    This carnivore, the Carnotaurus, was first discovered in Argentina.
    The name means 'meat-eating bull'... as if a regular bull wasn't bad enough.

    "Every day, the dinosaurs are testing new strategies to overcome our methods of containing them. If we are to survive, and yes, that's what we are dealing with, then we need to stay one step ahead of them. That's where a video like this latest one comes into play. This is our step." - Ian Malcolm

    I think it would have been awesome if Michael Crichton were to return to the chromatophore attributes in the juvenile raptors but now with the Sorna population. Because it's very unclear if both raptor populations possessed this attribute, or if it was unique to the wild raptors born on Nublar? If it was unique to the Nublar raptors, then why? Or did the juveniles observed during TLW at an age where they had lost that ability?
    There were some many routes that Crichton could have taken these mutant abilities, or maybe apply this feature to several other wild born animals from additional species too?

    Yes, an awesome video. I agree it is important distinction that the creatures in JP are not real "dinosaurs", I say chimeric creations or "bio-engineered theme park monsters" but it is also a good notion to explore the science of genetics, and paleontology, and how this passion continues to evolve our understanding of the past, but also a look into the future. I wonder how would these bio-engineered chimeras be scientifically classified.

I recently finished 'The Lost World' novel, and 2-3 things gave me pause for thought, one of which was Levine's observing of the Carnos to "weigh five hundred pounds each" ... At ~7 feet tall & presumably almost three times that in length, I wondered immediately if Crichton had perhaps written "hundred" instead of "thousand" by mistake? I can't imagine that 500lbs does these animals justice.

    Technically, there is a possibility that some dinosaurs had the ability to camouflage since we don't even know what their skin color is. I see Michael Crichton's dinosaurs as a reminder on how little we still know about Dinosaurs. I like to see stuff like Dilophosaurus having a frill and spitting venom and Carnotaurus as being able to camouflage as a natural thing for those Dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park world as it's funner than simply using mutations as an excuse.

    3:07, I would really like to see this Dinosaur camouflage in any Jurassic movie, despite the Indominus Rex did this in Jurassic World.

    In my Paleoprime project, my Carnotaurs' chromatifors (did i pronounce right? Anywho) will change color depending on behavior & activities;
    Red: threatened
    Orange: offense or camouflage in the desert.
    Yellow: hunting
    Green: camouflage in the forest
    Blue: thirsty or covered in rain water
    Purple: sleeping
    Pink: mating moment

    Basically Crichton made them so just to see how they would manage to do it in the second movie, but the bastards didn't even try. Indominus might come as an attempt, although too late since Michael died years before.
