonically trans cuz we see she later on is a woman while presenting it differently so near the beginning of the show, and then also the fact that Leslie is hanging out with all the girls because it's less so that it's a girls hangout time and more so a attractive to guys hangout time given that Leslie is also canonically flamingly homosexual. Gumball has some wildly good rep
The Moon was is just changed from time to time for the sake of any episodes plot because you know it’s just the moon. The moon didn’t even stay that way either with them flip flopping between them

idea of initial innanimacy is like the most moot point to bring up cuz guess what? It's fictional! It's GUMBALL, There are multiple separate episodes about the idea of inanimate things, up to and including the literal fucking Sun being sentient. Me personally having a completely benign personal belief on something given the evidently true actively shown story in front of us, info, has no basis on your ability to watch the fucking show and just pretend like I didn't say anything even though what I said was absolutely true. Just cuz your fifiers are too hurt by the idea of trans people doesn't mean that the thing that's actively like the case and definitively true isn't a lie because you personally don't like it
