Some people bore you with their talk and theory and even their personal lives so much so you x the video, this guy here straight to the point, clear and concise. we appreciate it.
Alot of people saying it’s dumb, but this the way I do them too. I have to throw my straps by the hook. My company trailers don’t have a box to store my straps so they stay in the winches as well after every load I do. Good job though brother.
I would recommend putting the j hook through the opening behind the rub rail and hooking it under the bed that way your rub rail is clear of any straps
Short, sweet, to the point. Good video.
Straight to the point
Straight to the point!💯
No comment for me you did good job brother thank you
Perfect vedio !!!!! Thanx myguy
Thank you for showing us how is done. appreciated
To each their own… But I would not recommend this method of strapping loads.
It is quick, and it gets the job done. But it’s more of a rookie method.
First, i’d recommend to never throw the hook. That’s a rookie mistake. Because you have a chance of hitting someone, or someone’s truck with the metal hook… And that’s not a happy day for whoever threw the hook of the strap. Someone’s going to be very aggravated when you hit their nice new truck with your strap hook.
Secondly, my personal opinion, take your straps off the winch after every load and roll them up and store them in a proper storage box. Get them out of the elements. It will extend their life. It also lessons their chance of getting stolen off your trailer when you’re parked at a truckstop.
Lastly, all that extra strap rolled on the winch makes it easier for the strap to become More loose as you travel down the road and the load tries to bounce and tug against the strap. Strap on strap will give, but strap on metal winch will not give.
Cool video. Cool that you’re teaching a method.
I just think a lot of old hands and flat bedders would entirely disagree with this method.
Respect 💯
Hook to the rub rail? Does it have a WLL? Purpose of a rub rail is to protect straps and chains in case another truck or trailer "rubs" against you. So why hook to it?
I appreciate you to being light for new truckers, of course we should know some tricks but we should know the right way too
Putting one twist on the strap adds additional tension.
Agree and I'm new
Hope you do more videos strap different loads .. 💯💯
Appreciate you
Very nice. Smooth. 💪🏽💪🏽😎👊🏽💯🤙🏽
Salute
I roll the same way. Never hit anyone with the buckle in over a decade because I'm not retarded and check to see before I toss it and yell out. I do up to 15 deliveries a day and 5 load ups. Taking the straps all the way out I'd never finish my day. Just don't be stupid. Veteran move for me bro.
Thank you ✔️👍
No spreader boards?
& 50 miles down the road it’s loose because of all that slack in the spools. No hate just a fact. Be safe bro
I’m not that sensitive. It’s happened just like you said depending on the material. You be safe as well my guy 🤝
Nice 💪💪
Love it
Never throw the hook. Bad bad bad
I m truck lover
I always found the drivers that have their straps on their wenches are the lazy ones that don’t want to remove the straps
Dont understand why so much people Cry about straps been on the outside elements..
I mean if youre HAULING LOADS ..the mayority of time they ll be outsd hokding a load ...so few extra hrs wont make a difference... besides each straps cost $12.99 on Amazon ..so i dont see the big deal here 🤔🤔
👍🏻
Do you have to go in between the flat metal?
Who was the camera man in this movie? 😂
Lmao for real 😂😂
Supposed to loop it around 1 more time In thought
🙌🏿
Your hook must be to the bottom of your rail, not on top. The reason is because as you tighten your strap, the strap will pull the hook off your rail by friction.
Can’t have the hook on the rubrail. DOT will fine you.
He could have shaved some time by going under the truck instead of walking around showing what to do. Oh well to eaches own .
No twist in the trap hmmm
How to tie a load down on a flatbed... 110% common sense
What about alternating pull high load will shift to one side, if torqued down only on one side you need alternating pull on both sides of the load to jeep it center and shifting
Never happened to me in 11 years thats just nonsence people tell you to waste time 😂
@@jaydarkfire3567oh you just have bags of what is that cement, soil it happened when you have rolled fencing
@erazco6568 nothing just strap and go rolled fencing i just layer my straps and go . I dont get payed enough to look good or be extra safe.
Roy Jones Jr… are you?
Nah 😆
Strap on the outside of the rub rail is not my way.
What size straps are you using
4 in
Do not throw metal end that’s just dumb
Very informative 😃
Why hook to something that has RUB in its name. Tie it to the deck frame inside the rail.
Fire your camera man they completely missed you locking the strap in and filmed your arm and torso
Proper rookie mistake, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME should of been the caption
Pants thiq
Absolutely not, putting your face over that bar when you’re tightening.
Camera man or woman needs training 😂😂😂
I’ll rather haul tankers and get paid forway less work.
That was the easier job I’ve ever done ✅
True
Cameraman is terrible
