  • In the video, Black Folks Camp Too visits Cliffs of the Neuse State Park, where we explore the park's natural beauty and learn about the rich history and culture of the area. The adventure begins with a visit to the park's museum, where we learn about the geology and ecology of the cliffs, as well as the history of the park. After that, we set up camp and discuss tips and tricks for a successful first camping experience. The importance of water safety and education is discussed, highlighting the need for caution when swimming, boating, or fishing in the park's waterways. Throughout the video, viewers are encouraged to explore the outdoors and connect with nature, feel empowered and safe as they adventure, and enjoy the amazing recreational opportunities available at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park.
Located in Wayne County 15 miles southeast of Goldsboro, Cliffs of the Neuse State Park sits on 90-foot bluffs overlooking the Neuse River. Layers of sand, clay, seashells, shale, and gravel create a spectrum of colors on the face of the cliff. Completing the landscape are longleaf pine restoration areas and creeks that were once used to make moonshine and cornmeal and now offer quiet fishing spots. An 11-acre lake complements the river by providing opportunities for water recreation.
