We Got A Leaker!

  • Here is a service call I ran on Monday. system was completely out of refrigerant. After speaking with the customer he opted to have the system replaced so since he was dealing with some health issues, I repaired the coil and recharged the system to get him by untill the install crew could come out to replace the system.

    Do most HVAC guys use nylon or PE wire ties? FAA makes us use nylon and to me they seem to last longer.

    Did you go back with R22 or did you convert to a replacement? If you converted, which refrigerant? Great job!!

      This was converted to 407C but best practices were not used. It was just a quick and dirty repair to get them by until the system could be replaced the following week.
