this gym took me DAYS and oh my lord was it hard. I used all fairy types in my team which was a pain to grind. Yet idk how sucker punch kept killing all my fairies. This is ridiculously hard. And that pawniard's defiant was another pain. Were like just past the 2nd gym and its like radical red champion level. But finally LORD AZUMARILL(Cuz he pulled me out through all the battles so far) took down the fricking absol. another reason bcz this is hard cuz u have 1st or 2nd stage evolutions at this point and the gym leaders have effin megas. This is surely INSANE MODE
I’m glad you understand my pain! This took me days to beat as well. Lol, yeah you really have to build a full team to counter their specific types. Every single one of his Pokémon is super threatening, you need to plan how to deal with everyone. Huge power Azu has been absolutely carrying me these past couple of hard fights, nobody else was able to take a hit AND then one-shot absol. And yes, while we have 1st-2nd stage evolutions they have MEGAS it’s actually crazy lol. But that’s what we signed up for with insane mode!
This was one of the easier gyms for me personally lol. I think I beat him on the 2nd try XD. Just wait for the 3rd gym if you thought this was difficult.
@@psnisy1234 I definitely had to change my team around before I stood a chance. Also I’m trash lol And yeah, I made it to the third gym… might be a while before the next upload. You’re right, second gym doesn’t compare.
Finished this Gym with Makuhita , Florges , Arcanine , Ribombee , Lucario and Gallade. Lucario and Ribombee got trolled by honchkrow , couldn't do a thing to enemy side. Silver wind didn't raise any stats although being blocked by protect 2 times of that hunchkrow. Gallade being the MVP took out Mega absol with 1 HP . Insanely dramatic win for me . Going to attack Underground Emboar boss next
Really late, although I sweeped first try with lucario. Leveled up to 27 and spammed Power-Up Hit. Boosted attack and took out Absol and Liepard's fakeout increased speed with Lucario's steadfast.
Great work there azumarill is a very good option but i was not able to get frendship evo. Good thing u used ribombee. I will tell u a tip. U might know this but still, u can mine for different evo stones in the north kbt. And u can get different evostones for example u can get a dusk stone and use a frosslass for the third gym cuz its flying. Make sure to make good use of the mining. (And u can get heart scales as well) It will 1000$ but u can a good amounnt of money from fighting the dark trainer in dresco.
Thanks! Azu was definitely essential here, and of course Ribombee as well. I actually do have a frosslass, but I definitely couldn’t use it for this gym. Been mining as well. Thanks for the advice though!
I forgot three of the members but I remember I used Florges, Hariyama, and Azumarill. P.s: Vega is hard but the 5th gym is definitely the hardest for me.
@@maverick6385 all solid picks! You really do have to team build specifically for ever boss battle in this game. 5th gym was the hardest? Thanks for the heads up. I haven’t looked that far ahead yet but I’m stoked for even harder battles!
@@VersacePokemon Well it depends since I only played and beaten insane once. 4th and 5th gym are the hardest gym definitely. I just think the 5th gym was harder since it was a completely new experience for me.
@@maverick6385 ahh so they changed the 5th gym since the old version? Either way, it’s all a new experience for me lol. Had to full send it on insane first playthrough, wouldn’t want it any other way! I can totally see how playing the old version helps to be prepared though!
Bruh I'm playing this shit on Sandbox Mode and I'm STILL having some trouble with this gym. Ribombee can basically wipe his whole time all by itself with Moonblast but Mega Absol just throws a wrench in everything
It’s pretty crazy the opponent has mega evolution while it’s only the second gym lol. I definitely recommend Azumarill if you’re having trouble. Ribombee is pretty good for this battle, and Azumarill play rough with huge power is enough to one shot the Absol. I forget what my EVs were here, but max defense max attack is probably best. It just needs to be able to tank one play rough from Absol, and get off a play rough of your own. Hope this helps and good luck!!
Good job man I think lmma try insane mode but the grinding lvls are gonna be I hard I think lm literally almost done on difficulty mode and I got beaten up by a old man and women in the Victory Road BRUH
Thanks bro! Levels are the least of your worries! By the time you get to the next gym you’ve already hit the level cap by a mile. Grinding EVs is definitely crucial though, I’ve found. Well he was the easiest gym o defeat since I use a comfey and able to do 2 times growth when he send a Pokemon who is just setting traps and then the drain kiss do all the work .. the hardest one was 3 one .. I just got trashed there for no of times ..
@@VersacePokemon Actually I figured it out it was too early , marril learns at 21 and evolves into azumarril at as early as 18. @@Thecakeisgreat ahh that’s right, marill has to learn it at 21 before you evolve into azumarill. Glad you were able to catch another one, play rough is such an important move for Azu and crucial for this second gym. Nice job beating Vega, glad the video helped!
@@VersacePokemon I used a slightly different team, I found a Growlithe with a modest nature, indimidate and an S iv in special attack, I ev trained him as a special sweeper and evolved him using a stone from the mines, and got flamethrower from the move tutor, the arcanine was able to sweep most of his team and I ended up finishing the fight with four pokes still alive.
