I was on the bus with the oaks very nice guys just saw the oak ridge boys concert in Carmel indiana at the palladium, love them very much, joe sent a nice email had lost my husband in 1997 and lost my brother in 1998
Andy, this was FANTASTIC!!! I had been waiting to see this one since you mentioned it on the "Blue Plate Special" last week. The "Gold Medal Story" I can actually see happening. It was almost like what the guys did to Joe for April Fool's Day one year. They actually pulled the joke a couple of days early (figuring Joe would be on the lookout on April 1st). Entertainment Tonight was actually there filming it too. During "I Guess It Never Hurts" they told the audience to "completely act up" during Joe's 2nd verse. Joe had no idea what was going on. People were getting up and leaving, one guy stood up and yelled "Bring out the Statlers, you guys stink!". Joe stops the show and asks what's going on. The guys are laughing behind him and everyone yells "April Fool's". Joe was SO relieved!!! It ended up being the opening story for ET on April 1st that year. Love your books!! Love your outlook on things! I'll keep following!! Thanks for an amazing hour or so away from the craziness that is 2020.
