I remember flying PAL in the early 90s when they still flew the 747 200s and remember when they were getting the 747 400s and flew the 737s on domestic routes .
PAL should replace there a340 - 300 with 787 - 9 because the a340 is very old and not appealing than the 787 is more appealing. but they should still order more B777 - 300er for long - haul flights and improve there business class like other asian airlines even the new business class is very old and not appealing. and wishing that all of there aircrafts like the 320, 321, 330 should have all the new IFE even if it is domestic or international they should still have the new IFE for all of there aircrafts especially the a350 :)

Flew PAL 747 200 series in 1993 and 94 and 747 400 series in 2002 on our last trip to the Philippines 🇵🇭 haven't been back since whenever we do look forward to flying the 777 haven't been on one yet.
4:38 Fuel efficient?! 777-300ER fuel burn at 8300 kg per hour is not as efficient as newer generation products like A350-1000 which is around 6500 kg per hour. If the route is not dense, using a 787-9 or 350-900 makes more sense with even more fuel savings. A359 burns around 5100 kg per hour.
Fuel Efficient for its class the A350 is an aircraft the uses composites and so is the 777x-9 the -9 might not be as fuel efficient as the 350 but it has Jumbo Capacity for the efficiency of a twin jet in the sense of it the Boeing 787 despite being a few years older and only being made of 60% Composites still matches the 350 in Efficiency since Boeing had the upper hand in Design over the 350

Carl The Brit in The Philippines they use this Boeing 777-300ER for their Euro and North American flights, my cousin has been flying PAL with only those types of aircrafts. They rarely use the a340 now.

Do not blame Boeing for this. Many other airlines like United, American, Air Canada, Air France-KLM, Qatar Airways, LATAM, Air New Zealand, Emirates, etc. have aircraft of the same spec: a Boeing 777-300ER with GE90s, and they have not experienced any problems with this aircraft type.

I went back to Iloilo from Toronto last 2018 and my first to ride the PAL 777, but I was so diasppointed the TV opposite me for my own use was not working. I asked to be moved to another seat, but denied, the flight attendant said "You would have to pay for the change of seat."
As modern and sleek as the 773 is, the interior is anything but subpar. Those front extra compartment in the Business Class look like an ottoman and even though it may seem to have a purpose other than putting your old favorite sweater, it just looks cheap. I thought that PAL will have more edge over its competitors when it comes to design but nothing stands out.
Took the business class MNL to YVR flight last month & disappointed that there was no wifi connection on the business class. PAL should upgrade their planes on their middle east routes. My personal experience with PAL from my Riyadh to Manila flight was not good, they do not have an in-flight entertainment system, you have to download the PAL application by using your device. What a mess!
Last year I went back to Iloilo and PAL was my air carrier. Guess what the TV in front of my seat was not working. I asked the lady attendant if I could to another seat(the one in front, first row seats, and she I wound have to pay extra for the. seat. Could she have offered me another seat where I could enjoy my flight with a working TV in front of me? No no no she did not. I told the attendant to fix it, but then nothing happened with the TV. All the way to Manil for 16 hours no entertainment for me and it was my first to fly on a 777. Sad sad sad for me. I couldn't for get about the trip.

Nice new plane for Pal just hope they also improve thier service specially onboard service which is not that good compared to what you get flying other asian airlines like Asiana or Eva and the likes cause your paying more flying them from the US and isn't it filipino hospitality is one of the best or used to be the best?!

_AsIaN340 YT A380s for PAL are just to big for demand and needs. All international airports in Philippines cannot take regular A380 Passenger service. So no. A380 will never come to fruition.
