    • @DjNikGnashers
      @DjNikGnashers 3 года назад

      @@homiixide I still own (and love) the car.
      I had it remapped a few weeks after buying it, and it is running at 411bhp/576nm.
      I still get an average of 28mpg, even though I do like to drive it quickly.
      The fuel tank is quite small, and I use about half a tank per week just going to/from work.

    • @homiixide
      @homiixide 3 года назад

      @@DjNikGnashers I’m thinking of getting either F30 330i or 340i M Performance. No one I personally know has ever bought a 3 liter gasoline car so it’s difficult to know what it would cost me to own one. I don’t mind paying for a car I love, but I don’t wanna break my back and literally work for it and put my wage in to it either. B58 engine is very durable and reliable from what I’m seeing. But maintenance, tires, breaks, gas cost can be high.
      I’m assuming I could go about a week or a week and a half with a full tank which would roughly cost between 200-300 euros a month in fuel, does that sound about right?

    Interested I getting an M240i but there are comments on forums about issues with the oil filters coming apart in the oil filter housings during oil & filter changes done either by BMW service departments of owners doing their own oil changes. This has required replacement of the filter housings by BMW with an hourly rate of 5+ hours labour. OK if you are covered by a warranty or the failure happened while the cars was in the hands of a BMW service department technician. Also similar stories of this happening to other B58 engines in other models. Have you had an issue?

    8:26 what's the deal with your 2 side grills where fog lights normally go? On my 240 LCI both sides are open with coolers behind them, but yours is blocked on one side. I mentioned this to my salesman when I collected because I wasn't expecting both sides to be open... he must have misunderstood my question cos he just mentioned fog lights... well I knew it wouldn't have fogs, I just wasn't expecting twin coolers... so why is 140 different to 240 in this regard when the only real difference is body plan?

      Ahh. So the new 2018 m140i and M240i have both lower grills open and have 2. Coolers. It's to do with the new emissions. From what I've read and heard as the new 2018 cars have the PPF they need additional coolers apparently. I could be wrong but going by what I've read.
