After their relationships dissolved so did the group. I feel sorrow for the divorce of these four people that brought the world so much joy. However after 40-years after ABBA has split their music still lives even stronger than before

I'm 35 and rocked out to ABBA in high school. Lol My dad only listened to the good stuff from when he was younger including E.L.O., Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, and of course ABBA among others, and I grew to love them all. My very first concert I ever went to was the Moody Blues! It was awesome.

Wow. So many mistakes here. The Anni-Frid -Alan West 'affair' was a non-story from the start and it's sad to see it regurgitated. The paper that broke the story even admitted that his alleged affair with an unknown woman started years before he'd even met Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The paper simply dragged her name into it to 'juice up' the story. The two ladies in ABBA suffered this kind of thing all the time during the bands heyday so no wonder they both withdrew from public life for so many years.
Yes it is sad. I guarantee that 99 out of 100 thinking people would do the same thing as they. Endlessly confronted with crap either printed or otherwise, masquerading as insight, new information or a hot scoop constantly in your face day in and day out. Amazing that they were able to make music at all and I really believe that weathering that slime storm as they did simply adds to their legacy.
My perception of both Anni-Frid and Agnetha is nothing but positive. The interviews of each that I have seen on You-Tube make me view them as honest, open, and wonderful women.

You can't fault any of the original band mates for their hook-up's to each other considering their rise to stardom and the time they spent with each other without the social intervention and normal social interactions. Each was convicted to their career's in music, and it was only natural that they would turn to each other for comfort, BUT as the money poured in they realized they did not need the support of band mates they hooked up with in their starving years to make them successful. This being said; they (being young) worried they did not need to be together 24-7. This realized freedom (with the money) gave them new opportunities to pursue their dreams, and life style's they could only imagine in their early years. I only wish i could have been there to further their careers with a LONG lasting plan that would have made them withstand the years, and given us THE FANS years, and years of wonderful music without the long years of letting other new bands take away the thunder that was ABBA. They can still out perform many bans in todays music market, and do it individually, or stand out alone without question.

Then after, they were responsible for the musical MAMMA MIA! which became the most successful musical in history. Besides they wrote the musical Kristina, unfortunately a Swedish tragedy story, which is beyond beautiful.

They are still playing together and touring in Sweden. Other than those two, you are missing a lot of facts about Agnetha and Anni-Frid I forgive your misspronounciations since it's pretty much only Scandinavians that ever gets them right.
