The small imperfections are what give the band such character when playing live. It feels much more intimate and raw as opposed to hearing a band play everything pitch perfect, note for note with no soul (Dream Theater anyone?). No two Dillinger performances are alike which makes each show all that more special, imo. But in saying all that, Greg is a more-than-procifient vocalist and has come a really long way vocally since he first joined the band.

That top note...yes he screams the beginning, but when he comes out the other end of it, it's in tune! Fuck yes, Greg! I love so many things about this song. Including all the piano's black keys. :D NOT an easy song and the guys nailed it.

I love the drumming of Billy. Greg is awesome, his vocal style is very dangerous and because of this his voice is very damaged a lot of times, but really is the best singers when hi is in perfect condition.

After hearing these bbc sessions I'm starting to think this is the way music should sound on an album. I much rather hear this raw sound over "studio quality"

@JordanBlackJackson he's a good vocalist and number one sexiest metal vocalist 2013, you can check it on wikipedia btw :P

Greg is the best vocalist, but his voice is very damaged almost always in live performances because the lot of tours, also the screams are so dangerous overall if you are singing in live performances.

@Raro404 Also only delivers a flicker of the emotion you feel in seeing live. In a small club. Playing this song with beauty and grace. Before and after tearing the place apart and playing like robot demons from cyberspace.

  • @djoxfutura

it would've been a total masterpiece, imo, if they just ended it with the piano part. the return to "as you walk away..." at the end is a bit too predictable and feels like a smudge on an otherwise perfect song.

@a7xcuber he's definitely not a professional singer. 99/100 times he can belt the notes live though
