No facecam outro this time since the camera didn't want to work and I was already almost a week behind schedule so didn't want to fight with it. Also probably won't be answering to comments at my usual phase, I seem to have caught something and feeling really woozy. But I'll get to them after this blows over. Still I hope you enjoy the video!
Pretty much anything in the studio put out was a masterpiece in terms of Art and animation. Violet evergardens lake scene In particular. Especially after all the build up to get to that point. Made me cry.
Yeah, it's the dedication to that one piece of animation that they produce every year that sets them apart. Just goes to show that if you give it your all, the results will speak for themselves
I do not watch anime much anymore hut you are very correct. 4 years ago this is what brought me to love slice of life! Your video is great and im surprised you dont have more subs. Cheers!
Slice of Life is best described as Sienfeld or Friends when it comes to Situational Comedy. Often taking place in what appears to be the real world, but unusual situations happen that make the comedy part. Azumanga Daioh is perhaps one of the early Slice of Life examples with Nichijo coming in with the most bizarre. And for something recent, My Deer Friend Nokotan.
@@c0nsoomer924 it's still a good watch imo, the other stuff more than makes up for it. Especially the way Kobayashi and Tohru interact with each other. It goes from the silly to the seriously very fluidly and then to lol boobs.
@@c0nsoomer924 yeah, it get surprisingly deep at times and explores things like human relations, for example there is a skit about Tohru and Kobayashi fighting over who get's to make Kanna's bento for her school trip and it dives really deep into why you sometimes need to fight with people you are close with.
"Double Z's"? Are you refering to Ilulu? Don't let her looks fool you - she's one of the more complex characters in Dragon Maid, and surprisingly (?) wholesome.

Slice of life is severely underrated genre to the general anime community.
absolutely!
Sadly. I LOVE slice of life shows.
@SupremeCommanderBaiser indeed! I've been into Komi Cant Communicate lately and just loving it.

Daddy cheese has done it again
good lord the final clip at the end ahahahaha
I'm ngl Kobayashi look so good. Only thing making me hesitate from watching it is the Double Z's girl, and the fanservice.

@@addedcheese Thats what surprised me the most from you vid. I didn't realise it had that many dimensions to its story.

@@olab.4352 thats good to hear, my biggest fear is that she was that she is just a fanservice character
If you want to watch a really good slice of life, watch Perfect Days. It's a about a guy who cleans toilets. It's peak cinema.
@@c0nsoomer924 oh god, I've hear of it the japanese film right?
@@addedcheese Yeah really good. One of my favourites.
The Dragons are cute
As much as I love MKDM, I'd submit that IF KyoAni has a true magnum opus, it would be Violet Evergarden.
If you can get past the fan service, Miss Kobayashi Dragon Maid has a decent story and a likeable cast of characters and great animation.
Still a master piece guys dragon maid
no matter how many times i see them. im not watching this s h o w (your reveiw was prtty gud ngl but still)
Ok, your choice. But I think you're doing yourself a disservice.
Feels a bit hard to call this a Magnum Opus with all its big big flaws and small small flaws.
