I love the tiny details in the edit, like the cuts of putting all the pieces through the planer and the fun pops when putting clamps on. They really add a great character to your videos.
I appreciate the outtakes the most. Other videos make it seem like no one ever makes a mistake. But the outtakes are exactly like I sound when I’m in my shop(minus some more colourful language), so I must be doing better than I thought.
I will only watch this channel out of all the other woodcraft channels because you show us and tell us what you are making and your voice is so soothing to listen to 😁
The wife did something similar but incorporated the original crate/kennel. She used plywood and stained it to look like barn-wood. she used the kennel because our pup is a 70lb hound and is a bit of a hard head(as evidenced by the cracked hardwood door in the kitchen).
Absolutely love your videos. The dictation/commentary is so helpful for me, as I am a legally blind wood worker. There are so many videos out there that just show the person doing the work without explaining what they are doing. Yours are fantastic
Came across your channel about a month ago. Binged all your videos in one drizzly Sunday afternoon and than had to wait for a hole month for new material. But it was worth the withdrawal symptoms, what a beautiful project! Hope shopbuddy number 2 appreciates all the hard work you put into it. Now I have to wait for a whole month again? Man....
Very nice build. Your furniture always comes out looking very professional and finished. For a second I thought you were going to use a table saw moulding blade. Honestly, routers are a lot less scary than those things. Thanks again, and stay safe and healthy!
I recently built a double dog crate and used my Earlex 5500 on it for its first use. Loved it, and loved your crate. I really enjoyed seeing the half lap joints used instead of pocket screws. Thanks for the video.
A video from Fisher's Shop -- err...Fisher's Hop !!! Just what the woodworking world needs in these anxious times !! Thanks for the video !! We need more of 'em !!
This is a great video. All your videos are entertaining and informational. I really appreciate the outtakes showing the little mistakes that are common but often not shown. It helps us all know that we are human and opps are okay.
Of all the channels to choose, this is by far my favorite.... only channel I can’t wait to see the next installment. Quality work and the outakes are always a must see. When sides were falling over, I can soooo relate. Very talented... keep up the good work.
One of the few channels I can't wait for a new video to come out. Love the projects, love the commentary, love the outtakes, love the details. Definitely one of my favorite channels. Beautiful kennel.
It's so nice to have been with your channel from day one. Incredible how your skills have improved over the years. The projects is getting more and more advanced. Unbelievable that your neighbor has put up with you all these years :-)
Just found this channel. Gotta say I like your work and it’s obvious you take pride in your woodwork and all the filming and editing that goes with it. However, the “dad jokes” is what got me to hit the subscribe button. A little well timed comedy goes a long way. I forward to watching more. After thought: I don’t know the history behind the flathead screw thing, but I can guess, and I think it’s amazing.
Very nice. Great idea on the sled for your planer!! You are a natural at explaining your process. I was interested all the way through and loved your witty comments! Keep up the good work!
“...memory span of a goldfish...” I swear I don’t recall ever hearing that before and someone said it on a conference call I was on a couple hours ago. And then you say it here. These are crazy times.
Scott Bentley it refers to goldfish being dumb but as a expert on goldfish (for some reason) I can confirm that they have an extensive memory that can last years
I just found out you're from Michigan! I live in Grand Rapids. Small world. You're my new favorite RUclips channel. I've been binging on your videos for the past week lol
Another beautiful project! I love your outtakes, keeps it real. Let's novices like me know it's not going to be perfect every time. Thank you for sharing.
Well its nice to know that I'M not the only one who has to take off their glasses to get a clear view of small stuff!! LOL Great build!! Thanks for sharing! :)
Great work. My only critical thought is that I notice the door kinda sticks out into your living space. I think a good option would be to use half pin barrel hinges so the door could be easily stowed to protect any toes, shins, or low-hanging foreheads.
Well that things going to fall apart. The space cards you used weren't all prime numbers. Looks great! Wife actually asked me to make something like this for our dog just recently. Guess I have little exuse not to build it now. Thanks 🤣
Your outtakes made my day! I would like to improve on your design by making the door be able to fold back and lay by the side. That way it would not be in the way when it is open. Also, I am not sold on your method of attaching the top. However, that said, this is an awesome project and looks great! You are my favorite woodworking channel.
Has quickly become one of my favorite Woodworking channels hands down. Work is top notch, the subtle humor, and the outtakes take this channel to the next level. Keep up the great work sir!
I love this channel. Best all around. 👍
Wow, thanks!
Fisher's Shop 10-4 good buddy
100% agree. Fisher is my favorite wood working RUclipsr right now. Great content and terrible jokes :-)
Me too! Fisher's Hop is one of my favorites!
Hip hip replacement...I mean hip hip hooray for fisher. Health and a penis...I mean happiness 😁😁😁
the narration is on point. Thumbs up, esp regarding the flat head screws!
The humor in this video of an excellent build was criminal! 😎
Thanks for the humor and acknowledging that even skilled woodworkers can, and do, make frustrating mistakes.
Glad you liked it! Thanks
I love the tiny details in the edit, like the cuts of putting all the pieces through the planer and the fun pops when putting clamps on. They really add a great character to your videos.
Thanks! I appreciate that.
Man, that is so much nicer than the one my wife makes me sleep in all day.
Hehe, thanks!
I appreciate the outtakes the most. Other videos make it seem like no one ever makes a mistake. But the outtakes are exactly like I sound when I’m in my shop(minus some more colourful language), so I must be doing better than I thought.
I could literally listen to this guys voice all day.
He sounds like a pbs narrator.
Sounds like listening to the adult Kevin narrating The Wonder Years!
Outtakes always give me faith I'm not alone lol
So True
I will only watch this channel out of all the other woodcraft channels because you show us and tell us what you are making and your voice is so soothing to listen to 😁
Well thanks! 😊
I appreciate how hard you we’re trying on the drawer face 😊
I try
Yeah that was pretty good! You should have folded :)
The wife did something similar but incorporated the original crate/kennel. She used plywood and stained it to look like barn-wood. she used the kennel because our pup is a 70lb hound and is a bit of a hard head(as evidenced by the cracked hardwood door in the kitchen).
Love the flip-flop disc Sander. Great work !
A true example of doing all things to the glory of God. Great job friend. I may end up building this. I’ll send to pictures if I do.
I'd love to see it
Absolutely love your videos. The dictation/commentary is so helpful for me, as I am a legally blind wood worker. There are so many videos out there that just show the person doing the work without explaining what they are doing. Yours are fantastic
Fisher's Hop is by far my favorite channel
Drew, such a great addition to the home. This is a perfect example of how Woodworking can better your daily life in more aspects than one
Thanks, Chris! Yeah, this one turned out real nice. And the fuzzy guy loves it too, so that's a bonus.
Has to be one of my favorite woodworking channels. Loved the project and vid.
Man....
Haha, yeah sorry! :) Glad you like the vids though
Very nice build. Your furniture always comes out looking very professional and finished. For a second I thought you were going to use a table saw moulding blade. Honestly, routers are a lot less scary than those things. Thanks again, and stay safe and healthy!
Thanks, Frank. You too!
I love that you keep the out takes coming! Thank you for the smile. I think we all need one right now.
I watched your videos not only for the projects but the voice over and goofiness. Keep it coming.
GREAT project Drew and that latch on the front easily turns the kennel to a prison with just flip of the finger! !! !!! 7:04 Like the "last" clamp
I recently built a double dog crate and used my Earlex 5500 on it for its first use. Loved it, and loved your crate. I really enjoyed seeing the half lap joints used instead of pocket screws. Thanks for the video.
Thanks, Andy! Yeah, I just couldn't bring myself to using pocket holes with walnut. :)
Shop Buddy #2 must be super happy .... Awesome job Drew!!🐶👍👍
Thanks, Mike!!
Drews voice is perfect for voiceover. Always great vids too.
Hey, nice project and thanks for showing off the featherboard!
Thanks, Andy! And you bet... I love that thing! It blows my mind every time I use it, haha!
Your woodworking is of high quality, as it the narration. Thanks for the chuckles and laughs. Total enjoyment!
14:05 "Why am I even doing this" That one hit home. I think/say this all the time!
Of all the channels to choose, this is by far my favorite.... only channel I can’t wait to see the next installment. Quality work and the outakes are always a must see. When sides were falling over, I can soooo relate. Very talented... keep up the good work.
Well thanks! :)
Very nice - you do beautiful work. "Kill room"...lol, I got that reference. This is definitely not the typical 2x4's and rebar, thank you.
Great video. I always recommend Fisher to fellow woodworkers.
Cool, thanks
Walnut is always an excellent choice. I'm sure Shop Buddy #2 is tail wagging happy with the results.
Yes! A new Fisher's Shop video!
Outtakes are brilliant, I always watch till the very end
One of the few channels I can't wait for a new video to come out. Love the projects, love the commentary, love the outtakes, love the details. Definitely one of my favorite channels. Beautiful kennel.
Much appreciated!
It's so nice to have been with your channel from day one. Incredible how your skills have improved over the years. The projects is getting more and more advanced. Unbelievable that your neighbor has put up with you all these years :-)
Thanks, Lars!! :)
I love your projects and I enjoy your humor.
I'll be honest, I just came here for the dog but the work you do is so interesting it was impossible not to watch this, thank you for uploading!
Well, thanks! :)
Welcome aboard, Chris
Sir, I am sure you hear this all the time in comments and at home, but I must say it as well, you are brilliant.
Well done! I've seen these floating around and have wanted one for years. You made a very lovely piece of furniture and your rodent seems pleased.
Thank you very much!
The last blooper.... I do that all the time! Never enough clamps!
Always enjoy some Fisher's Hop videos.
Very nice looking kennel (piece of furniture) Drew. Really enjoy watching your videos.
Thanks!!
I love the outtakes 😂
Love this video! Please record your shop lighting project! I need to put new LED lights in my shop and I want to see how you do it!
I'm having a terrible day and was very excited to see this posted. Thanks for the distraction! Love the project!
Very nice. Great idea on the sled for your planer!! You are a natural at explaining your process. I was interested all the way through and loved your witty comments! Keep up the good work!
Glad you liked it!
Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Great idea on the end table/dog kennel. Thanks for taking the time to produce the video. Y'all take care and God bless.
You bet! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing and love the design. Love the black shirt you have on. Thanks for the support.
Thanks, Will! :)
“...memory span of a goldfish...” I swear I don’t recall ever hearing that before and someone said it on a conference call I was on a couple hours ago. And then you say it here. These are crazy times.
Scott Bentley it refers to goldfish being dumb but as a expert on goldfish (for some reason) I can confirm that they have an extensive memory that can last years
I'll give more facts if you have one's to trade
"I don't recall ever hearing that before"
Memory span of a Scott Bentley? :D
"Fisher's Hop" Best channel ever! :)
Excellent video as always. I love the way that walnut looked with that finish. It will be interesting to see if the walnut will darken over time.
I just found out you're from Michigan! I live in Grand Rapids. Small world. You're my new favorite RUclips channel. I've been binging on your videos for the past week lol
Haha, good stuff. Yeah I'm in the GR area too. :)
Always a happy time when a Fisher’s video comes out great channel!
Had the same pup, loved that little guy‼️👍👍. Vinny 🇺🇸
Thanks for always making me laugh while giving instruction in your amazing videos.
Glad you like them!
Lovely Drew, and the ad integration was especially well done. Now a slightly bigger one for Shop Buddy #1.
Thanks! Haha...yup, with a locking latch. :)
@@FishersShop
One latch on the outside and one on the inside.
Love your videos ... especially the out takes... they allways bring smiles too my face. 👍🏻😊
Best woodworking channel!!
Another beautiful project! I love your outtakes, keeps it real. Let's novices like me know it's not going to be perfect every time. Thank you for sharing.
Nice job!!! I love your build videos. Also, I'm glad you include those outakes, They crack me up because I always do the same.
Thanks!
That turned out so good! Beautiful work sir!
Thank you, sir!
When me and my mate Jesus were at carpentry collage together we used flat headed slotted screws just like the ones your using 👍 🇺🇸🇬🇧
it's not proper English to say "me and my mate" it's "my mate and I" it gives the impression of being selfish
@@MystiqueULH
Just make sure you say “my mate and me” when you can replace it with “us” rather than “we”.
I love this. When I retire from this vet gig, I’m going to start building custom pet furniture
That's a Luxury prision... great job
I am impressed! Now I have to go get a dog! Really, that is a great looking kennel that doesn't look like a kennel. Thanks Drew!
Awesome channel. Great humor and I really enjoy the out takes!
Thanks so much!
I love your blooper reel at the end, makes me feel like maybe I'm not really all that bad at this :-)
Well its nice to know that I'M not the only one who has to take off their glasses to get a clear view of small stuff!! LOL Great build!! Thanks for sharing! :)
When you flipped that table from a belt sander to the other tool you blew my mind
Looks amazing! Might make the large one for Bruce one day... and one for our dog, Bruce! Haha loved the video, Drew.
Haha, I hope he sees this. :)
Fisher's hop makes some beautiful stuff!
Nicest doggie jail I've ever seen! You continue to use so many efficient ways to build furniture. Great job buddy!
Great use of stolen ply!
All kidding aside, what a great multi function project.
I’m gonna have to make one for my PTSD dogs come firework days.
Great work.
My only critical thought is that I notice the door kinda sticks out into your living space. I think a good option would be to use half pin barrel hinges so the door could be easily stowed to protect any toes, shins, or low-hanging foreheads.
Too inconvenient to close it then. Maybe if I did that but have it open the other way, then it would solve both issues.
@@FishersShop Why would you want to close it anyway?
The blue spindles were a bold choice...but I guess the black looks better in the living room. Great job as always!
I'm so glad you didn't disappoint by leaving out slotted screws! Great looking dog cage, I wish mine was made from nice walnut :)
Haha, thanks!
Excellent video, one of the best you tube channels,
Thanks!
My dad gave me one of those square hole makers. A lot of people don't believe me when I tell them about it. Great video as usual.
Thanks Chris! 👍
Another great video! You have my favorite woodworking channel.
Thanks, Chris! 👍
Love the commentary 😆 the kennel turned out amazing! Love the outtakes
Great looking bedroom for the pup.
Thank you!
Well that things going to fall apart. The space cards you used weren't all prime numbers.
Looks great! Wife actually asked me to make something like this for our dog just recently. Guess I have little exuse not to build it now. Thanks 🤣
Hehe, I'm running out of card spacing jokes. I'll have to think of some more :)
Brilliant build. I just wish other You Tubers had your sense of humour. Great job, well done.
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great vid Drew. I love that it looks like a piece of furniture.
Thanks, Kevin!
I absolutely love you videos I've taken alot inspiration and i love the comedic voice over!
Thanks, Michael
Excellent work with your Earlex paint sprayer! We love the smooth finish on the dog kennel. It looks like your pup approves too!
Yup, the sprayer did a phenomenal job! Thanks, Earlex!
it’s 4:17 AM and the only thing that’s helping me sleep is the soothing sounds of the woodshop
Your outtakes made my day! I would like to improve on your design by making the door be able to fold back and lay by the side. That way it would not be in the way when it is open. Also, I am not sold on your method of attaching the top. However, that said, this is an awesome project and looks great! You are my favorite woodworking channel.
Awesome job! I'd love to have a workshop like this and at least half the skills you have!!
Has quickly become one of my favorite Woodworking channels hands down. Work is top notch, the subtle humor, and the outtakes take this channel to the next level. Keep up the great work sir!
Thanks 👍 Glad you like it!
Great vid, as always. Beautiful piece of functional furniture.
Glad you liked it!
It’s beautiful, my friend! Well done! And I thoroughly enjoy your sense of humor. Keep it up!
Glad you enjoy it!
Hey, it was funny, but really great save on that last bit. You've got great spacial awareness! Great build.
Nice! Gotta think about building one for our dog. Thanks for the video.
You bet!
That looks really good. I also love the comedy you incorporate throughout.
