There was only one person (yes, a woman) who slept with him that EVER came out of the woodworks to demand that he publicly announce that he was HIV+. Her name is Waymer Moore. She also accused him of KNOWINGLY giving it to her. She said they had a 1-night stand in June of 90 (the Lakers were eliminated in May so he had time on his hands). She was apparently a former classmate of his at MSU and they re-met at a charity event and then later did the nasty. Magic didn't know he had it until his blood was tested for an insurance policy in Oct 91. That's 6/90 to 10/91. That's a long distance. He had gotten married a month before the blood test not officially knowing that he had HIV to that point. Moore wound up suing him in 94 and they settled out of court. No one else at all since 90 (29 years) has accused him of giving them HIV. The odds of there being anyone else by this point are pretty low. If there's anyone else, they would've tried to get his money just like Ms. Moore by this point in time. Twenty-nine years. I think the likeliest thing is the simplest explanation. He either gave it to that woman or she gave it to him on that night in 90. And most likely, he had unprotected anal with her. HIV is rare from unprotected vaginal unless the male and/or female both have chaffing or a sore on/in their junk to transmit it that way. Now, could he have had it even before 90? It's possible, true, but again, your brain would have to conceive of a person thinking they got if from him and never bothering to sue by now (like Moore did). Low odds, imo. That's just me.

The gay demo probably mirrors that of society as a whole in any large group or organization, sports are no exception.
