He was natural at everything he was intrigued by. Great to see him, in new elements , cos he adapted very quickly out of respect for this new foray. A latter day Renaissence man who lived a unique arc in a rather , large life.

I get it. I saw a polo match at shogram., the highest up village. With an area big enough for a polo match. It was right next to Tirich Mir the highest mountain in the hindu kush and 10th highest in the world. 60 year old pathan men whose amazing skill, fitness was truely breathtaking turning the horse on a sixpense whilst trying to prise a goat carcass from the other team. Forget, football, rugby, golf, as compared to polo and the horsemanship was just wonderful to watch. I bfelt so privaliged to be a spectator and i still have a few photos from end August 1997. Its the best journey ive ever taken. Thank you chitral and those kind people.

this is the interview that made the irs chase down ginger because they thought he was rich? but he was actually poor af and spent all his money on horses?

I guess. As great he was as a drummer, he was a moron when it came to handling money.

People say Ginger was grumpy nasty as an old man well anyone who's as sick he was is going to be nasty. I know people who have met and said he was very cool.

He seems very approachable. I say this because i read that he was a ornery, difficult person.

In Baker documentary , Ginger said Jon Bonham couldn't sling sh-t, I disagree. The best rock drummers were schooled in jazz drumming. Buddy Rich , and Jean Cooper

Gene Krupa. But Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa were not his big jazz influences; it was Aer Blakey, Elvin Jones and Mx Roach.
