- Fell asleep editing the video till 4am haha, forgot to schedule the video at 10:00 as promised. Love the leveled look, it looks much better, amazing how only 2" and $60 can change the look of the truck so good. The dually fenders i still could not find good condition in white, so i think im going to use the ones i have right now, fix some cracks on them and use them while keeping an eye out for good ones, i really dont want to repaint them so i just have to be patient for white ones to pop up.

Major props for letting Matthew help out. My dad did the same with his tractor trailers when I was Matthew's age. Memories I'll never forget. Got the truck looking better each vid!
Thanks sir, now that Silverado is mostly done I still have to finish up the shed build and then it will be all F350 fun lol
That leveling kit makes the truck look amazing
Thx I agree, only $60 and huge difference
It's really good how it's going, and also good that you involved your son on the project, that's awesome
Thank you
hope you remembered to reattach the sway bar end links.
Nope not yet but I have it noted to not forget lol
Fckkk ittttt
Always nice to have a great helper! Hats off to Matthew! :)
He said thx bro lol
Thanks for the vid man. Gave me the inspiration to do the same to my 01 today. Biggest pain was lining up the second spring with the seat. I understand what the chain tackle rig was for.
Tell me about it lol... I’ll buy an-adjustable pan bar probably, leveling shifts front axle little
FixItNick I was wondering about that with mine, but I took a leaf out and only went with 1.5 inches. If it did shift, it it must not be much because I can’t see any difference. And yeah, lining up the second spring mount took me like an hour and four ratchet straps.
Yeah, these are the questions I had. I'm here to see what unforeseeable problems there may be. This video has no explanations and the time lapse makes it pointless. I know the kit levels the truck, that's why I bought it. I have to complete the project in 1 day by myself. Can I do that? I'll have to look elsewhere to determine that answer.
Your kiddo is adorable bro
Thx bro
I was going to do it myself but now I won't. Those 2 inches made the difference. Great job!
Nice work matthew! nice easy install. i cut the bolts too. it just looks like a nicer install when they are not hanging down too far. wonder how it will look when you put the dually fenders back on since they are a lower opening around the wheel than the bed cut out is. can wait for the next video on this truck.
Matthew said thx bro! Lol ... got a pair of white fenders for me??? The 2 I have are busted but I might just repair the cracks for now and install what I have while looking for good white ones
matthew is one cool little helper! i dont have a set of fenders but i will keep my eyes open for some.
Thanks for making this. Cool you got your kid out there helping. Kit looks killer.
Always good to have little extra help 😉
Watching your kid mimic you and stop once he bumps you.. “ subscribed” haha
Hahaha thanks he has a blast to bad he can only do few little things
Looks even now better
Thanks,
Well done Nick. Don't let the Cat run away while the wife is away. Nice to see Matthew help out.
Haha yup or I’ll be living in one of the sheds
Have you heard of Sulastic springs?
For the front they have a kit that gives it a two inch lift, and it also helps your truck ride 1,000% better! They mount in between one end of your leafs and the frame mount and don't affect your capacity. Not cheap, but quality costs
Dont forget to adjust your alignment... Its only a 2" leveling kit, but i guarantee (had to get my 04 aligned after mine) your alignments off.
Looks good.
Thank you, the alignment doesn’t change with solid axle levels, but I’ll do alignment regardless
@@FixItNick My 04 has a SA, an it was off afterwards. Not by much tho. I put a a strip of tape at the top of my steering wheel, an iirc...it was off by about 3/4 or 7/8. It didnt pull the front drastically or nothin.. just enough where it drove me nuts more an more i thought about it.
There is also a leveling kit that is much easier to install, it's just an extra leaf in the front springs. I installed the same kit on my 99 F250 and my 02 F350, it doesn't stiffen the ride and levels it out really nice. Just an FYI.
Thanks, where did you buy the from leaf? I was thinking maybe swap blocks to a leaf
Noothin like a 7.3 i love mine
Same here bro!!
the only downside to the leveling kit is that if you tow or carry anything heavy, it will throw the nose of the front up in the air. You should get a bigger block for the back to give it some rake if you do tow or carry, if not then no worries!!! look a lot better lifted as do all trucks :)
When I get to towing heavy I’ll install airbags in the rear 👍
Very Straightforward and looks great.
That makes the truck sit much better. Now lets pollsh those headlights up, and all it needs is some fat old fenders. All in all, a very good looking truck, and I am really enjoying the series on this truck.
Thx Mike, good idea I might try polishing to ugly bulbs for fun, never done it, but main goal is to do a 2015 front platinum conversion, maybe when I hit 50k subs to do something big exciting? Will prob put in the dialysis fenders that I have for now, can’t find any good white ones yet
FixItNick Wow, front end swap would really change the look of it. I hear the kits for polishing the lights do a pretty good job, cheap enough to try. Either way, the Ford is looking better for sure.
Mike Reed I think front swap might be about $2500 or so for everything, will have to save for a bit before I tackle it, but would be interesting to try doing it for cheapest possible. I’ll try polishing headlights with stuff I have to practice lol
Thanks for the great video. Im doing a leveling kit for my f250 soon and your truck looks exactly what I am looking for.
Thx bro, yea the 2” seems perfect
Did you have to change the sway bar rods for longer ones?
I'm wondering the same???
Needs headlight restoration.
I agree with you, I might try to polish them, but main goal is 2015 front conversion... maybe when I hit 50k subs I’ll do something huge like that??
2003 headlights and turn signal/running lights will give it a little update and only takes like 10 minutes to change them out. Less than $100 for the set on ebay
Brandon Floyd if I’m doing something I’m gonna shoot for the moon lol
@@FixItNick everyone like all his videos to bring in more subs! Lol
DRo3m lol thx bro
Can't wait for bed led kit
Me too, I think it would be a cool little install
I have them on my 2006 chevy great upgrade and easy to install yourself not plugging anybody but look into opt7 lights a little pricey but great quality
Already got a set on eBay for $16 set of 8
Looks good! Just need to get some fender flares for the duals now!
much better now!! great job, I'm going to do the same in mine. Thanks for sharing!
Thx bro
Looks way better and also looks perfect to me also
Love this type of videos keep it up nick 👌
Thank you appreciate it
Oh look you have shoes on now. Did you drop a bolt on your foot when you were wearing slides?
Haha slippers for life!!
Don't forget, you also have those dually flares to put back on in the rear. I believe 1 1/2 would have been perfect. I don't think 1/2 an inch is that big of a deal.
Yea I’ll put those on soon gotta fix them
Nice rig man!
Do you place your floor jacks on either side of diff?
Great video! I appreciate how easy you made it look!
You should move to some place like Indiana where you don't need so many stupid inspections.
Thanks!
Thanks bro! Yea CA sucks, I love living here but hate the stupid mumbo jumbo!! I want to have a main address somewhere else lol
Thumbs up on the new truck mod as well as the new cat.
Thank you
Great video as always
Congratulations on the project.
Thx bro
You forgot to bolt up the sway bar to the link thumbs up so nick can see
Good catch haha, I made a note to myself to not forget 👍
FixItNick lol yeah I saw you leave it alone after took it off to put on the second part of the lift kit and was like nooooo don’t forget to put it back on. And you did lol. Keep up the great work!
i LIKE YOUR HELPER , GOOD WORKER!
Amazing video man!! Thanks for the share. Doing mine right now. Great music too!!
nice! I did the same thing on my Excursion with a 6.0 PSD. aligning the lift blocks with the rachet straps were kinda time consuming.
Did you change pan bar?
FixItNick no I didn't.
Looks so much better awesome job
Thx zac
LOOKS GREAT !!
Little too fast for my novice abilities but nice to watch. What are your jack stand points? The arms?
Beautiful kitty
Nice video bro truck looking good
Thank you
I love it! Maybe do some 33 inch tires !
Thx man, I’ll upgrade later but still have lots of other stuff coming up
I love this f3fitty build!😂🤘🏼🤠🤘🏼🇺🇸🤤😍
Thx bro, I’m hoping to do 4” exhaust soon after pass smog and DMV Stuff
Great video and great editing!!! thank you
Thank you
Leveled looks way better ! How are the Pittsburgh jacks working ?Looking to pick one up , Is that camper a new toy ?
I had those for a few years so far love them, especially the light weight. The RV is parents they park it here
Nice job man, Now it looks great , but after this the truck needs alignment??
thanks for the video, I have a 2004 and was thinking about doing this! I bought mine new so I know what it is and I only have 95k miles on it!
It’s worth the $60 if you do the work yourself, will look much better
Front needs to be lower so the truck would be level with the load in the back.
It’s fine, if I’ll be pulling a heavy load will install air bags in the rear
Great video gotta do this to my 99 f250!
Do it looks much better
I think it looks great
Great work..great video.. truck looks RIGHT !
Thank you
Did you have to get longer vacuum hoses brake hoses etc?
What's up friend, in which store did you buy that augmentation kit?
Don’t forget to reattach that sway bar!!!
That’s on my list didn’t think anyone will catch lol
What kind of coffee do you drink? WoW you were moving Faaaaaast....
I've got an early '99 F350 Extra Cab PS 4x4 and it's needs this face lift with your coffee!
I purchased a 2” lift kit that has all of the same parts you have. Do I need anything beside what is in that kit? Watching the video it looks like you have a sway bar that was not hooked when you said the job was complete.
I was also wondering do I need to lengthen any of the lines (brake lines, etc).
is it possible to add slightly bigger tires to get another inch rise on your truck now? I'm ask because I have a 2000 Excursion I would like to get about 3 " higher.
Hey man just curious how long did it take you to complete the install? I want to install mine but I don't have a lot of time to install it
Nice video... I think to put on at my Excursion 3inch but we will see 💪
With stock shock 2.5 is about max I think
Love the video and the tutorial , I have one question . Is that leveling kit only for the four-wheel drive model?
Yes, two wheel drive f250s & f350s doesn't have leaf springs.
I like you’re job bro >> Good luck 👍🏻
Thx man
That cat is beautiful
Thanks lol she’s the most human cat ever
did you have to get a longer track bar or leave it unhooked from the sway bar
I've been thinking about doing a 2in leveling kit and then adding 2in lift shackles front and rear so total of 2 inches
You mean total of 4”?
@@FixItNick ya
Okay, this is my 5th video tonight. I couldn't find the love button so I had to hit like. Great job. Less than a hundred bucks. I will be doing this to my truck. I hate that you have to live there in California and deal with that bull crap of CHP. Good luck with that. Many blessings to you. Keep up the good work.
Thx bro, ya for $60 best mod if can do it yourself
sway bars not put back on. will they not reach?
Looks nice hop u and your family are doing ok down there in .ca
Thank you, we are good thx
That time when you bought a levelling kit and realized the truck already had one :D
A load in the bed...
Wait what? Not sure what you mean lol you man I level I I just gotta load it up? Well actually I want it taller on the front not lower the rear haha, I’ll install airbags in rear of towing heavy trailer
I have the 2002 version of the truck. There are a set of overload springs in the rear, and when you reach about 1200lbs tongue weight in the back they touch. This results in a nearly level ride height. The reason I've never installed a leveling kit is because I don't want my truck look like a boat on-plane when it's towing a trailer. A set of bags rides WAY worse than the factory overload springs. The worst ride is when you don't have enough weight to sit on the overloads, but enough to just bounce off the overloads, they constantly slap on bumps. A dually truck should never require bags, the 2 stage springs work VERY well and handle the weight just fine. I've got a pintle pull trailer with 4klbs tongue weight and it will cause the back to sag a little (I have a custom frame mount pintle hitch), but it's not a problem. That said, I prefer the ride of a gooseneck over a pintle, bumper, or weight-distributing hitch.
Yea I’ll prob buy 5th wheel over hitch also
Did it change the ride characteristics , rougher ride or more sway that you noticed Nick. Thank you for your 7.3 content! Any injector upgrades in the future?
Not really at all, 4” lift tho more bouncy
I’ve been having a hell of a time installing my leveling kit on my 03 F250. I can’t get the axel moved over enough to line up with the springs.
Keegan Dahle it’s a pain. I have to use 4 heavy ratchet straps and a pry bar to line it all up
Yea that’s why I used that ratchet chain from harbor freight
So did you plan on an adjustable Trac bar and alignment after?
Jordan e I bought an adjustable track bar but when I started installing it wouldn’t fit, I then realized my stock one is perfectly centered lol
Thanks everyone for the input. I unbolted the track bar and that was my issue. I got it all together and am waiting on an adjustable track bar and a consequent alignment.
Hi nice build you need some 19.5 aluminum ford wheels
I agree that would look pretty clean, but would have to convert to semi truck 10 lugs?
yeah, thats the only problem with the 19.5
@@FixItNick no you wouldn't have to have 10 lugs they make 19.5 in the 8x170 lug pattern.
Matthew Pipkin aren’t tires more expensive on 19.5 cheaper on 20” ?
@@FixItNick tires are more ex3on a 19.5 rim, but you can expect to get about 150k to 200k miles from a set, and no adapters needed them make 19.5 in a 8x170 bolt pattern
Truck looks good! Im thinking of getting a 3" level for my e99
Thank you, with 3” nose might be to high
@@FixItNick ya idk. It should be here wednesday. I will let you know how it goes
@@MrMetalliholic how'd it go?
Great video Nick, Thanks!
Thanks
Was you happy with this leveling kit?
Leveling kit made it look more staunch. It was to low in the front. She looked saggy and depressed before. Looks good now! I think some running boards would make it look better. Been watching since your first vid on this truck. Make me want to find a dually to fix up:) Is the paint on the hood really bad or was that just dirt?
Thx bro, prob one of my fav trucks so far, I had a 2012 Ram Cummins it was nice, but the price of it made me depressed lol ... the hood is just dirty haven’t been washed in long time just like my Silverado, washing in 100 degrees is worse than not washing it, makes water spots
I would’ve checked the parts first lol. They always love to screw me over right before I get ready to install
Check what parts?
How long were those u bolts before you cut them down?? And why do some of these kits come with extra spacers? Pan arm drop down spacers on the 3 in kits.. I have blocks but I need the u bolts and possibly the pan arm spacers if I decide to go 3 inches. Just confused why the 2 in doesn't have the pan arm but the 3 in does.
Not sure how long they were before cut them, 2” don’t need pan bar but I still think I’ll install one because it shifted axle about 1” over, for 3” level it will shift over 1.5-2” I’ll get adjustable one
Mine just came in the mail for my 02 f250. Thanks for the video!!
Question, what is that chain for, I dont have that.
Also how do you know your axle is going back into the exact same spot?
Chain is for pulling the axle to the side a little to make it fit under the leafs. Leafs and panbar is what keeps the axle place, but with a leveling kit it actUlly moves axle so the side a little, I’ll have to get adjustable panbar later on tonperfectly center the axle
@@FixItNick seriously? Moves it to the side even with just those 2 spacers? Ah damn. Tomorrow I'm rewiring the 4x4 part of my truck, something happened and shorted out the relay box and melted the relays, and while working on it was thinking of doing the lift too. Didnt seem too hard until you got that chain in there, all i have is ratchet straps which could work I guess lol
@@FixItNick hey, only took 3 years, but I finally got around to actually installing mine, watched your video for a couple references during. Was actually a bigger pain in the butt than we thought to install it, but we got it. Exact kit you did. Next weekend is gonna be the pan bar since the lift itself took longer than we thought. Thank you for the video and input!
The truck looks really good so far but you have to do something about the head lights
Like what? I was thinking to polish them, and then want to do a 2015 convention after save up some money
FixItNick ya you could do a update although I'm not too sure what your aftermarket laws are there
cold shoulder I haven’t heard of any laws about putting in front conversions
Ok cool well just to let you know why I said that is because I'm from Canada so I don't really know how the us works with all there laws like from state to state and what have you
cold shoulder so u are telling me Canada is more strict with upgrades like body upgrades?
Is the ride quality any worse with the leveling kit?
No it’s the same actually
Good Job 👍
Thank you
@@FixItNickI’m back 5 years later to do mine on my other powerstroke 😂that’s awesome
Looks great
Get them fenders back on the bed!!
Haha ya ya!! I keep in looking for good set of white ones can’t find, mine have cracks so I might just try and fix and use what I have for now while looking for different ones
@@FixItNick start looking at local junkyards.
DRo3m I already found one :)
Needs the headlights restored and before long it will need new front leaf springs
Why need front leaf springs? I’ll do headlights restore soon and then will be doing 2015 front end conversion would look sick
FixItNick that will look awesome and the reason I said new front leafs is when you look at the truck when it's on the jack stand, the front leaf springs are relatively flat, but they're supposed to be curves, a lot. They aren't flat so it's not important now but it would make the truck look better.
How bad out of alignment was it after?
Awesome dad.
Thank you appreciate it 🤗
What are the effects of a 2" lift to the ride, handling, mileage and structural integrity?
Everything is pretty much 100% identical, nothing is effected
Looks good bro
Thx bro
you should but single wheels in the back
Nah want dually, looks nice leveled with 4” exhaust tuned manual
Hey fix it nick what is the song you are playing in the background?
Hey bud, did this affect any of your towing capabilities? Or do they squeak after a while?
Didn’t effect anything
How does it ride now? Any problems so far? I have a similar truck and was interested in leveling it as well.
rides the same, no issues, since i havent changed leafs it doesnt change the bounce
Curious how that impacts the ride and steering quality
Same both
it has a slight lean in the front but level close to level i just did mine and it leans forward slightly
I love mine
For sure ! I put 285/75r16 A/T and 05-07 style black grille for my 02 it’s a beast now. Getting 05-07 Harley lights next.
Thanks for video!
