Champ Elysees by Guerlain is my fav mimosa fragrance. But here and Tucson, AZ mimosa grows beautifully, nearly all over the city. And the smell of mimosa is dreamy, especially when an orange tree is nearby.
Great video!! I’m a Mimosa fan and have 4 of these plus many more. I really love the honey/almond/powder profile. My fav Mimosas are the Goldfield & Banks, Prada Mimosa Infusion, and a gorgeous bottle of vintage Caron Farnesiana (swoon), which got me started on the whole Mimosa thing. I have the Gucci, Frederic Malle & Nateeva. I also have Jo Malone Mimosa Cardamom, Atelier Cologne Indigo Mimosa, l’artisan Mimosa pour Moi, Givenchy Amariage 2007 Mimosa and soon, Amouage based on a sample from this weekend. But now I have even more to explore! I’ll say this about Une Fleur de Cassie, whatever that vile thing is, after about an hour, it settles into gorgeousness for the rest of the time. No idea why that approach, but there you have it! I recommend reading Victoria Frolova’s review on it. I’d also love to see what Pissara at Dusita would do with Mimosa!!
Cheers, Dana...oops! lol Surprised about the dislike for Malle's, but I agree it's a quirky one, and it does feature a 'wet paper note'. To my nose, it's dusky, dusty, perhaps a tad musty and certainly chalky. A bookish, introverted scent. There's also L'Artisan's Mimosa Pour Moi, which is more honeyed, innocent, cheerful, YELLOW - lovely, but not really my jam. (Might be discontinued). My interest is piqued for the Nateeva. Fantastic to see Dalya fall in love on the spot. The Jovoy is another one i'd like to get my nose on, and i love the thought of hazelnuts in perfumery, and so Pierre Guillaume's goes on my list, too. Love this focus on one particular note. Great episode!
Great video! Thank you both☺️ Another note I think is trending is ginger. I would love to see a video where the two of you discuss that as well. Take care!
every video going forward could start with a toast and a "ting!" Cheers! Interesting video - fun to literally see Dalya fall for a fragrance in a heartbeat.
I have an overwhelming desire to drink a mimosa while watching this but I'm trying dry january, which is a soul sucker for an Irish fella 😂 It's always great to see you and dalya together, one of the best and most knowledgeable dynamics out here 🙏
Loved your video on mimosa today and I have sampled Amouage Love Mimosa. My bottle of L'Artisan Mimosa pour Moi is almost empty (a sweet / vanilla / mimosa) and I've been looking for an alternative. IMO- for your female viewers-- the L'Artisan is one of the most beautiful mimosas I've smelled and it LASTS. ALL. DAY! I love Dalya and will check out her #1 pick. More Dalya!
Haven't experienced Mimosa fragrances, but wouldn't mind trying Nateeva Saint Martin (because of the amber), and the Komorebi (because of the mint, tonka beans, hazelnut and oak).
My first niche purchase was L'Artisan Mimosa Pour Moi many moons ago . I smelled so many of them when they were available in Henri Bendel & fell for the mimosa . I loved Dalya's reaction to the Nateeva scent .
Great timing on this video, I think it's a beautiful note for the weather transition from winter to spring and will help people plan their seasonal purchases. Would love to see Champs Elysees (classic) or Infusion de Mimosa Prada perfume in an upcoming mention of mimosa. Thanks for sharing your fragrance passions!
I'd love to learn that skill of being able to identify single notes while thinking about them - I've tried many times - just haven't mastered it yet - but intend to continue to try!
Based on your review I've ordered a decant of Saint Martin. New to mimosa in fragrances and the one I have smelled, Powder and Dust, I didn't like. But thanks for the suggestions!
You should do a video on champaca ! It's quite a delicate scent and a bit tea-like, easily dominated by other smells, so the compositions featuring it need to be less heady than your usual white flower.

It would be interesting which fragrance would evokes memories about Paris, which one is the fragrance that makes you think of Dublin immediately or which transports you instantly to the beaches of Malta etc

I really like it. I guess the original Johnson and Johnson’s shampoo reminds me of mimosa. I also like Guerlain Champs Elysees, as well as Prada Minosa and the L’Artisan one. I am from Chile and a few months ago with my friends we where driving to the north and saw many bloomed mimosa trees on the highway, a friend of mine asked if there were mimosa perfumes because it smells so good, we looked it up in fragrantica and found it was indeed an ingredient, at least the mimosas we have here ( not sure if it´s the same they harvest in France for perfume) smells really nice, quite clean, soft and also a bit green, I totally agree with your thoughts on it, very interesting video, Dalya is great!!!, congratulations!!!
Hi Sebastian! LOVE your videos :) So, what about Mimosa & Cardamom from Joe Malone? Exluded for a reason? Because I recently rediscovered it and really like it!
Mimosa is called golden wattle in Australia and is the national flower here. When it's blooming it's a sign that spring is here. It's the reason why athletes of Australia is often dressed in green and gold.
There are some pink mimosa trees, and they are delicious smelling on a hot summer night. I call them truffula trees like in Dr Seuss. I have never smelled the yellow ones.
Hello! I like mimosa scents, but I haven't smelled the actual mimosa tree flower... It should be beautiful! Besides the ones you mentioned, I would add White Mimosa by Salvatore Ferragamo, I see it more powdery/smoky, it's a very classy and soft mimosa. Champs Elysees by Guerlain and Poeme by Lancome are other beautiful mimosa perfumes, though in different styles, that I love. sadly, I haven't smelled any of your list, but your video made me curious about a few. Thanks!

Ok to me the smell is of like the juniper berries or seeds on the conifer pine tree. When it’s a really hot day these seeds will give off pretty much the very same smell of this cologne I’m after. Now I’ve done a bit a research of what it could be but not sure with out actual smelling. Would anyone have a clue what I’m after .

I’m not a mimosa fan. I don’t get on with mimosa for some reason. I think it smells pretty, but there’s just something about it...I don’t want to smell like it.
Almost like Smelling like a baby right?
It reminds me of the smell of hay
I can see that. Honeyed hay. 😄
I can't believe you called her Dana :O
I didn't call her Dana. I said thank you Dana because she gave me those wine glasses! ;)
@@ThePerfumeGuy lol
I should have made it more obvious! :)
Love Dana! Hope to see her soon, too.
Sebastian!!!!! DO A DRUNK REVIEW 🤣 tell Dalya to make you enough Mimosa’s until you get really drunk! 😉
Why do these always seem FRAUGHT with tension.
Why does that even matter? Most people like that about our videos.
Not a mimosa fan. The prada one put me off
Rich Mitch Very Interesting. It’s like a watercolor to me, in the style of Jean Claude Ellena.
@@loriemcmillin9029 i dont get the Ellena hype, personally, but the watercolour analogy is really good. My favourite is Sheldrake.
are you a fan of Andrier? She is the prada "in-house" perfumer, she's done some really nice stuff.
Rich Mitch I didn’t know about her but should as I found this great coffret of the Infusions on eBay because of the Mimosa. I didn’t know about them beyond the Iris. I do like them a lot, and the style appeals to me for day wear. I love their Mimosa, and will have to read about her!
@@loriemcmillin9029 daniella (roche) andrier. Prada is a good house for work and day scents, all riff on a theme of clean. Good ingredients, well blended, Can't go wrong.
Do you have anything by Cartier?
